As the days passed by, the snow kept falling. I went to the studio a couple of times and kept practicing. And went to see JB’s adopted parents the day he was leaving. I cried on the way home. He was like my little brother. I did some more baking and watched a few more of Shinee’s interviews.

It’s now 29^th of December, the Saturday of my second day with Ren. We headed to the movies to see this new English film, ‘Pitch Perfect’. As we drove home in his car we were discussing the movie. He pulled up into the drive way and he got out of the car.

“Ok but you have to admit Rebel Wilson was hilarious.” I said as I walked around the front of the car towards him.

“Who was that?” he asked.

“The Australian actress, she played Fat Amy.” He nodded.

“Yeah, she was hilarious.” He laughed and I laughed with him as we started to walk towards the house I heard a loud fake *cough* from behind us. I froze and slowly turned to see Key umm Jonghyun, Onew, Minho and Taemin standing behind us. Ren followed my gaze to where they were standing and jumped. “My gosh, seriously don’t sneak up on people like that.”  He breathed. I couldn’t blame him for being so jumpy Key looked like he was going to murder someone.

“Hi Key.” I waved sheepisly. He crossed his arms.

“Kitchen now!” he was clearly holding it in, in front of Ren. We all walked inside and I followed them all to the kitchen while Ren sat in the lounge room.

“You want to tell me why he’s here?” Key said he looked so scary.

“Ok, in my defence when you called I was going to tell you that Alex and Sarah were spending Christmas with their family so Ren came over instead because his parents are away. But someone cut me off.” I explained quickly.

“Wait so you spent the entire day alone with him on Christmas?” Taemin’s expression was unreadable.

“Yes, but all we did was make cupcakes, go to the orphanage and then today we went to see a movie.” I explained. I didn’t like is expression, it seemed as though he was a little hurt but there was also something else in his expression that I couldn’t make out. But either way it was my fault he was making this expression.

“Oh, well, um~” Key started before I cut him off.

“Now if you’ll excuse me I’m going to say goodbye to my friend if that’s ok with you!” I said angrily. We walked into the living room but I couldn’t see Ren anywhere.

“Some friend, he didn’t even say goodbye” Taemin said but I ignored him and headed for the door to see if he had really left when the door opened and Ren stepped inside.

“Hey Meghan, sorry I had to get something from my car. Thanks for today I really enjoyed the movie. And I know you told me you didn’t want anything but here.” He said handing me a present beautifully wrapped with a pink bow on it. “Happy Birthday for you know, Tuesday. Sorry it’s late but I wasn’t sure what to get you. Anyways I hope you like it.” He scratched the back of his head and then hugged me. “See you soon.” He said as he closed the door behind him.

I stood in silence not daring to move hoping that by some sheer force of dumb luck that they hadn’t heard what he said just now or that if I didn’t move they wouldn’t see me. After I heard his car pull out of the drive way I almost dropped the present when an orchestra of an ear-piercing scream hit me like a tidal wave.

“WHAT THE HELL!!!!”
