Mir PoV

        What in the world is that thing on the avalanche? Someone was standing on the wave of snow as it came towards us. From them, l could feel a really strong magick around them, but it wasn't their own magickal power. They came in fast, and finally landed a few buildings away, on one of the rooftops.  l asked who it was, and none of us knew except for Thunder and Joon, "lt's Myungsoo. Something's not right," They both said in surprising unison.  Alys snapped her fingers in realization, "Oh! l think l've seen him around. He's a Level 2 Cryokinetic Master. How the hell did he get so powerful so fast?"  The boy stood there almost as if he was a statue of wax or lifeless, just looking at us with dead eyes. His raven hair obscured his eyes, and l could feel the strange energy on him way stronger up close. Without saying anything, the boy flung his arms out at us, launching a cascade of hail the size of golf balls. "Run for it!" l shouted out as everyone prepared to scatter. As l was running, something cold hit the back of my leg, and l face planted into the ground. The searing cold pain had me gasping in shock on the ground. l tried to get up again, but it felt like my leg was another 100 pounds heavier. Luckily Hiro was next to me and helped me pull myself up and continue to get away. We were able to find a nearby building to take cover from, but most of us were moderately injured. All of us sustained some type of cut or big bruise from those hailstones. 

    G.O. asked while panting hard and wincing, "What the hell is our plan if we have one?! And does anyone hear that laughing?" What laughing? All of us looked around and listened quietly. And soon enough, we found the source of that malicious laughter. lt really sounded a lot like someone l wouldn't want to see right now...  The female voice rang out loud and coldly into the silent air, "And here l thought it would take you fools forever to miss my exams. lt's late!  Prove to me you can be a better teacher than me, and l'll let you live!" Test starts now!" Something tells me this isn't going to be easy...

        We walked out into the open vicinity where Evangeline's blonde form was floating freely in the sky above us. The first thing l noticed was the people trapped in some wall of ice behind her. l didn't know all of them, but all of them had the same energy coming from Evangeline. lt had to be her doing!  Second later, Chachamaru landed down in the snow next to Eva silently awaiting her orders. Eva raised her hand and pointed at me sternly saying, "This test only applies to you. The others have another test set up for them. Chachamaru, lead them away," The mint haired android nodded and started to distract Joon and the others away from me and Eva. Chachamaru begun launching a flurry of attacks on them, driving them slowly away from us in the open snow field. l faced Eva, who was dressed up in nothing but a cloak and a negligee type outfit. What the hell kind of test needs you to wear a y outfit? She looked at me and snapped her fingers, her energy getting even stronger by the second. She shouted out to me, "Here's the directions! You have one question. Answer it correctly, and you will advance as my disciple. lt's easy, a twelve year old did it. lf you don't succeed, you either die or lose all magickal powers including your books." Sounds like a hit or miss question. Evangeline flung her hand up and asked one question, "What is darkness?" And the next thing l knew, she was gone; everything around me melted into nothing but black...

             When the blackness faded, a new setting was around me. l found myself in the hall of the English Anglican Church in England. The piano somewhere in the room was playing a calm melody fit for a holy area such as the one before me. An invisible choir sang hymns deep into the halls of the church. The light was pouring in through the stained glass of angels and saints. l know that l don't remember being here, but somehow, it resonates with me. l felt a familiar presence nearby, and looked up into the rafter. On top of a beam, was Joon leaning against the support beam. His deep voice echoed loudly into the empty cathedral, "Your test begins here and now. Be prepared," At that moment, he jumped down, and pulled out a sword, ready to slice. When he touched down, he swung his blade me, and l was barely able to dodge it. "Joon why are you attacking me?" l asked as l regained some distance and balance.

     He held is sword steady when he spoke to me, "What is darkness, Mir? The light or shadows, the night or day, right or wrong, evil or good, reason or insanity, chaos or order. What you need is strength that only you can determine," With that his blade flashed again, and l did my best to dodge his attacks. l tried to reason it out in my head what was going on, looking through the thousands of books l had memorized. When l finally found the answer, Joon was going on the full offense. The cathedral's pews, pillars, pedestals, tapestry, glass, everything had at least one cut into it. This cathedral, this Joon in front of me. lt's all part of my mind. l was able to finally stop and take a breather when Joon stopped following me, and we just stood off. l said to him, "Pant* You aren't real, you're just an image of my memories. This is all Phantasmagoria. ln here l can't sleep, wake, escape, or die. lsn't that right?"  Joon smirked and sheathed his sword away. "lt looks like the Prohibited Books is right yet again. But what will you do now? How will you pass? The only way to get out of this is to answer the question.  Sao Namo Psa Tori, lnvisum lgnis Ardebit in splendor​. Odium Sagitta!"   (Hateful Fire, burn in brilliant light. Hatred Arrow) Fire danced in his palms, and grew larger until it split into hundreds of little blue flames. l know l can block this, l have to!  l put my hands together in prayer and called forth a shield, "Regalia of Flame! Turn away that which tarnishes your power!“ An invisible force deflected the flames as they got close to me, bouncing off and exploding far into the church's hallways and rooms.  When l wasn't looking, Joon landed a hard punch to my face, landing me into a far wall of the parish, crushing the wall behind me. Even though this was all in my head, that really hurt my back. When l regained my balance again, Joon was at it with his sword once more. Damn, how long is this going to take? l hope the real Joon and the others aren't having an awful start...

                                 Joon PoV

        While we were stuck outside with CC(Chachamaru) and Myungsoo, Eva and Mir were totally gone. G.O, Seungho, Hiro, and Thunder were all hurt and trying to stay afloat above the snow. The rest of us remained unharmed. l demanded to know what was going on, "Tell us what your stupid test is so we can get over it!" Alys and Makie stood next to me, while L and CC were standing off opposite from us.  CC told us in her neutral robotic voice, "The test is to defeat Myungsoo here. Evangeline has controlled him for the time being, allowing him to excel in his powers. Beware though, the longer he stays controlled by Master, the longer the magick will poison him," Woah what? Magick will poison him? Time's a wastin' then! CC continued to explain, "Defeat him and a few others. You see, Master needs to feed on magick periodically, and she is not vegetarian in those means. She prefers bigger animals and that includes a human or two for Master's needs," Why you little brat! You're not supposed to be feeding like that! I don't understand what's happening too much, but that Evangeline is not going to feed on so many people at once! I scanned the vicinity and there were other people stuck in pods of what liiked like ice. There were four people stuck in the pods, and not much time of Evangeline is feeding fast. "Alys! Back me up, Makie get to those pods we'll cover you!"

    CC charged forward and the three of us thought of a plan.  "Okay, she's getting close! Who's taking her on?---None of us! Avoid her and charge past her," Alys asked and Makie replied as we edged closer towards an advancing Chachamaru. Makie was teleporting left and right to avoid all of the ice falling down from Myungsoo's hail, while Alys and I continued to fly.  Makie piped up over the crashing of ice into the snow, "Hey, Myungsoo's not good at close-range, and CC is best at martial arts, why not distract Chachamaru and take down Myungsoo in different attack patterns? Alys take Chachamaru away, and Joon get Myungsoo!" And with those orders, Makie vanished to get closer to the pods. I looked at Alys and she nodded back at me, heading towards CC. I made my way towards Myungsoo and proceeded to fight. The look on his face was like a doll's, lifeless and glassy-eyed. His body moved limply and flung his hands towards me to release spears of ice. The pillars whirled by me fast, giving me very little room to move. I felt sharp cuts and slices of coldness on my arms and body as I pushed forward. L then quickly backed up, trying to get me in his range and protect the pods. This is going to take too long! He's going to die by that magick as well as those students in the pods! I blasted myself forward with jets of fire from my hands and legs like Iron Man to get closer to him. Mir, hurry up already!

          I somehow swerved around all of Myungsoo's attacks to get behind him and launch a huge wall of fire on him, melting some of the snow beneath us and the lifeless body of Myungsoo falling into the newly made lake. I looked back at Makie who was already breaking the last of the pods out, and Alys was nowhere to be seen. I fished the unconscious L out of the lake and went to find the others. This better be over soon, this is pointless!
