“I’m having a hard time reaching Sehun again.”

Mrs. Oh looked up from her cup of coffee and grinned at her husband.

“Who told you to semi-retire and leave everything to our son?”

Mr. Oh shrugged and took his seat across the lady, the two were having early breakfast together before setting off for the golf course.

“It’s been a while since we last stayed here, we should get the house renovated.” Mrs. Oh murmured as she looked around the dainty breakfast room, the Ohs were at their summer villa at Jeju.

“Well, we have~”

“Excuse me, president and samonim,”

The couple looked up as Mr. Oh’s secretary walked in the room, the wife nodded for him to continue.

“Y—You have a guest,”

“A guest? Really?” Mrs. Oh was a little confused, they weren’t expecting anyone. And, her husband’s secretary seems so troubled.

“Who is it?”

“It’s the young miss Ji. She’s here.”

“What? Let her in!”

The male shut his mouth, he went back to the doors. Mrs. Oh stood up from her seat and fixed her dress and then the doors opened again.

“Chaewon-ah, to what~”

Mr. Oh halted as soon as his eyes landed on the girl, Mrs. Oh let out a gasp. The girl was so pale and had dried blood on the sleeve of her shirt.

“Auntie, uncle, I’m sorry to have barged in. But, I—I need to speak. No, I—I came here to apologize.”

“Chaewon-ah, what are you talking about?” Mr. Oh helped the girl to a chair, the girl swallowed before speaking. Mrs. Oh asked for a set of clean towels before walking towards her.

“I—I just found out everything. The truth. The reason why Sehun suddenly disappeared.”

The couple fell silent, the girl let out a shaly breath before facing them again.

“I really had no idea what my father had done, and, truthfully, I don’t even know how to face the two of you right now.” Tears rolled down her cheeks.

“I knew my father didn’t approve of him, and yet I wanted to taunt him by inviting Sehun over to that party. It’s because I really wanted to be with him, Sehun…means so much to me. but looking at it now,” She choked and closed her eyes briefly.

“Chaewon-ah, stop crying. We’re not~”

“It’s all my fault, auntie. I…destroyed your son. I’m even surprised that you let me in your home.”

“Why would we not let you in? You’re our Chaewon, no matter what state your relationship with Sehun is now.” Mr. Oh nodded at her.

“I—I’m really sorry for everything that has happened. I hurt him so much, all this time…I didn’t know how much he went through and yet I hated him, auntie. And I can’t forgive myself for being that selfish.”

Mr. Oh sighed and looked away.

“Chaewon, what happened wasn’t your fault. Your father was out of control, we…wanted to sue him but Sehun begged us not to. Stop blaming yourself,” Mrs. Oh took her hands in hers, but Chaewon didn’t have the guts to meet her gaze.

“It’s all my fault, auntie. I…I’m really sorry.”

Mrs. Oh sighed and made the girl face her.

“It’s not your fault. It was never your fault.” She told the girl, Chaewon was about to speak when suddenly her body had gone limp.

“Chaewon!” Mr. Oh caught her just in time before her head could hit the cold marble floor.

Hyebin was looking at the news when her husband walked in.

“Your father went to the media to badmouth Chaewon. What’s wrong with him?” She sighed at him.

“He’s claiming that Chaewon’s been planning this all along, removing hism from the company just to get her inheritance. I hate this.”

“Jeju.” He stated, the girl glanced up, a little stunned at his randomness.

“Appa,” Hwan greeted his father with a hug before joining his mother.

“What?”

“I finally got a hold of her secretary, they’re in Jeju.”

“That’s good then, how is she?”

“That’s the thing,” Changwook spoke, his voice shaking. Hyebin stood up from the sofa and looked at her husband.

“What’s wrong?”

“She’s been missing since last night.”

“What?” Hyebin was stunned, Hwan looked up from the TV briefly.

“Sehun arrived there, he’s been trying to look for her. But all they saw was..a broken motorcycle left at the sidewalk.”

“A motorcycle? Why~”

“Sehun saw her leave the hotel with that, the motorcycle had her bag and phone when it was found.” Changwook exhaled and pinched the bridge of his nose.

“Oh my, Chaewon.” Hyebin shook her head and Changwook swallowed.

“I already arranged a flight to Jeju. I can’t sit still.”

“I’ll prepare some clothes for you. We’ll find her, don’t worry.” Hyebin cupped his cheek, Changwook let out a sigh and nodded.

“Hyebin-ah, the motorcycle,”

The girl paused and faced him again.

“It was badly damaged.”

The Audi almost slammed against one of the house’s pillars, Sehun slid down from the car and ran towards the front doors.

“Young master, the young miss is up~”

“Is she okay?” Sehun said as he headed for the stairs.

“Yes, doctor Hong is still checking on her.”

Sehun didn’t reply and he made his way towards one of the guest rooms, he yanked the door open.

“Son,”

Sehun’s eyes went to his parents then to the girl lying on the bed, his eyes widened when he saw the state she was in.

“Chaewon,” Sehun walked towards the bed, the family doctor looked at him.

“She needed stitches for the cut on her arm, I examined her,”

Sehun ignored him, as he tried to reach for the girl’s hand, he noticed the small cut on the side of her forehead and the dried blood on her shirt.

“She bruised her rib, and it looks pretty bad. But, with proper care and a lot of rest, she’ll be okay.”

“Thanks for coming on such short notice, doctor.” Mrs. Oh let out a relieved sigh, Sehun’s forehead was creased as he gently laced her fingers with his.

“Eomma, h—how did she get here?” Sehun turned to the lady, his father patted his shoulder before walking the doctor out of the room.

“Sehun-ah, Chaewon, …she knows.”

Sehun stilled, he let go of her hand and looked at the girl again.

“She came here and..apologized to us, she was crying.”

Sehun didn’t react, instead he reached out to touch her face and gingerly pushed her hair away from cheeks.

“She walked here, Sehun. We don’t know what really happened, but she seems really hurt.”

Sehun’s thoughts went back to the discarded motorcycle he found in the wee hours of the morning, he exhaled and closed his eyes.

“Don’t worry, she’s okay. She’s just badly bruised up, son.”

Sehun nodded back, and then he kissed the top of her head, not minding how his mother was looking.

Mrs. Oh smiled to herself.

“I have to make some calls, eomma. Can you watch over her for me?” Sehun asked her, the lady smiled and nodded.

“Of course.”

Sehun walked back to his car, he opened the backseat and picked up Chaewon’s discarded bag. He heard her phone ringing and he quickly took it out.

His lips pursed as he read the name on the screen, he continued to stare at the phone as it rang.

“You had a lot of chances to make it up to her,”

“But you just had to blow up last the one.” Sehun murmured as he put the phone back.

“You’ve done enough damage. This is over.”

Sehun walked back to the house, he took out his phone on the way to his room.

“Yes, vice chairman?”

He put the phone on speaker and started to take off his shirt.

“I need you to look into Chaewon’s father, he’s went to the media to talk.”

“Yes, I did see that, sir.”

Sehun ran his fingers through his hair before continuing.

“Find a loophole.”

“Yes?”

“Make the media turn against him and,” Sehun halted when he heard the door creak open, he turned his head.

Chaewon was standing by the door, her eyes were on him.

“Ch—Chaewon-ah,”

“Do it.” She told him, Sehun took his phone from the table.

“It’s not~”

“Do it. I’ll wait here.” She said as she limped towards the bed, Sehun walked towards her and held her arm.

“I wasn’t thinking straight, I’m sorry.”

“No, do it. Turn them against him. Find a loophole, send him to jail. I don’t care anymore.” She murmured, she shook his hand away from her.

Sehun’s forehead creased, he nodded back before picking up his phone again.

“Make sure the police will get involved.” Sehun stated before ending the call, he put the device down and walked towards the girl again. He stood before her, unsure at the same time, worried over her state.

“Don’t stare. I know I look like crap.” She said, Sehun chewed on his lower lip before occupying the space next to hers.

“What happened? Did you..fall off the bike?”

“You never really finished giving me lessons. I guess I forgot.” She murmured, Sehun reached out to cup the side of her neck, Chaewon looked at his, her eyes still swollen.

“For how long were you going to keep it from me?”

“I..I didn’t want this to happen, you going against your father.”

She snorted and rolled her eyes.

“I mean it, from the moment you spoke about him back then, I knew that..you two didn’t get along well. He’s your father.”

“And you should be resting.” Sehun added, Chaewon chewed on the insides of her cheeks.

“I’m sorry.” She said, Sehun slowly shook his head.

“That’s enough. It’s fine.”

“It’s not. It will never be.” Chaewon intervened, she flinched briefly and her hand went to her side, Sehun frowned and he sighed.

“Come on, lay down.” Sehun tried to lift her up, but the girl shook her head.

“No. It’s never enough.” She told him, Sehun was about to reply but Chaewon simply leaned forward and pressed her lips against his, he paused, hesitant.

Chaewon smiled before pulling back.

“You’re not kissing me back. Ouch. Well, I deserve that.” She said before pulling herself up, Sehun halted.

“You don’t have to do this. What happened already happened, I don’t want you to feel~”

“I did that because I’ve been wanting to do it. Not because of anything else.” She looked at him, her forehead creased.

“But, you seem to be not interested so~”

Sehun stood up, he smiled before cupping the back of her neck and pulling the girl towards him, his other hand landed on her lower back. Chaewon met his gaze evenly and her brows went up questioningly, sensing his playful mood.

“What to do? I’m very interested.” He murmured before pressing his lips against hers, Chaewon smiled before wrapping her arms around his neck.
