I went to Naeun’s classroom today to give her the notebooks. I finished all of her homeworks. Thanks to Hyerin who helped me last night. I wonder if Naeun will wear the clip today.I thought as I smiled.

Then, I saw her with Chorong.

“Annyeong Naeun!” I said cheerfully as I ran to her while clutching her notebooks at my chest.

She smiled a bit then turned to Chorong.

Chorong just smiled at me.

I looked at Naeun’s hair.She didn’t wear the clip. Sadness filled up my heart.

“Did you finish it all?” she asked as she flipped her hair.

“Uh…yes. Here.” I said as I gave her the notebooks.

She just smiled and walked off.

“Wait. Why aren’t you wearing the clip?” I asked her.

She turned to me and said: “I was treasuring it. So, I hid it inside my drawer since it was from you.” she said.

With that, my heart thumped in joy. I just nodded and bid goodbye to her. She treasures it that’s why she didn’t use it. Naeun is so kind. I thought as I walked to our class.

5 more minutes and the bell for lunch will ring.

I’m excited about it since Naeun asked me to sit with them during lunch.

But it’s awkward for me.

I mean, it was like, it’s the girl is the one who is asking the boy out.

Meh. Nevermind. She doesn’t know that I’m a guy.

RINGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGG~

The bell just rang.

I stood up and dashed out of the room and headed to the school cafeteria.

There are many students. I had a hard time spotting Naeun and her friends.

After a few minutes,

I spotted them sitting at a table from a distance.

I smiled as I walked towards them.

“Naeun, Annyeong!” I said as happily as I could.

“It’s Minah!” Eunji said as she pointed me.

Chorong just raised her left eyebrow at me.

Bomi smiled.

Namjoo stared at me for a moment before she said hi.

Naeun turned around with puffy cheeks and red eyes.

When she noticed that my smile fell upon seeing that she’s crying, she instantly wiped the tears coming from her eyes before she tried to smile.

She’s crying.

All my happiness vanished. It was like a part of me is being torn apart.

What do I do?

“Are you okay? What happened?” I asked worriedly as I put my hand on her shoulder.

“I….I lost my watch. I couldn’t find it anywhere. It was very important to me.” She said as she bit her lower lip.

I’ll find it. I have to find it.

“What does it look like? I’ll find it.” I said without hesitation.

“No. It’s okay. It was my fault.” She insisted with a sad face.

*Don’t frown. It doesn’t suit you. Please smile.*

“Where did you lost it?” I asked. I was determined to find it.

*I want Naeun to be smiling again. So I’ll find it for her.*

“I don’t remember. I walked almost around the whole school. And, I threw a few pieces of trash in the bin.” She said as she tried to remember where she lost it.

“How does it look like?” I asked.

“It’s color pink. The design…there are stars and there’s a diamond inside.” She described as she looked at me with sad eyes.

“Okay. I got it. I’ll try to find it.” I said as I walked away.

I have to find it.

It’s for Naeun.
