Emotions Are Stupid

A Sick Game Called 'Love'

AN: I updated the bios again…6 new characters. Don’t worry though my children, they won’t impact your storyline greatly. They’ve kind of already been established and they’ll appear every so often. I just felt the need to complete the softball team and I just couldn’t help myself with Miryo and Kahi’s characters. Like that is my dream duo is for Miryo and Kahi to do a collaboration. One of my many dreams…like a Gayoon/JeA/BoA/Jungah collab…just gonna go back into my hole and never return. KARA6 would be the best tho...sob I miss Sunghee.

Also by popular demand, Tiffany grows a pair and you’ll hate me for it!

Also I lied about this chapter containing HyoHyun’s first date…I swear it will be next chapter, I just wanted to finish this and get it to y’all as soon as I could. Also known as I have no idea what to write but I will find a way.

Emotions Are Stupid

Jessica had forced Tiffany to stand in the corner of the room where she could watch her. Her mind had been going through her entire childhood to look for signs that her parents weren’t her real parents, then; her mind had begun to play the night they were killed on repeat. She had never paid particular attention to what the men in suits had called her father.

She had never paid attention to the fact that they referred to her father as ‘Kwon’, not ‘Jung’. After years of remembering details of that night, she had never once found it strange that the killers used a different name.

A thought crossed her mind as she looked over at the agent who had sunk to the floor with her head in her hands. Where is my mother?

“Hwang? You mentioned my father but never my mother. Where is she? Where is my father?” Tiffany hadn’t moved, she had broken every rule that could be broken. She had defied her orders all because of love.

She couldn’t look up at the woman she loved, she couldn’t answer the questions for both of their safety. But because she was so polluted by emotion she couldn’t deny the request. She balled her hands into fists and hit the wall to her right.

Her head was still hung low so that her features were unseen by Jessica. “Your mother disappeared fifteen years ago, no one knows what happened to her, no one except for Kwon Ana. She has been pronounced as killed in action, but only Kwon knows for sure. Henry he-I wish I knew where he is. No one knows.”

Jessica stayed a safe distance away from Tiffany, not sure what was wrong with the agent. “Who is Kwon Ana?”

Tiffany sighed and stood up, using the wall to help her up. She took hesitant steps towards Jessica who had stood her ground but took on a slightly defensive stance. Tiffany was a few feet away when she spoke. “The one who’s tried to kill you twenty-seven times.”

Jessica took a step back before asking another question. “Why would she do that?”

Tiffany matched the step, leaving the same amount of distance as before. “Because you lived with her parents and she thinks you know where Henry is.”

“Well since you’ve ‘hung out’ with her so much why don’t you just tell her I don’t know ?” Jessica had become irritated again.

“I would have if I wasn’t busy trying not to die so I could make sure you didn’t die.” Tiffany shot back, taking a step closer.

“Wait, why would you ask a member of Eros where she is?” Jessica held up her hand, trying to stop Tiffany’s advancing.

“That is none of your concern.” Tiffany said with a hint of malice.

“I want you to tell me.” Jessica commanded.

“No.” Tiffany shot back, stepping closer while Jessica stepped back. The older woman was now only a foot away from a wall.

“Why not?” Jessica demanded, unaware that she was so close to the wall.

“It’s better if you didn’t know. For your protection.” Tiffany fidgeted with her hands at her sides, the urge to push Jessica up against the wall and taking her was becoming too intense.

“Do you know anything?” Jessica retorted. Before she knew it, she was being pressed up against a wall she had no idea was there and she felt cool metal against . She assumed it was a knife that Tiffany had pulled out of who knows where.

The agent was in Jessica’s face and she could see the small hint of fear in the older woman’s eyes. “I know how to kill you.”

“Then why don’t you?” Jessica daringly asked, not sure whether or not the agent would go through with it.

The cool blade was removed from and returned to the crevice from which it came. It allowed Jessica the opportunity to notice that their bodies were pressed against each other completely. “Because I love you.”

Tiffany leaned in to attack the older woman’s lips but was thrown off of her body, the shock causing her to fall to the floor and rather than move, she just sat there and stared up at the eldest Jung.

“What kind of sick game are you playing?!” Jessica shouted in anger, “How do you expect me to trust you? All you’ve done is lie! How can I know if I can trust you? You could be the one trying to kill me and you’re just manipulating me into lowering my guard!”

Tiffany pondered over it, amazed she had never thought of that before. “Although that is a very thought out plan, I have no reason to want you dead.”

Instead of protesting, Jessica attempted to open the door, but it was locked from the outside. She huffed in frustration and gasped when she was pressed up against the door. She fought back but the body behind her was relentless. “There was something else your father assigned me to do.”

She waited to see if Jessica would ask her about it before she continued, there was no response only more fidgeting. “He said that I’m supposed to make you happy.”

Jessica gave up fighting back, she was so confused and disoriented from everything she had been told. “Why me? Couldn’t he have forced you on Krystal?”

“She hadn’t been born yet when I was given these orders.” Tiffany rested her head on the older woman’s shoulder, fighting back the tears that had been threatening to escape. She held onto the older woman’s waist tighter as sobs began to wrack her body. “Jessi, you’re my only reason for living.”

Jessica had no idea what to do with the information she was currently processing. She had no idea when the door had flung open causing her to fall on top of Tiffany, wait. How did Tiffany get in front of her in a fraction of a second? Oh yeah, she’s a ninja. But why take the fall for me? Jessica kept her internal monologue rolling while she could hear voices in the background.

“Hyoyeon is going to be finished with the testing soon and then we’ll be going back to get ready for a date.” Seohyun said to the two “lovers” on the floor, too lost in her own world to really notice that they didn’t appear to be quite as happy about the situation as she thought.

The younger woman floated away back down the hallway while Jessica still tried to understand what was happening. It wasn’t working out as well as she planned.

When all of the information sank in, she flew off of Tiffany and took cautionary steps away from the agent who merely sighed and blinked away at the tears in her eyes. She continued to fight back the urge to weep as Jessica walked away from her.

**

Luna fidgeted in the back of the car as she looked over at her girlfriend’s expression when the Mayor’s Estate came into view. It was a rather large house and she didn’t want the older woman to be overwhelmed.

Tao pulled the car up to the circular driveway in front of the house, putting it in park before exiting the car and opening the door for Victoria to exit. He knew full well that Luna would want to open her own door, which she did.

The man closed the door behind Victoria and reentered the car to park it in the garage, leaving the two of them alone. Luna stood by the taller woman’s side and held out her arm for her to take.

“I’m warning you now, dinner is going to take some time to be prepared so that my mom can interrogate you. She is going to ask you when I plan on proposing and when she should expect grandchildren.” Victoria stopped dead in her tracks staring down at Luna with completely red cheeks. “Your answer will be, ‘We haven’t discussed that yet’. If the argument that will ensue becomes too much to handle then kick me under the table and I will save you.”

Luna had to drag the older woman up the stairs and to the front door that was opened by the female version of Tao. Victoria was starting to get freaked out by the vampire-like staff, Luna took this as apprehension and stopped the two inside the door. She faced the taller woman and took both hands in hers.

“Baby, everything will be fine. You’ll do great and I’m sure my mom will love you.” Luna placed comforting kisses on the hands in her grasp. Jia watched from the corner, waiting for Tao to arrive from the garage. Victoria took a deep breath and followed Luna into the dining room.

“Do you think we should tell the boss that his daughter is dating his plaything?” Jia queried as her brother appeared from the shadows.

“No. I like working here.” Tao answered simply.

“No you like the chef.” Jia corrected.

Inside the dining room, BoA sat at the head of the small table that could seat six. They saved their grand dinners for the dining hall. The Mayor gestured for Victoria to take the seat opposite of her while Luna sat to the left of her girlfriend.

Everything was awkwardly quiet as they waited for dinner to be served. BoA had been casting suspicious glances between her daughter and Victoria, trying to figure out what was happening and why the two looked like they were staring at a ghost.

“So Victoria, I hear that you and my daughter are getting very serious.” Victoria was thankful that she was too terrified to drink any liquids because she would have lost it all at that remark.

“I-well we uh only just started dating a week ago.” BoA cast her analytical gaze over the taller woman. Luna just looked back and forth between the two, trying to find the right time to interject.

“Well it seems serious to me, Sunyoung hasn’t agreed to let me have dinner with her girlfriends before. Why is that baby?” BoA turned the focus onto Luna who nervously looked between the amused gaze of her mother and the questioning gaze of her girlfriend.

The youngest at the table swallowed the lump in , knowing that what she was about to say could make or break her relationship. “I-I didn’t think that you’d like any of the other ones, I certainly didn’t.”

Victoria scowled slightly at Luna and kicked her shin, earning her a hurt gaze and a small pout. Luna knew that Victoria only meant that she was mad at her and not that she wanted to be rescued.

“Now that I know that my daughter is serious for once, when are you two getting engaged?” BoA asked as if she was asking about the weather.

“We haven’t talked about that yet.” Victoria said as rehearsed and cast a sideways glance at Luna who nodded.

“That puts grandchildren off of the table then, so when do you plan on telling your parents about the two of you?” BoA struck a nerve that Victoria had tried to suppress for almost ten years.

She couldn’t help herself when the truth spilled out of her lips. “My brother and I were supposed to come out together when we were fifteen. He was always trying to protect me so he went behind my back and told our father that he was gay. I haven’t seen him since that day.”

Mother and daughter stared at the taller woman, stunned into silence. Victoria had no idea what compelled her to admit to something she’s tried so hard all of her life to deny. Luna’s hand found hers under the table.

Shaking herself out of her thoughts, BoA smiled warmly at Victoria. “No matter what happens you’re always welcome here.”

Tears pricked at her eyes and she was thankful for the interruption of dinner being served. A man came out of the kitchen after the food had been delivered by Jia, she assumed it was the chef.

“Tonight I just threw things into a pan and somehow vegetable tempura and chicken katsu came out.” The man anxiously awaited to witness the reaction of his favorite employer of all time.

BoA took the first bite and her eyes closed from the sensations coursing through her taste buds. “Geez Wu Yifan you never fail to impress, I am so happy to have stolen you from the chief of police. Remind me to give you a raise.”

The other two started to eat as well and had similar reactions that made the chef’s heart swell at how his work was appreciated. He was also excited about his raise, more Gucci for him.

He disappeared to let the three finish their meal while holding a light conversation, Luna was happy that her mother was so accepting of Victoria. She had expected the Spanish Inquisition and instead got rainbow unicorns.

After dinner the three were stuffed and were thankful that Kris hadn’t prepared desert. BoA was the first to rise from her chair, she took languid steps to stand behind her daughter’s chair. Leaning down she whispered in her ear, “I’m letting the two of you stay in the same room, no funny business or there will be consequences, understand?”

Luna’s eyes went wide and she nodded fervently. The Mayor patted Victoria on the head before leaving the dining room. The youngest stood and held out her hand for Victoria to take.

The short woman led the two up the spiraling staircase and down a long corridor before settling in front of a door. Luna took a deep breath before opening the door and ushering the older woman inside, closing the door behind them.

“You’re sleeping here tonight, it’s too late for you to go back home and I wouldn’t let you leave anyways. It’s not safe.”

“Can you keep your hands to yourself?” Victoria gave the shorter woman a skeptical look as the Detective jumped onto her queen sized bed.

“Ma’am yes ma’am. Besides, I’d get castrated by my mom.” Luna faux-saluted from her lying position.

Victoria climbed onto the bed next to Luna and the distance between the two was uncomfortable. Her body ached for the younger woman’s touch, so she settled on wrapping her arms around the Detective’s waist.

Luna turned in Victoria’s arms so that they were facing each other and buried her face in the crook of the waitress’s neck. “I won’t let your father hurt you.”

Victoria shuddered from the memories of seeing her brother bloody and bruised run out of their house and never come back. “I think you’d lose in that fight, he’s ex-special forces.”

Luna frowned against the silky soft skin of her girlfriend’s neck. “I don’t care, I won’t let anyone lay a finger on you.”

Victoria held onto the younger woman tighter as sobs wracked her body. She allowed Luna’s soft caresses on her hip lull her to sleep.

AN: Well well well freeloaders, we meet again. I entertain myself by calling you all freeloaders. Next chapter will be HyoHyun and JeTi focused and possibly a side-dish of SungRi(mostly Gyuri sulking about being a fail).

Did I break all of you with JeTi? Just a hint, they aren't getting together for a very long time muahahahahahahahahahahahahaha.

Nice ending! This is very beautiful. You did one great of a job, Author. With the weddings and babies on the way, it was very peaceful. JeTi are together with Tiff's parents probably. Gyul and Sunghee sure have it nice. BoA and Anna too. LunToria as well. Very beautiful! But... who is Siwon with now? I was like, "Mwo?!" when I read the last line. Nevertheless, this was still beautiful. Thank you for the story. ^-^v
