Meghan POV

“THEY’RE WHAT?” Alex screamed. I waved her down as people started to stare.

“They’re going on a tour to Japan. They leave on Friday and are coming back in two weeks time.” I said. It’s Monday today and I was telling Alex and Sarah that the guys will be going on tour to Japan.

“But that means you’ll be alone for Christmas! How could they leave you alone knowing that?”Sarah asked.

“Well... about that. I sort of told them that I’d be spending it with you guys. And before you say anything, I just want you to know that I don’t want them worrying about me while they are there. They should be enjoying it not regretting it.” I said.

“But... but that means...” Sarah started.

“I’ll be alone on my birthday, I know.” I said.

“Then we’ll spend it together.” Alex said.

“NO! I mean, I’ve told you time and time again that you should be spending Christmas with your family.” I said. There’s more to the reason that I was my parents’ miracle. I was born n the 25^th of December, Christmas day. It was always fun getting my birthday presents on the same day as my Christmas presents. But it always made my auntie think I was spoilt. I’d always laugh when she would tell mum this because her kids would get more presents then I would and their birthday is in May. “Just don’t tell them ok? Can that be my present this year? That you promise that you won’t tell them, or EXO.” I put on my best puppy dog face.

“Fine.” They said. The bell rang and I headed off to Math with Luhan and Taemin. Class flew by and the next period came. Today was my assignment performance for Information Technology. When I was in hospital I had told Kai what the choreography and music was and he promised he would teach it to Ren and Hye Mi. We did our performance with the robots and despite my lack of presence it went pretty well. We sat and watched the other performances and they were really good too.

After class as I was about to leave I felt someone tug on my shirt. I turned to see Ren.

“What’s up?” I asked putting my books down.

“Can I ask you a question?” He asked.

“You already did.” I teased. He pondered for a moment.

“Can I ask you two questions then?” he asked.

“You already did.” I teased, he frowned. “Kidding, what is it you want to ask?” he paused for a moment again.

“I saw you with your friends this morning. I’m really sorry, but I overheard your convocation and I heard that your birthday is coming up. I was just wondering when it was?” he asked.

“Oh, I was born on the 25^th of December.” I replied.

“Wait you were born on Christmas?” he asked stunned.

“Yeah.”

“Oh, well, I was wondering if you were going to be alone on your birthday then maybe you might want to go see a movie with me or something?”

“I’m sorry but no.” His smile dropped, “I mean, you should be spending Christmas with your family.” I explained.

“Oh, don’t worry about that, my parents are going on holiday, it’s sort of like a second honey moon. They do it every year. I stay home so that they can be alone, I think it’s better if they go away and leave me behind and act all lovey dovey, instead of yelling at each other or getting a divorce.” He said, smiling meekly.

“Oh, yeah, it’s good that they’re still like that. It means they still love each other.” I said smiling.

“Exactly, so I was wondering if you’re going to be alone for your birthday and Christmas and I am too, then maybe we could do something together.” He said.

“Yeah, sure, I’d love to. Here I’ll give you my number. I said pulling out my phone and Ren did the same. We exchanged numbers, and then I grabbed my books. We headed out of the class room together and then went off in different directions for lunch. “Jal jinae.” I said looking back at him.

“Jal jinae.” He replied.

I walked off to lunch and saw Alex and Sarah on the hill. I walked up to them.

“Why are you so late?” Alex asked.

“I was making plans with someone for the holidays.” I said.

“That’s right school ends tomorrow.” Sarah said sitting up.

“So are we still going to the park on Saturday?” I asked, Alex and Sarah nodded, “Cool.”

I lay down next to them and had lunch. The rest of the day flew by and I went to teach my little kids class. When I arrived I apologised to the little ones as I had been sick. We continued and I taught them the dance to T-ara’s “Bo peep Bo peep.” They were so cute!

When I got home I opened the door. The room was empty. Where is everyone? The car is here. I thought as I walked up the stairs. I through my bag onto my bed and headed to Key’s room. When I opened the door I knocked lightly and peered inside. I opened the door fully when I saw Key holding up two outfits raising one above the other.

“What are you doing?” I asked. Key stopped looking at the clothes and turned to me.

“I told the others to pack now so that we can have an early Christmas with you! Isn’t that great?” Key said beaming.

“Wait, what?” I asked.

“I said...” Key began.

“I know what you said. But you don’t have to do that you know Umma.”

“But we want to.” Key pouted.

“Are you sure?” I asked.

“Yes! Oh and when we come back from Japan do you want me to bring you back something?” he asked.

“You don’t have to.” I said.

“But I want to. How about a Kimono?” he asked.

“Really? I’ve heard about those, yes please.” I said smiling.

“Of course.” He said putting the outfits into one hand and patting my head with the other.

“Yay!” I said.

“Now can you help me choose?” he said as he held up the outfits against himself. “This one or this one,” he said switching them back and forth.

“That one,” I said pointing to the outfit in his right hand.”It suits you more.”

“Thanks” he said as he turned around.

Time seemed to fly and we had dinner and went to bed. The next day went by really quickly too. I went to the studio and me and my student, Jason, talked about what songs he wanted to learn next. I sat across from him on the stools and we started to practice his English pronunciations. When I got home I helped the others pack some more. After dinner I went to bed. Only a few more days until they leave I thought as I drifted off into the clouds.
