Looking at you I wonder if there'll ever be a time you see me the way I see you. It’s that delusion in my mind where I tell myself each time you lock eyes with me “Will she ever love me the way I love her?“ but then I quickly shut those thoughts down knowing deep in my mind the one you really look at is at her, the one and only Kim Jennie.

You could lock eyes with me and I just imagine the way you must lock eyes with Jennie, you feel the explosion of feelings I feel with you.

I’ve been broken so many times, but those never hurt because I always used those people as comfort, I’ve never found my perfect half, that is until I met you, Bae Joohyun.

There’s a pro and a con to living the way I do. The pro? I get to experience falling in love the way I never knew I would get to have a chance to. The con? I fell in love with someone who doesn’t feel the same, but that’s okay to me. I am okay.

But tell me one thing… Why is it that your smile shines brightly with Jennie, but your eyes sparkle when you look at me? Why is it that your cheeks flush with Jennie, but you stutter on-

Joohyun: Hey Seungwan, are you okay?

Seungwan is caught off guard as she is brought back to reality, she looks at Joohyun in shock and stutters in her words.

Seungwan: H-Huh? Oh- Uh- Yeah, I’m okay. I’m sorry, I was just lost in thought.

Seungwan nervously smiles at Joohyun, scratching the back of her neck as she looks in front of her. Joohyun on the other hand continues to look at Seungwan as she softly smiles.

Joohyun: I didn’t invite you out here to watch the sunset and have this picnic with me just to get lost in your thoughts, dummy. You get lost in your thoughts a lot, you know that? 

Seungwan chuckles nervously and nods.

Seungwan: Do I? I never realized.

Joohyun nods. 

Joohyun: You do, so what were you thinking about?

Seungwan clears . 

Seungwan: Uhhh, about nothing. Don’t worry about it.

Seungwan grabs a grape from a bowl and pops it into , looking away from Joohyun. Joohyun looks at her, raising an eyebrow.

Joohyun: Well, it must’ve been something because you were spaced out for quite a while.

Seungwan, trying to redirect the conversation, smiles and looks at Joohyun.

Seungwan: How would you know? Were you admiring me with love the whole time or something?

Seungwan closed her eyes as she chuckled as Joohyun was thrown off by Seungwan’s statement. 

Joohyun: I- Uh-

Seungwan, still chuckling, looks at Joohyun again, she sees Joohyun looking away from her, hiding her face in her hands as Seungwan realized Joohyun’s face is now flushed red just by looking at how red Joohyun’s ears are.

Seungwan pauses, now frozen, her heart stammering against her chest. She quiets down and clears , thinking of how to lighten up the mood. Seungwan then slightly pushes Joohyun with her hand, smiling slightly. 

Seungwan: I was joking, Joohyun. I know you wouldn’t look at me that way, so don’t get embarrassed. I’m sorry for bringing it up, let’s not ruin our friend date now.

Seungwan watches Joohyun still cover her face, Joohyun takes a deep breath, both not realizing how hard the other’s heart is beating a million times faster.

Joohyun: Um- The thing is… I was looking at you like that.

Joohyun says as she lifts her flushed face from her hands, both now staring at each other. Seungwan, now being the one caught off guard, freezes in place.

Seungwan: W-Wait… What?
