Because I couldn't sleep last night, Now ,I’m in front of Naeun’s classroom. I carefully  thought about how I should befriend her. And it came to my mind last night that I’ll apologize, and then I’ll give her a gift. I thought happily while carefully touching the gift.

I spotted her with Chorong, Bomi, Eunji and Naeun walking on the hallway.

“Look who’s there.” Chorong whispered at Naeun teasingly as soon as she saw me.

Naeun just rolled her eyes and sighed.

Namjoo narrowed her eyes. “ Oh! It’s the pretty transferee.” Namjoo said with a smile.

Naeun turned to her. “She’s not pretty!” She argued.

“She is.” Euji, Bomi and Namjoo said.

“Just who’s friend are you huh?!” Naeun asked with a glare.

They didn’t answer.

I went to them and all of them eyed me.

“Naeun-ssi, can we talk?” I nervously asked her.

She looked at me and nodded lazily. I lead the way and then she followed.

“What is it?” She asked as checked on her nails. It looked like she doesn’t care about what I will say.

“About….yesterday, I’m so sorry for bumping you! It was an accident! I didn’t really mean it! I’m really sorry.” I said as I bowed numerous times and handed her my gift.

She just stared at me.

“Okay.” She answered as she sighed, took the gift and stared at it.

I smiled. She just accepted my apology. I feel so happy.

“Can I go now?” She asked coldly.

“Wait. Can we be friends?” I asked.

She examined me for a moment, then, she said “Yes”

After that, she walked away from me.

I jumped in joy.

Son Naeun and I are officially friends.

Just a moment ago, she was in front of me and was staring at me.

I just can’t stop being happy.

Before, I was just always staring at her from afar.

But now, I’ll be able to close the gap between us since we’re friends already. I thought as I watched her walk away.

“What happened?” Chorong asked as soon as Naeun came.

“She apologized and asked if we could be friends.” Naeun said with a smirk.

“What’s with that smirk? Are you trying to use her?” Eunji asked as she shook her head.

“I’m not. I’m going to be her best friend.” Naeun said innocently.

Chorong just smiled.

“What’s that?” Bomi asked poining to the gift Naeun was holding.

“Kindly dispose this. That girl gave me this. Let’s go now.” She said as she gave Namjoo the gift.

“Can I open it?” Namjoo asked.

“I don’t care.” Naeun answered without looking at her.

Namjoo opened the gift. It was a beautiful hair clip embedded with diamonds.

“It’s pretty. Do you really want to throw it?” Namjoo asked.

“Just throw it away!” Naeun exclaimed.

With that, Namjoo threw the gift on the trashcan.

I wonder if Naeun liked my gift. I wish she’ll wear it so that I can see if it suits her well. Ren thought happily as he walked towards their room.
