For the last week, the two spent time with each other, as much as possible. Within that week, they temporarily forgot about the approaching departure of Yixing, and instead enjoyed their first Christmas vacation together. They spent time with Kris and Tao, and once Yixing even came over Jieun’s house, and had a formal dinner with her father.

But even with them pretending, it still didn’t stop the days coming and ending, and finally it was the 19th of December, their second month anniversary. This happy event might not even be, for tomorrow, Jieun would be in the airport, biding her goodbyes to her three year love.

But the next day, Jieun didn’t actually expect how her morning started out so weird. After getting dressed, next thing she knew, she was carried like a rag doll, by Tao, and was crashed inside the taxi. Having to loosen one of her hands, she punched him on the chest. “YAH! WHAT THE HELL ARE YOU EVEN DOING?!”

Tao snickered, impassive about his friend’s mixed feelings of shock and anger. “Just calm down okay?”

“How can I freaking do that?! When you just dragged me out of our house like a sick kidnapper?!” She burst angrily, but Tao only laughed harder.

“I swear, you’re going to be happy as soon as we get out of this car,” he grinned brightly.

Jiuen crossed her arms and made a face. “I better be.”

The drive only took them fifteen minutes, and Jieun’s face became curious, arching her eyebrows as she stared at Yixing’s front yard and back to Tao’s face. “Why are we here? Did you and Yixing plan this?”

Tao made a zipper on his mouth and without warning he locked her knees on her arms, and held her back, carrying her like a princess. “YAH! Put me down Panda!” She protested, but Tao didn’t listened, instead he barged in inside the house, and stared at Kris and Yixing. Tao settled her down, but his hand lingered on her wrist and before she could even shoved him away, Jieun heard a click sound and the couple stared down at their hands which were handcuffed with each other.

“What the hell is this Tao?” Yixing asked, his scary calm expression on his face.

Tao flinched nervously, but nevertheless he answered his friend. “Because I wanted for you guys to spend the day together.”

“We could still do that even without this thing!” Jieun disputed.

“But.. but..” He frowned, and just in time, Kris stood between the three of them. “Don’t be like that,” he scolded Jieun calmly. “Tao just cared about the two of you, especially since you’re already leaving tomorrow,” he said, shifting his gaze to Yixing. “So can’t be just get along, and let Tao do his thing for the two of you?”

With the mix of Tao’s shameful look and Kris’ words the couple groaned in defeat, as they gave them a word of their agreement. “Okay then that settles it,” Kris smiled. “Now, I will lead the two of you, and have some fun,” he said.

“Wait, so this is it? This was your plan? To handcuffed us together and be locked inside his room?” Jieun asked wryly.

“No,” Tao mischievously smiled, before Kris shooed them away and led them upstairs to Yixing’s bedroom. Settling down at the edge of the bed, Yixing was the one who first spoke, hoping it’ll ease the tension Jieun was vibing off. “Sooo, I’ve never thought of starting my day like this,” he nervously chuckled.

Jieun sighed. “Me too,” she answered sarcastically. Then she felt her hand being held by Yixing, and unconsciously, she glanced at him, staring at his gentle smile.

“Don’t be pissed,” he smiled. “I’m actually quite happy for spending a whole day with you.”

She puffed her cheeks, controlling the warm fluttery fleeing in her stomach, but seeing how much Yixing was sincere about all of these, she left out a small smile, and mumbled, “Me too.”

“Come, let’s just enjoy this moment,” he said, as he scooted nearer to the center of the bed. With a smile, she followed, and in no time, their backs were leaning against the headboard, with their hands still intertwined.

“So… happy second month anniversary,” Jieun greeted meekly. “Sorry I only greeted you now.”

His thumb softly brushed hers, easing her feelings. “It’s okay. With all the commotion downstairs, I don’t think it would be proper to do so.” Without warning Yixing kissed her cheek. “Happy second month anniversary.”

Jieun flushed deep red, and Yixing could only laugh at the sight of her embarrassed. She clasped her fingers together, huffing as Jieun tried to calm herself down. Slightly composed, she said, “Can you pass me a pen and paper?”
