“Well, things were cleaned up nicely.” Changwook said as his sister walked withm, the girl nodded back.

“Is this your way of reminding me about the pile of papers I have to review back in my office?” Chaewon mused, the older male chuckled.

“Take it easy, I’ll handle the things you can’t for now.”

“But unnie needs you at home, oppa.” She replied as they waited for the elevator.

“It’s fine, Chaewon. You’re still healing, and with all the eyes on you right now, I don’t want to leave you alone to face everything.”

“You mean, our father being very voal about his feelings for Sehun? Should I have released the video then? That would shut him up forever.”

Changwook looked at her and shrugged.

“It’s always up to you, but Sehun~”

“I know, I just wish our father would shut up. I am actually busy with having to work for his family’s company.” She muttered darkly, Changwook chuckled and nudged her playfully.

“We still have that lunch with the Ohs this weekend. What’s going on?”

Chaewon paused, her brows rising.

“It’s just lunch, oppa. What are you talking about?”

Changwook gave her a shrug, but his eyes landed on the ring on her finger for a short moment.

“I bet eomma would be so happy.” He said to her as they got inside the machine, Chaewon turned to him.

“Why? It’s because your second child is a~”

“Well, that too.” Changwook chuckled and shushed her.

Sehun twirled the pen between his fingers as the discussion went on, with Christmas season coming up, things were about to get really busy for everybody.

“What do you think, vice president?”

Sehun looked up, his eyes went to the board briefly.

“It won’t be an easy move, it’s our first time doing this in a rush, however,” He sat up and leaned his elbows on the table.

“This plan with JG Group seems stable, I’m willing to give it a go.” He replied, he caught his father’s eyes and the elder grinned at him. Sehun leaned back on his seat and felt his phone vibrate.

I just got off work. No, I gave myself an early off. –Chaewon

He smiled to himself before typing in a reply, asking her where she was heading to.

Home, duh. Well, I can drop by your place and maybe I can cook something. Is that okay with you? –Chaewon

Sehun nodded to himself.

I’ll be home in an hour. Drive safely. Right. –Sehun

Sehun was teasing her, Changwook was furious when he realized that Chaewon had plans to drive herself around while recuperating from her wounds. So now, the girl had a driver to do that for her and, her brother confiscated her license.

You know, I might as well not marry you and keep you hanging. –Chaewon

Sehun chuckled before putting his phone back in coat pocket, he checked the time on his watch and focused on the meeting again. He was about to speak up, wanting to ask about another project when his phone buzzed again.

Scratch that. I should just get a Tesla. Love you. –Chaewon

Chaewon looked up when she heard the doors open, she hurriedly lowered the volume of her music before walking out of the kitchen.

“Well, you look tired.” She mused as Sehun was in the process of taking off his coat.

“I had meetings today. Eomma says hi.” Sehun gave her a tired smile before leaning to kiss the side of her head.

“I made red sauce spaghetti.” She said as Sehun followed her to the kitchen, he nodded and proceeded to lean against the counter.

“Did I tell you? Hyebin unnie’s having a girl this time.” She said cheerfully as she transferred the sauce to a bowl.

“Really? That’s great, Hwan’s been wanting to have a sister.” Sehun murmured as he folded the sleeves of his shirt to his elbows.

“How was your day?” She asked him, Sehun shrugged.

“It was a long one, we’re pushing with the JG Group project. Don’t we still have that finalization meeting?”

Chaewon paused, she blinked back at him.

“What?”

“Chaewon, our companies are supposed to be working together. The project, remember?” Sehun started to grow amused, the girl’s brows went up.

“We were supposed to meet with DK Architects last week for the blueprint approval, but, you just got back from Jeju.”

“We were…right, the random draw.” She blurted out, Sehun chuckled and he approached her.

“That was literal hell for you, huh? Having to work with me.” He spoke, Chaewon paused, a little stunned at his proximity.

“Well, I was angry at you, but it wasn’t hell. More of, torment.” She replied, being playful.

“Torment, hmm.” Sehun mused as he leaned both of his palms on the counter behind her, Chaewon blinked at him.

“It was difficult for you too. I was mean, huh?” She asked, Sehun scrunched his nose at her before leaning his chin on her shoulder, wanting her to hug him.

“Wow, it really was a long day.” She said as she wrapped her arms around his waist. Sehun nodded and closed his eyes briefly.

“But I’m happy you got me at the random draw.”

“I didn’t get you, I got your company.” She corrected him, Sehun snorted.

“Same thing.” He replied, Chaewon chuckled and she turned her head to kiss the side of his neck.

“Come on, I’ll finish this one and we can eat.”

Sehun made a face at her before he let go of her.

“You smell nice, I like how you smell.” He commented as he helped the girl get some plates and utensils.

“I’m just gonna let of go the fact that it sounded creepy. Thanks, Oh Sehun.”

He heartily laughed before setting the plates on the table.

“I got an email from your office, do you want me to come?” She called as she padded towards the dining table with the bowl of pasta sauce.

“Ah, the ball? Like, the biggest party my family throws every year? Do I want you there?” Sehun replied in a dry manner, she grinned.

“I mean, we…we haven’t really gone public yet, and you know what, I’m leaving that up to you.”

“Me?” Sehun blinked at her, she shrugged.

“I don’t really want to think about it, it does matter to me. But, I’m giving this one to you.”

Sehun smiled at her.

“I haven’t told my parents yet.” Sehun said, Chaewon grew confused.

“About us?”

“No, silly. The ring.” Sehun chuckled as he pulled the chair for her, Chaewon’s eyes went to her hand.

“Well, I’m leaving this one to~” She halted when Sehun suddenly pulled her to him, he wrapped his arms around her.

“You know,” He hummed as he tightened his hold around her.

“Leaving me in-charge with everything isn’t very safe.” His right hand went to her upper back, Chaewon shook her head at him.

“You’re awfully playful today.” She mused back, Sehun smiled and then his left palm dipped lower to her back.

“Oh Sehun.” Chaewon laughed and then she squealed when he gave her a small squeeze.

“Oh Sehun!”

Sehun was already running away from her while his laughs echoed around the living room.

“Eomma, it’s just a meal with family and friends.” Chaewon yawned as her mother sped past her, Hyebin was resting in her room.

“And, do we really have to do it on a Sunday? I’m sure oppa~”

“It’s totally fine with us, Hyebin’s really happy with hosting this lunch.” Changwook said as he walked in the dining room, Chaewon rolled her eyes at him.

“I just don’t understand what all the fuss is for. Eomma doesn’t have to tire herself.” She commented as their mother went back to the kitchen again.

“Well, we’re celebrating a lot of things, my second child, you being alive after attempting to~”

“I get it, I get it. Thanks.” She muttered as she padded away from him, Changwook chuckled.

“Chaewon-ah,” He spoke, the girl paused and turned to him. They both could hear Kai from the foyer, meaning, Sehun was already there.

“You’re not wearing it today.” He said softly, Chaewon grew confused.

“What do you mean?”

Changwook approached her, Hwan walked into the room with a big smile on his face. The boy immediately ran to his grandmother, wanting a bite of her brownies.

Changwook jutted his lips towards her hand, Chaewon’s eyes widened.

“Oppa, it’s not like that, we~”

“You don’t have to explain, I just want you to know that whatever you decide one, whatever you…want for yourself, I’ll always be here to support you.” Changwook told her, Chaewon looked away and smiled.

“Should I start crying? That was really sweet of you, oppa.”

“Stop it, our guests are here,” He mussed her hair before moving away, Chaewon smiled to herself and walked to the living room.

“Chaewon!” Kai greeted her, Sehun grinned at her.

“My parents are on the way, is your mom inside? I want to say hi.” Sehun stood up to greet her, she nodded back.

“Yes, she’s in the kitchen. Go on.” She said, Sehun kissed the side of her head before going towards the kitchen.

“Hi, so,” Kai spoke as the girl sat beside him.

“So?”

“Can I be the ring bearer? I’m sure Hwan will be fine with it.” Kai beamed at her, Chaewon sighed and shoved a pillow to his face.
