A Sick Game Called 'Love'

AN: My beloved freeloader children, I would like to inform you in advance that I ship BoA with herself…that is the whole point of Ana’s character. I’m warning y’all. If you question why I ship this then just go watch “The Shadow” and tell me that you don’t ship it because then I’ll call you a liar. But I mean seriously she was watching herself dance with such intensity that I’m like why are you so gay for yourself. Enough of my BoABoA rant and onwards to depression.

Oh oh and you wanna know something funny? Too bad. Well when I first started writing this, Tiffany wasn’t a spy and there weren’t any bad guys above Eros and that is because I didn’t ship 2BoA or Luntoria at the time so you have them to thank for bamf spy Tiffany.

I was annoyed with how slow this story is going so like I’m moving things forward super quickly.

I just realized that I have to speed things up into hyper drive in order for the storyline to continue the way I want it to…

First Date

Gyuri sat despondently at her desk, going over all of the files that existed about Choi Siwon and Kim Sunghee. She tried her best to avoid the younger woman, she had re-dyed her hair back to its natural brown shade in the hopes of being unrecognizable.

She had to fight her body’s natural response to seek out the waitress, not wanting to deal with her actions. So she sat in her chair and pretended to be interested in the information she’s gone over thousands of times. She was alone at the office since everyone was on high alert for a possible attack from Eros.

A knock on her office door interrupted her descent into nothingness. In the doorway stood a nervous looking teenager. “H-hi Captain Park. My name is Dani Kim, I’m here for the job shadow position.”

Gyuri had forgotten about that. The Mayor had suggested she get a shadow to keep her sane, who was she to deny the Mayor?

“Well Dani, it’s time for my lunch break. I’m meeting my sister for lunch, you’re more than welcome to join us.” Gyuri needed the break, maybe BoA was right.

“Thank you Captain.” Gyuri brushed past her shadow and the young girl followed after her.

“Sergeant Kwon? What are you doing here?” Said woman was staring at her computer screen with a horrified expression on her face.

“Captain, Im Yoona has a sister and you’re not gonna believe who it is.” Yuri never turned her attention away from the picture on the screen.

Curiosity filled the young Captain, willing her towards the Sergeant. Her face reflected Yuri’s when she saw the name and picture on the screen. “That’s impossible.”

On the screen was an image of Kim Sunghee, daughter of Kim Baekhee father unknown.

“Dani follow me and Kwon go get your psych eval done.” Gyuri rushed out of the office, Dani hot on her heels. What she didn’t know was that Yuri had already told her girlfriend how to locate her sister.

At the diner, Choi Siwon sat in his usual booth, unaware of the chaos that was about to ensue. He saw the Im heiress step out of a black town car and check her phone one last time before entering the diner.

Hushed whispers followed the heiress around the room as she sought out the waitress from the image on her phone. Her eyes traveled the room only to land on a harsh glare being aimed at her. Next to that glare stood a confused looking Sunghee, the heiress’ eyes lit up upon finding their target.

A smile cracked its way through her features as tears brimmed in her eyes. She took hesitant steps towards the two, stopping a few feet away from the waitress. “Kim Sunghee?”

“Yes, can I help you Miss Im?” Sunghee looked at the younger woman, bewilderment etched onto her features. She hadn’t even registered that the younger woman had latched her arms around her neck and brought her in for a tight hug.

“I always wanted a big sister.” Yoona said through her tears, Sunghee still hadn’t returned the hug but that didn’t bother her.

“What are you talking about?” Siwon rose from his seat and tried to separate them. Yoona wouldn’t let go of her sister that she never knew about.

This time, Siwon used much more force and was able to remove the heiress from his fiancée. He held her shoulders with ferocity. “I said, what are you talking about?!” He spat in her face.

Yoona knew she shouldn’t have gone anywhere without Luna or Yuri but she couldn’t help it.

“Get your hands off of her Choi!” Gyuri shouted, out of breath from sprinting to the diner. She made sure to avoid eye contact with Sunghee, a feat that took more effort than she thought.

Siwon’s hands slunk from their fierce grip on the heiress’ shoulders, the rage never ceasing. “Answer me!”

The Captain stood protectively in front of Yoona, her hands at her side in case she needed her firearm. “Miss Im and Miss Kim are sisters Choi.”

Dani watched the scene unfold without the slightest hint of what was happening. It was like watching a soap opera.

Siwon’s fist made contact with Gyuri’s cheek at lightning speed, catching her off guard. She went crashing onto the table next to her with a force that caused her to slide on top of it.

He yanked on her leg to pull her closer so he could land a blow at her exposed spine. He pulled his fist back aiming for her lumbar when two hands gripped his biceps, pulling the arm down. He shrugged the hands away and in doing so, hit his fiancé in the chest with his lowered elbow.

He released his grasp on Gyuri’s leg and sought to comfort his fiancée but was met with a fierce glare. “Leave. Now.”

He gulped and did as he was told, regretting his actions. Gyuri had seen what he did through her hair, her instincts to protect the younger woman kicked into hyper drive. The pain in her cheek subsided, momentarily, so that she could attend to Sunghee.

Yoona had already begun to look over her sister while Gyuri recovered from the blow to her face. Sunghee deflected Yoona’s hands, still in shock over the news that the young woman had come bearing.

“I’m fine, I just…I should just go home.” Sunghee said while sitting up, the blow had knocked her on the floor. All of the patrons were staring in their direction and she just wanted to leave, to escape.

A hand on her arm stopped her, she knew who’s hand it was without even looking because of the tingling sensation that she tried so hard to ignore.

“I’m not letting you go there. You’re staying with me until I can find you qualified protection.” Gyuri apathetically stated before avoiding eye contact and looking over to Dani. “You’re coming too.”

The teenager nodded, this was the weirdest soap opera she had ever seen.

Once they were left alone in their hotel room, Jessica demanded Tiffany sit in the chair while she searched her bag for the pair of handcuffs that she never leaves home without. Tiffany already had her hands wrapped around the back of the chair, waiting for the older woman to cuff her.

“Do I at least get a phone call?” Tiffany asked with a somber tone, she knew she shouldn’t have said anything further. Now look what happened, she has no idea if Jessica will ever forgive her.

“Fine.” Jessica spat while still looking through her bag, she swears she had put them in the spot she always put them but they weren’t there.

Tiffany pulled her phone out of her pocket and searched her contacts for Minho. After a few rings he answered. “I’m at the office what is it?”

“Can you send me my file? The classified one?” Tiffany asked while internally smirking, she hid Jessica’s handcuffs from her in order to stall her.

Yes, but why do you need it?”

“Personal reasons, just send it okay?” Tiffany pleaded, a pout forming on her lips even though she knew he couldn’t see it.

Fine, sending it now.”

Tiffany ended the call without saying anything. Slowly on her phone every mission she’s ever been on and all of the information the people she worked for had on her, uploaded. Now that she had nothing to do, she tossed the phone onto the bed that was a few feet in front of her. “Check the front left pocket.”

Jessica huffed in what was assumed to be frustration and did as instructed, sure enough, there were her handcuffs. She tilted her head out of Tiffany’s sight and stepped behind her to handcuff her to the chair.

“On that phone is every piece of information about me in existence.” Tiffany had to fight the urge to remove the handcuffs and read what the file says as well. She’s never read it, she wants to know what her agency thinks of her. Maybe after Jessica falls asleep.

Jessica lethargically grabbed the phone and sat against the headboard of the bed so she could read and watch Tiffany out of the corner of her eye. Before she began, she set the phone on her lap and looked over at the younger woman who sat with her legs crossed over her knee who was bored out of her mind.

“Why am I reading this?”

Tiffany looked at the eldest Jung, deciding that being trapped in this chair with no entertainment was boring. Her hands began working on the chaining devices while answering. “So you know that I’m not lying.”

Jessica sighed and brought the phone back up to her face to begin reading.

Stephanie Miyoung Hwang.

Date of Birth: 1 August 1989

Years of Active Service: 18

Handler: Song Minho, formerly Henry Jung.

Mental Stability: Questionable

“What? I am not unstable.” Jessica screeched as though it were a mating call to the dolphins.

“How the hell did you get out of those handcuffs?!” Jessica was close to hyperventilating, she hadn’t even noticed that the younger woman was right next to her.

“I learned how to do that when I was like seven.” Tiffany scooted closer to Jessica. “Hurry up I wanna read more.”

“You’ve never read this?” Jessica received a shake of the head for an answer. Still not comfortable with the proximity of the two she continued reading.

Current Assignment: Eliminate Song Meng Li and obliterate the Song Crime Syndicate

Mission Leader: Song Minho, formerly Henry Jung

Also on Mission: Im Jinah, formerly Kwon Ana, Julia Jung, Henry Jung

Current Physical Condition: Deteriorating, replacement suggested.

Tiffany kept quiet, she knew that she wasn’t at her best; at least the agency was being objective. Jessica just stared in shock; Tiffany was like a ninja, how could her health be deteriorating?

The file then began to describe Tiffany’s  first missions when she accompanied Henry Jung, starting from age eight. Most of the missions just drawled on and on but once Jessica got to age eighteen, everything became more intense.

It was expected since that was when Tiffany was assigned to her current mission. But so far nothing listed anything about her being assigned to protect the eldest Jung. A head rested on her shoulder and that was when she realized the agent had fallen asleep. She allowed the head to rest on her shoulder rather than be a jerk and shove her off.

She continued to read even after she felt a warm arm wrap around her waist. At this point she had gotten to Tiffany’s first encounter with Kwon Ana, the location was familiar to her. She remembered following after several members of a drug ring as a patrol cop. She remembered hearing someone call for assistance but she had deemed the felons more pertinent.

Kwon Ana, how do I begin to describe that thing? She’s not even human. Does she feel anything? She just smiled as she mercilessly pounded into my flesh, I’m just happy that Officer Jung hadn’t turned around. But seriously, how is Agent Kwon the sister of the Mayor of this place. Sure, they look the same, but the Mayor seems to have actual feelings and cares about people. Kwon, Kwon is a monster. What happened to her? What did she do to Julia?

Jessica’s eyes bulged in disbelief, Kwon Ana is Mayor Kwon’s identical twin? Does the Mayor even know she has a sibling?

All these thoughts flooded into Jessica’s mind, she had had enough of reading the file and set the phone on the nightstand before turning the light off.

She stared down at the mass of dark brown that rested against her chest. It was in moments like this where she could look past the deception and manipulation, it was when she could remember why she had fallen for the agent from the moment she laid her eyes on her. Jessica wrapped her arms protectively around the agent before drifting off to sleep.

**

Hyoyeon had opened the hotel room door for Seohyun before running down the hallway to make a private phone call that the taller woman suspected was about their date.

The Kim had dialed the number for the office, knowing that they had to have a town car and a driver since JeA had pretty much made it the law of the company. It rang four times before a familiar voice answered in English. “Hello?”

“Hello.” Hyoyeon responded in her native tongue, hoping that the person on the other line understood her.

Ah, Miss Kim! What can I do for you?” It was the researcher that had been recording her data.

“Wait, so you’re a researcher and the town car driver?” Hyoyeon had become absorbed in the anomaly and forgot the reason she called.

Yes ma’am, it’s not like you’re here that often so I spend most of my time researching. But that’s not why you called.” At least someone was able to focus.

“Oh yeah, right. Um, well, I’m taking Seohyun on a date and I need a driver.” Hyoyeon was still mad at Jessica for refusing to leave Tiffany alone in the hotel room. “And an idea.”

Picnic at the beach?” He chuckled on the other side of the line.

Hyoyeon’s eyes went wide. “Oh my god how did you come up with that on the first try? It’s perfect!”

He mentally applauded himself for his excellent suggestion. “I’ll just go get picnic stuff from the store, I’ll be there in an hour or so.”

“Thank you so much!” He hung up, probably rushing to get the things they need for her date with Seohyun.

Hyoyeon slid the keycard into the reader waiting for the light to turn green before opening the door. A smile formed on her lips as she saw Seohyun hunched over her suitcase with a pout on her face. “Wear white.”

Seohyun yelped in surprise before an indignant look formed on her face. “You’d like that wouldn’t you.”

Hyoyeon raised her hands in mock innocence, “I have no idea what you’re talking about. Just bring an extra set of clothes just in case.”

The shorter of the two dug out the outfit she had prepared for this occasion before running off into the bathroom to shower off all of the dirt and sweat from the day’s work.

While Hyoyeon was in the shower, Seohyun rifled through her suitcase trying to find something suitable to wear. Had she known she was going to be going on a date with her boss she would have packed suitable clothing. After several moments of debating with herself, she begrudgingly put on a white button up shirt and a pair of dark jeans.

Heeding Hyoyeon’s warning, she packed an extra set of comfortable clothes for whatever “just in case” turns out to be. Now all she could do was wait for the shorter woman to get out of the shower.

“When are you gonna give it up Hyunnie?” The mini-devil Hyoyeon appeared on her shoulder suddenly and had she not been sitting on the bed she would have face planted onto the floor.

“Don’t answer that.” The mini-angel shot a glare over at the mini-devil who just shrugged it off.

“I’ve decided that I’m going to wait. Besides, hotel beds are unsanitary.” The two little mini-Hyoyeon’s hopped off of her shoulder and took seats on her lap, Seohyun thought they were the cutest things in the world and had to hold herself back from pinching their tiny cheeks.

“Boring.”

“Good for you.”

Those were the responses she received. Then she realized that they were miniature versions of Hyoyeon and not herself, normally in movies or TV shows they were always miniatures of the person.

“Are you my conscious or Hyo’s?” Seohyun asked the tiny Hyoyeons as a means to pass time.

“We’re everyone’s id and superego, we just take the forms that every individual wants whether it’s a love interest or an authority figure. You can change who we are whenever you want.” The superego explained while the id was still upset about Seohyun’s remaining chastity.

“I like you two, you’re cute.” The id and superego looked up at her with bright smiles on their faces and this time she couldn’t help herself from pinching their cheeks.

“No! Gah this is your fault!” The id screeched at the superego from their elevated position.

“My fault! You smiled too! Gah Hyunnie put us down!” The superego cried out as its cheek was being deformed.

Seohyun giggled and set the two down, they both began to rub their cheeks from the pain they previously felt.

“Crazy woman,” The id mumbled looking up at Seohyun with disdain, “Peace, I’m out.”

The id poofed away leaving the superego alone with its tormentor. The poor little angelic Hyoyeon stared up in fear before silently poofing away, knowing that the actual Hyoyeon was about to leave the bathroom.

Thankfully, Hyoyeon had the decency to not walk out in just a towel. She had already dressed in the bathroom and smirked when she saw that Seohyun was indeed wearing white. Devious plans had started to formulate in her mind.

“Stop looking at me like that. I am not food.” Seohyun crossed her arms protectively over her chest, wary of the predatory gaze of her boss.

“Are you sure?” Hyoyeon was at the foot of the bed and started crawling towards the cringing woman.

“I’m not ready.” That was all Hyoyeon needed to hear to plop down next to Seohyun as if nothing had just happened. “You’re not mad?”

Hyoyeon smiled up at the younger woman. “Of course not. I’d never force you to do something you’re not ready to do.”

Seohyun’s eyes began to water, she leaned down and pecked Hyoyeon on the nose. Hyoyeon was about to return the favor but her cell phone began ringing.

She groaned as she answered the phone. “Yes?”

“I’m here early. Are you two ready?”

Seohyun had heard the man on the other line, nodding at Hyoyeon that she was ready. The two grabbed their bags that contained that extra set of just in case clothing.

“We’ll be down in a minute.”

The line went dead and the man sat patiently in the town car, waiting for the youngest Kim and her girlfriend to arrive. Henry Lau knew he couldn’t go through with what Siwon had asked of him, Hyoyeon wasn’t like what Siwon had described to him. She wasn’t a greedy, power hungry like the older man said she was. She was kind and caring, the complete opposite of the description.

He was interrupted from his thoughts by Hyoyeon opening the door for Seohyun to step inside before following after her and closing the door. He saluted her through the rear view mirror and began the short drive to Venice Beach.

Silence engulfed the car as he made his decision to take them to the beach instead of a secluded location in which he was to end her life. It was night and the beach was devoid of human life, a perfect place for a date. He parked the car and assisted the two women out of the car before opening the trunk to retrieve the small basket of food and the blanket he had acquired for the date.

He handed the items to Hyoyeon and whispered a ‘Good luck’ in her ear before getting back into the car and driving off to give them some privacy.

Hyoyeon entwined her fingers with Seohyun as they walked onto the sandy beach. Seohyun was told to close her eyes as Hyoyeon set up the blanket and basket. Once done, the shorter woman removed the hands that Seohyun had been using to cover her eyes.

Shock registered onto Seohyun’s features as she looked down at the display in front of her, she sat down on the blanket in astonishment while Hyoyeon joined her with a proud grin.

“So unsanitary.” Seohyun mumbled to herself as she deduced that they were having a picnic at the beach, a dirty beach.

“What?” Hyoyeon gave her a confused look, she had no idea what the taller woman had said.

Seohyun looked up at Hyoyeon and flashed a smile before saying a simple, “Nothing!”

The taller woman did her best to fight the urge to recite all of the health issues that could arise from the two of them consuming food on a beach that was less than sanitary. The gesture was sweet but why is there no hand sanitizer in this basket she was going to contract swine flu and die before her stupid wedding.

“I’m going to miss not having to pretend to hate you.” Hyoyeon said as she looked out to the sea, taking a bite of whatever food that Henry had bought for them.

“Me too.” Seohyun said as she looked over at her boss slash secret girlfriend, the moonlight was illuminating her blonde hair perfectly and she was lost in the radiant being next to her.

Those soft eyes looked over at her and a hand waved in front of her face, snapping her out of her daze. “How’s Changhyun?”

Seohyun smiled sadly, she hadn’t been able to see her father and brother that often since she moved in with Yonghwa. She missed them a lot. “I haven’t seen him since I moved in with Yonghwa.”

Hyoyeon pursed her lips in concentration before coming to a realization. “I can relay a message for you? Our dads are business partners after all.”

Seohyun nodded as she continued to begrudgingly eat the food inside of the basket, thinking happy thoughts rather than about the numerous diseases that could be lying around on this beach. Hyoyeon abruptly stood up from her seated position and stood with her legs on both sides of Seohyun’s.

“Don’t make an injured woman carry you into the water.” Hyoyeon with an innocently devious smile. Seohyun glared up at her but realized it would be better if she just went along with it.

“I want to make good use of you wearing white.” Hyoyeon said with a sly grin as she dragged Seohyun into the freezing cold water far enough out that they were chest deep.

Rather than die of hypothermia, Seohyun dunked her head under the water and flung her hair, making sure to whip Hyoyeon in the face in retaliation for dragging her into the water. Beads of water trailed down Seohyun’s face and the shorter woman cupped her face, wiping some of the droplets away.

“You’re so beautiful.” Hyoyeon whispered before closing the distance between their lips. It was a kiss unlike any of the ones they’ve shared before. This kiss conveyed the love that they felt for each other, and also the heartache that has followed them throughout their relationship.

It was a moment the two of them never wanted to end, but sadly it had to. Because Seohyun was still marrying Yonghwa and Hyoyeon still had no idea how she was going to stop it.
