After that incident, I started to avoid and finally hate Naeun. She never cared. She was actually overjoyed that I avoided them. But I’m happy because Hyerin was by my side all the time.

Lunch time,

As I was walking and chatting with Hyerin at the cafeteria,

I saw a very familiar figure from afar.

I narrowed my eyes and saw someone I shouldn’t have seen. Park Jiyeon. She’s sitting at a table with Naeun and her friends. Why is she here? Why is she talking to Naeun? They know each other?

“Didn’t you hear me? I said Choi Minki was missing! He’s missing!” She exclaimed exaggeratedly as she was rubbing her palms together.

Naeun rolled her eyes in irritation. “Yes. I heard you.”

I twitched. Duh. It’s been a month already since I hid in here. How come she heard the news way too late?

“How the hell are you so damn calm?” She asked while puffing up her cheeks.

“I don’t like him.” Naeun answered.

I felt an arrow shot my heart. It still hurts when she is the one who says it.

I looked down and bit my lower lip.

“You like Minki too right?” Hyerin asked.

*She thinks I was affected by Minki’s disappearance.*

“Umm..yeah.” I answered shyly.

She giggled and smiled.

I just looked away.

I guess Jiyeon and Naeun are friends. Now that I think of it, they have similar personalities.

“Is it about Naeun again?” She whispered as she leaned forward to me.

I stared at her weirdly.

“Can you read minds?” I asked her.

“No. I was just randomly guessing.” She said with a smile.

There she goes again. Smiling brightly at me. I thought as I looked away.

“Why are you looking away?” She asked as her smile slowly faded.

I just shook my head and sighed.

“Do you hate me?” She asked with a pout. A cute pout.

“A-Ani.” I answered as I puffed up my cheeks.

I seriously don’t know what I should do with her.

“Then do you like me?” She asked with a smile.

My cheeks turned red. It’s not that I saw it. I felt it. I felt blood rushing up to my face.

“Are you blushing?” She asked as she chuckled and leaned closer to me.

“N-no!” I stuttered as I tried to cover my face.

“Aigoo. You’re so cute!” She said happily.

“We’re not friends okay? You shouldn’t do this.” I warned her as I stood up from my seat.

She turned sad and bit her lip. “Sorry.” She whispered.

I was just trying to be too close to her since I’m a guy. But I didn’t mean to hurt her.

“Hey…I was just..uh..” I tried to explain.

“Then let’s be friends!” She offered.

No. Girls are so much hassle. Every girl I know brings trouble to me. My mom, Jiyeon, Naeun and her gang but Hyerin still HASN’T done anything bad to me. But I’m sure she will. Sooner or later. So I have to avoid her.

“No.” I whispered as I walked away.
