vi.
Smile, YiXing!"Hey," Luhan grinned at IU as he approached the girl, who hid in the farther shelves of the school library.
"Hello," she smiled back, at the innocent-looking boy who sat on the floor, across her. It was weird for her to see him at breaks, even weirder now that he's here and talking with her in the library.
"I don't see your bodyguard today," he teased. It's been a week since the incident happened, and not only Luhan, but his other two friends new, or rather the whole student body noticed that Tao became overprotective of her. IU immediately gained an instant bodyguard.
"He's on break," she lightly joked. Tao has been nothing but the sweetest guy to her, always supporting her, or rather defending her from forces unknown. Though she was touched by his thoughtfulness, IU also felt annoyed about it, since she wasn't used to being followed around. So when lunch came that day, IU begged Tao to give her some quiet time, and in exchange, she'd call him swiflty if something happens. Seeing the pure desperation in her eyes, Tao coudn't help but let her get her way. Now she's in the library, having her quiet, and unexpectedly talking to Luhan. "How's Yixing by the way?"
"He's fine," he replied, but IU noticed the slight frowning of his lips after he answered. Urging not to ask, IU just gave him small smiled, and lowered down her gaze.
"How are you feeling?"
"I'm fine," she glanced back at the boy, grinning. "My bruises are almost healed." Days have already passed, and some of her bruises were yellowing, and her wounds have healed completely, waiting for the scabs to run dry. She felt scared about confessing to her dad, but rather than making a scene, she just lied about it.
"So what did your parents say?" He asked worriedly. She looked bad that day, and he remembered how him and his other three friends planned to take responsibility for what happened to her. Luhan knows that her parents would go ballistic about it.
"I lied about it."
"WHAT?! Why?" He asked.
"I didn't want to make scene, nor make the problem any bigger," she answered. "My dad as already a lot on his plate and if I'm going to tell about this, he'd worry more."
Luhan, bit back his tongue, studying the woman, as her eyes went back to her paperback. She was indeed something, he thought to himself. Usually girls would go crying to their parents, telling them about the bullies, but she was odd. She was .. very caring, he said, as he thought deep of that
