“So, you’re telling me that I wait for them, again?”

The two males looked at each other, not knowing what to answer.

“I gave them two weeks, and all you can say now is that they need more time? What are we doing here? Child’s play?” The young executive set the folder down.

“Vice president, we’ve been trying to~”

“You already told me that. Last week.” Her cold gaze went to them, the two could only look away, frightened.

“How about we reschedule the meeting, vice president?” Her secretary spoke, a little worried over the two team managers in the room with them.

“No.” Chaewon crossed her arms, she stood up and walked towards the windows. She exhaled and closed her eyes briefly.

“Cancel the deal with KJI.”

“But, vice~”

“Tell them we will pay the fees for the cancellation, have the contract nullified and sue them.”

“Yes?”

Chaewon faced them again.

“The contract has a time frame. It’s already way beyond that. Do I need to spell out everything for you?”

Her secretary flinched, he could sense it. His boss wasn’t in a pleasant mood today. She had been grim ever since this morning.

“Yes, we’ll get to it right away, ma’am.” The two males bowed before excusing themselves, CHaewon exhaled and went back to her seat.

“Do I have anything left for today?” She spoke as she leaned back on her seat.

“I already moved your four o’clock meeting tomorrow, vice president. You mentioned you wanted to pick up the young master from school.”

She nodded and picked up her phone, Chaewon glanced at her computer before standing up and leaving the office.

The male sighed and arranged the things on her desk, he was about to push the chair back when his phone beeped.

His eyes widened and he started to run after Chaewon.

Sehun slid down from the car and made his way towards the building’s entrance, he was visiting one of their branches within the city.

“Sir,”

The employees bowed as he passed by, he nodded back in acknowledgement.

“I received the report regarding the new takeover.” Sehun spoke as the division head walked with him.

“Yes, we are still in the process to get permits for the renovation. It’s due to begin in three weeks.”

The male handed Sehun a folder and he started to go through it.

“How about the openings? Who’s managing them?” Sehun asked as he glanced at the new boutiques on the left side, his brows rose briefly.

“I have a separate division for that, sir.”

Sehun nodded back and they got on the escalator, he felt his phone buzz in coat pocket and he took it out.

Sehun chewed on his lower lip before typing in a quick reply, promising the older girl that he’d be there.

“Sir, I~”

“Sehun-ah?”

The male turned and he broke into a polite smile.

“Hyung,” Sehun approached him with an outstretched hand.

“I haven’t seen you in a while, how are things?”

Sehun dismissed the staff behind him before speaking.

“I’ve been…buried with work, right, thank you for letting us rush the blueprint for the construction.”

The older male nodded back.

“I was stunned when I heard you wanted changes done right away, did the new one pass your standards?” He asked lightly.

“Well, hyung, it wasn’t all me. It was our partner.”

“I did hear you were working with the Jis, big hotel family.” The male replied.

“Yes, but hyung, I’m a little short on time. How about I set a meeting and you can meet up with their side? Maybe it can help with the design process?”

“Of course, just call me.” He said as he patted Sehun’s arm.

“See you around, Kyungsoo hyung.” Sehun said before walking back to his secretary and then he halted, he turned towards the male’s direction again.

“Hyung,”

The latter turned and faced him.

“Are you free tonight? I’m meeting the JBG’s representative later. ”

Chaewon stepped out of the elevator, she ran her fingers through her hair as she made her way towards the lobby.

“We’re sorry, sir. But like we said earlier, we have orders not to let you through.”

The made her look up, she noticed a group of their security guards clustered around a person, her brows rose and she approached them.

“What is going on here?” She asked, and then she stopped when her father came into view. Her jaw tightened and the guards broke away.

“Chaewon-ah, daughter.”

“What are you doing here?” Chaewon spoke, she glanced around them briefly.

“I’m here to see you.”

“For what?”

“Your brother wont let me in the company, talk to him. I am still~”

“Wait, you were the one who left, abeoji. Nobody kicked you out.” Chaewon met his gaze evenly.

“I left the family, but it doesn’t mean~”

“You really just said that. Wow. So, you’re back here for money.” Chaewon’s tone was just as cold as her gaze.

“Chaewon, I don’t want to cause any~”

“What are you doing here?”

Chaewon turned and saw her brother walking towards them, Changwook stood beside her, his forehead creased.

“You knew he was back?” She asked, Changwook glanced at her and gave her a small nod.

“I’m only here to see your sister, not you, you punk.” The elder spat, Changwook rolled his eyes and turned to the guards.

“Chaewon-ah, please hear me out.”

“I don’t have time for this.” She said to her brother before turning away.

“You think I don’t know that you’ve been seeing that boy again?!” The elder yelled, Changwook froze.

Chaewon turned back, she tilted her head before speaking.

“I’ve been seeing a lot of boys lately. Not like it’s any of your business.” She said before heading straight for the doors and getting inside her waiting car.

“Sehun-ah, come in!” Kai greeted the newcomer by the doors.

“Is this your house?” He mused as he walked in the foyer, Sehun spotted Hwan running around with a lollipop in hand.

“Hyebin noona?” Sehun asked the other male as they walked in the living room, Changwook grinned as he saw him.

“Sehun-ah,” He greeted him with a handshake, Sehun looked around and recognized a few familiar faces amongst the small party.

“Hyung, I invited a friend with me. Chaewon and I are working with him for the project, KS Construction.”

“Ah, the architectural firm?”

“Yes, hyung, he’s an old friend too.” Sehun added.

“That’s a great idea, Chaewon just got home too. I’ll tell Hyebin we have a plus one.” He said before leaving the younger male, Sehun looked around and noticed that Hwan was looking at him.

“What’s up, little boy?” Sehun said as he walked towards the toddle, Hwan chuckled before tucking something inside his jean pocket.

“Samchon, I think you’re keeping a secret.” Hwan hummed at him, Sehun blinked at the child. Meanwhile Chaewon had changed into a loose fitting shirt and skinny jeans, she put a pair Valentino flats on before heading down the stairs.

Her eyebrows were knitted together as she went down the steps, and then she looked at the guests downstairs. Her eyes went to a familiar silhouette in the crowd, he was speaking with Hwan while they looked at the Hyebin’s aquarium, her brows went up briefly.

“Sehun-ah.”

He turned and he immediately met her gaze, Chaewon paused briefly, her grip on the railing tightened.

“Auntie!” Hwan waved at her, Chaewon blinked, she diverted her gaze to the child, she smiled at him.

“I was actually starting to think that you weren’t going to come.” Chaewon said as she reached him, Sehun shook his head.

“Why would you think that?”

“You were mad at me.” Chaewon murmured, the two stepped out of the house and stood by the pool.

“I..I wasn’t. I just got a little carried away.” Sehun explained, his eyes went to her.

“I was worried that she’d find out, Sehun. And that would put you and me in a difficult spot. We both don’t want that.” Chaewon spoke carefully. Sehun started smile, and he slowly raised his hand to touch her hair.

“I know. It’s alright.” He said, Chaewon looked at his, there was still a small frown written on her face.

“I’m serious, Chaewon, it’s fine. You don’t have to think too much about it.” He said softly, and then Sehun reached for her hand and gave it a small squeeze. Chaewon blinked back at him, and then he leaned forward giving her a small quick hug.

“I never got to say this, but it’s great seeing you again, and, the thing with Hyejin,”

“It doesn’t even really matter.” He finished before heading back to the living room.
