Leeteuk was in grotesque pain, but he wasn't sure if it was entirely because of the punch. If only he had just a few more seconds,
he could've...he could've...
Done nothing more than he had.
He wiped more of the flowing blood from his mouth, as he heard footsteps approach him. He turned towards the direction of the sound,
expecting to see Taeyeon return to comfort and say she was wrong, that she trusted him, that it was really all an act.
However, all he saw was a black silhouette, seemingly belonging to a male figure. That was confirmed when a deep voice echoed in the hallways.
"Nicely played, Jung So-ah," the voice said.
Eeteuk's eyes squinted in an attempt to make out who it was. "Nu guyah?" he asked, wincing at the pain in his mouth when he talked.
"You don't need to know that," the person said. There was a noticeable smirk in the tone of his voice. The person reached inside a
pocket in his jacket and pulled out a white cloth. He tossed it disdainfully at Eeteuk's feet.
"Clean yourself up," he said. "You look like such a pathetic mess it's hard to talk to you when you're like that." Unexpectedly
obedient, Eeteuk crawled over to the cloth and used it to dab at his mouth.
"Now, while you do your best to fix yourself up, perhaps I should introduce myself," the person said. "I am the one who put you in this
complicated mess in the first place. Of course, I want to get you out of it but the only way you're ever going to get out of it is if you
listen to my every word.
"You see, whether or not you notice--but I doubt you do because you're too ignorant and obnoxious to notice the things
going on in front of your face--I've been paying some special attention to you recently, and I've noticed you've been spending some
more time than you ought to with a special young lady."
Eeteuk's eyes widened, and the silhouetted person reached into his pocket and pulled out a photograph. It was a photograph of Eeteuk and
Taeyeon together in the restaurant, laughing and having fun. The pain seemed to intensify as Eeteuk saw the photo. The person tucked away
the photograph.
"For obvious reasons," the person continued. "You tried to hide the truth behind the fact that you were actually quite taken by back this
cute young lady to so many people. One of them, as you are probably quite aware, is me.
"So, being the complete idiot that you are, you made up a story of you having a crush on that princess girl of our school--what's her
name? Well, it doesn't matter. Yes I know of your confession as well at the library but I must admit it was just about the stupidest
you could've done in such a situation, because you simply drove Taeyeon straight into the palms of my hands.
"So from that moment, every single action you and Taeyeon have been doing have been tracked by me, and I managed to manipulate it to make
it look as if I were the good guy. Well, technically I am, because this will be for your own good in the end.
Eeteuk's horrored look rece again as he finally realized just who it was that was talking to him.
The person laughed. "I must admit this game has been quite fun, but it's going to have to come to an end soon before someone gets
hurt. And there's no point in lying anymore, Jung Soo-ah: I know you love Kim Taeyeon."
The words pierced Eeteuk like a knife straight through his heart.
The person chuckled cruelly. "It's a shame," he mused. "That you were so afraid of revealing your feelings to her that you drove her
straight to me."
Eeteuk was now fuming. Before he restrain himself, he got to his feet and lunged at the dark silhouette. As he was about to take a
swing, the person dodged out of the way ease and gave him a hard kick in the ribs. Eeteuk cried out in agony and collapsed, the throbbing in
his body unbearable.
He groaned. "You cheater...!"
"What? You really thought you could best me in fighting?" the person chuckled again. He gave Eeteuk another shove in the ribs, makin
him cry out again. His body was now bruised and battered completely.
"Let this be a warning to you, Park Jung-Soo," the person said. "You find a way to get yourself out of this mess...or else." As a
final blow, he gave a sharp jab into Eeteuk's back, making him roll over and another terrible cry ring out into the empty hallways. Eeteuk
moaned, and with his face down, he heard the retreating of the person's footsteps.
With one last surge of willpower, he managed to gasp out a few words.
"T---tae...yeon-ah...miahne...."
And his bloodied face slumped and hit the wall with a resonating sound that echoed treacherously throught the halls.
