Chaerin was drinking coffee while looking out at the balcony of her luxury Parisian apartment. She felt the cold wind brush past her and she tightened her hold on her cup of coffee. The sun was just about to rise.

"Will you ever find it in your heart to forgive me?"

Her thoughts wandered back to a young guy who was very much trying to impress her, but she would always react with a smart retort and leave him hanging. He was supposed to be her sumbae but she never gave him the satisfaction of being called one. She always thought that if she did, he would stop acting cute in front of her.

People wouldn't believe her though if she said that she has always been fond of him. With him, Lee Chaerin came out so naturally but she didn't want that so she had to put an act and always quarrel with him.

Chaerin was vulnerable, CL was fierce.

She may allow herself to be vulnerable to the girls but not to boys. If people were calling her trying hard, she would probably say, "Yup, I am trying hard to look the cool girl to get his attention."

But then, their love story didn't last long. Just as he has come back from his army duty, Chaerin didn't hesitate to show him just how much he meant to her. They were inseparable right after, groping and touching and kissing whenever and wherever they had the chance. If only they didn't need to stand on stage again, Chaerin wouldn't have to let him leave her side. As she saw it end though, she didn't doubt, that she will never be able to forget him. 

She was that kind of girl. 

Too fast to fall, too slow to forget. Trust me, she is part of the probable 90% of the population of women that do. 

But she brought this upon herself. She lost him because of the choices she had to make. But she didn't regret it. She knew she was going to have to make things right eventually. She will kneel down and beg if she has to just to get another chance to put things back to the way it was. They have all suffered long enough.

She has suffered long enough.

Flashback:

"Help! Anyone!" Chaerin was screaming around until an ambulance came and went to her. "No, not me…not me…" She was pushing at the paramedic.

"But miss…you're bleeding!" A paramedic told her and when Chaerin looked down her legs, she saw red then passed out.

Her grip on the cup tightened and she let her tears fall freely but she bit her lip to muffle her cries to herself. This is how she should suffer. 

To cry alone with no Lee Seungri to comfort her, was her punishment.

Seoul, South Korea

Gummy entered the practice room where the girls were all waiting. Everyone stood up to bow and greet her. There were 2 more voice coaches and she sat between them.

"Have the girls vocalized?" She asked and the coaches nodded. "Shall we start?" 

"Ne!" All the girls answered.

"Can I have a volunteer?" Gummy asked but everyone else was hesitant. 

"So far, this will be the easiest test you're going to go through so you all better impress me."

Jennie's hand went up. Gummy smiled and nodded. "Araso, we're ready when you are."

Jennie's group performed a mash up of songs ending with a powerful rap that was popular in the early 90s, No Diggity. Everyone else was scared by this time. Jennie, Eunbi, Euna and JiSoo were on top of their game. They were at a higher level than everyone else. To top that off, they were all really pretty and they even added a dance break. Talk about making an impression! They really nailed it.

The next group also composed of 4 members but these girls, didn't sing an R&B song. The shocking part though was the harmony and the high notes and Gummy seemed to really enjoy the song they were singing. She was even singing along. Their voices were very impressive.

The 3rd group, did a cover of an old 2NE1 song, I Am The Best. They were also very good however, Gummy was frowning. It must be because they made an exact copy of 2NE1 although there were only 3 members and their individuality wasn't shown. It was a group trying to be 2NE1.

"Lena, Hayi and Soohyun." Gummy called out and when they stood up, Gummy's eyes widened. "You look like triplets!" She declared and everyone laughed. Soohyun gave her a peace sign while Lena and Hayi just smiled. They were wearing black leather jackets over white tanks and black leather pants. They were also sporting dark brown hair of the same length and red high tops. Lena had a cap on while the other 2 didn't.

"We're ready when you are!" Gummy told them and the 3 girls nodded. Music started to play and Hayi began to sing to Rihanna's Love the Way You Lie II. Soohyun sang the second verse while the 3 girls harmonized at the chorus. [A/N http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=u9wJ4SD2Z2w Here is Lee Hi x 2000 won's cover of the song. It was arranged by Lee Hi. Rap part is from 2000 won, translated & tried to modify a bit. kekeke I'm not a rapper, so please bear with me. -.- ]

Hayi sounded so good and her voice was so unique that she made the song her own. Soohyun complemented Hayi's voice so well and the harmony of the 3 girls was just mind blowing. No one stole the spotlight. Everyone stood out. How can 13 year-olds do this? It seems that Hayi knew her unique sound and Soohyun could blend in well with her. Lena had a sweet soft voice that reminded Gummy so much of Dara, though her voice was more solid. She stepped forward after the chorus and did her own rap that shocked everyone watching.

"She's every bit her father's daughter." Gummy thought. "And she sounds just like her mom." Gummy knew how Dara's voice sounded while rapping because they had performed "One Love", a song by 1TYM. This performance had the same feeling. Lena sounded heartbroken, her voice soft but at the same time, sweet.

At the next chorus, Lena has joined the 2 girls in singing, instead of interjecting like what rappers usually do, showing that she cannot just rap but also blend in well with the melody and harmonize with Hayi and Soohyun. 

Gummy noticed a lone woman standing at the back of the studio. The girl with red hair that came to her chin acknowledged the older YG artist with a nod. The girl had thick shades on and was chewing on a gum, clad in an all black ensemble. She didn't interrupt the girls performing but she surely watched and she observed the same things Gummy did. 

The song was coming to a close and the girls kept the people inside the room hypnotized by their voices that when they ended, there was dead silence. They held hands and bowed. "Gamsahamnida!" The 3 girls said together and bowed.

Gong Minzy clapped her hands as she walked to the front and joined Gummy. Her heels made a loud noise on the floor and the newbies were awed by her presence. Not just that, now they were really really really…really scared. Who wouldn't know her? All these kids wanted to be her since they were small! 

The older girl stood up and hugged the beloved 2ne1 maknae.

"Wow!" Minzy turned back to the 3 girls. "I hope you can dance as good as you sing." She spoke and the girls didn't understand if she meant well or not. All the girls stood up and bowed to greet their sumbae.

"Did you just get back?" Gummy asked her.

"I arrived yesterday. I thought I'd come and check to see my students in the coming week."

"I'm really glad you came!"

"That makes 1 of us, Unnie! I mean, I'm glad to see you like always but being in this building is still giving me mixed emotions." Gummy never got used to Minzy's acquired sarcasm and her jokes became a bit off since after 2NE1 disbanded. Minzy has become cold now, that her oppas didn't joke with her that much anymore. How could they, when they could hardly look her in the eye or talk to her without getting ignored? Except Daesung though. Gummy knew how much Daesung fought for her after that incident. But now they were together again and that was all that mattered. Her thoughts were broken when Minzy spoke.

"Wow! Are you like, triplets or something?" Minzy asked Hayi, Soohyun and Lena who shook their heads.

"They probably thought we wouldn't recognize them. It worked though because at some point, I didn't know where I'll look and it made me divert my attention to their song all the more. No one stood out so much and no one lagged behind. Minzy, do the honors now, would you?"

"Unnie's making me work when I just came here to visit." Gummy smiled  and looked down but Minzy acquiesced. "But yeah, I'd like to say something. I'll probably be able to give a critic that wouldn't compare this group to the others." Gummy nodded. "I arrived just in time for your performance. Let's see."

Minzy looked at the 3 of them again and shook her head. "Your similar looks is a really good diversion."

"Those 2 look like twins." The guy beside Gummy, who was a vocal coach at YG commented. "Its quite scary." Gummy chose to just smile and keep quiet, Minzy did too.

"But remember that when you finally stand on stage, you have to desirable and recognizable. You should be able to make the people remember you. If you go on stage like this, I'll be wondering if I walked into a remake of the Dreamgirls. Never do this again if you want to survive an industry of plastics and people who'd rather see a pretty face than focus on talent." Gummy placed a hand on Minzy's knee to give her a signal that she was going over board. "I just want to let you know, as young as you are, the world that you are attempting to enter."

"Never the less, it was a good job overall. There was a part where you (points at Hayi) your voice broke at the high note. If you think you wouldn't be able to reach a note as high as that, extend your neck. You were singing stiffly so your cords will be limited. Stretch your neck a bit and just like in vocalizing, look up, or focus on something above you. And you (points at Soohyun) be careful of your flats. Flats are a very bad thing so do something about that, eh? And you were singing a sad song, why were you smiling? Remember that when you sing, you are expressing something. If its a sad song, then don't smile. Hayi-shi, I also noticed that in you. But you were so stoic. Your voice meshed well together so I really don't have anything to comment except those I pointed out." Soohyun bowed and thanked Minzy.

"This girl (points at Lena) did you write that rap?"

"Ne…" Lena answered.

"Good! Sorry, I had to doubt because you're still so young and you were rapping about broken hearts that I don't even think you know anything about falling in love." Gummy and the 2 voice coaches laughed. "I'm curious, where did you get the inspiration? Have you ever been in love? You must have a boyfriend!"

"Animida." Lena answered politely while blushing and cleared . "I was thinking about my mother and how she got her heart broken. She inspires me a lot. The things I write have mostly been inspired by her."

"Like father, like daughter…" Both Minzy and Gummy thought but kept to themselves though they both had a knowing grin on their faces. Lena bit on her lip, scared about what Minzy was going to say. There was a part where she made a mistake but tried to cover it.

"Your mom is a rapper's muse then!" Minzy knew the truth to that so well. "I hope your mom is happy now." She told Lena sincerely and Gummy thought that Minzy must know who this girl's mother is. 

"Like the 2, your expression was also lacking. Well, can't blame you because I'm sure you haven't suffered a broken heart yet. Careful on your words though coz your pronunciations of some korean words weren't clear enough. When you rap, you have to be very articulate. You've heard us rap, ne?"

"Ne…"

"Do we mumble?"

"Animida."

"You shouldn't do that too. You don't just mumble unless it really is part of your song. If you forget a lyric, improvise. You can write your rap, then you should be able to do freestyle. That's how we never get caught."

"Thank you, sumbaenim." Lena said and bowed politely that Minzy couldn't help but smile. The girl got spunk. Soohyun was on the verge of tears and Hayi was again, expressionless. Gummy was shocked to see Minzy smile again but she didn't want to make it obvious so she just turned to the girls.

"The song was arranged by Hayi-shi?" Hayi nodded. "Harmony by Soohyun?" Soohyun gave a curt nod as well. "I'm glad you gave a personal touch to the song. I'm really happy that you girls made it your own. Always remember, expression! Never perform if your face is going to be blank. Lena-shi, Minzy was right, if you forget something, improvise. Tell us honestly, did you forget?" Lena smiled and nodded and the other girls were shocked because they didn't notice it until their mentors pointed it out.

"I thought you wrote it?" Minzy asked.

"Ne, sumbaenim, but I got scared in the middle that I completely missed the lyric."

"Thank you for your honesty. Its all right to get scared now. Make sure it doesn't happen again." Gummy spoke and Lena nodded. "I think you did a great job but I'm sure you can do so much better. Krom, work harder, araso? Thank you girls."

It was now time for the dance part and Minzy watched them all through her thick sunglasses. She chose not to comment. But she called out names in the middle of the dance and asked them to sit while their group mates continued dancing. Of course no one, was eliminated from Jennie's group. However, only 2 remained from the next and then 1 from the group before Hayi, Lena and Soohyun's.

"Can you take out your wigs?" Minzy asked the 3 girls and they complied. Her eyes went to the brunette who was shaking her hair to make it look presentable. She then helped the other girl while Hayi was also fixing her blonde mane. Minzy smiled at Hayi who couldn't help but smile back. "I like the pink highlights." Minzy told her. "And I know you so no need to hide." Hayi nodded, suddenly scared that she'd mention Hayi's dad but Minzy didn't.

Minzy stepped back to watch the girls but she stayed on the side and her head was turned in a way that wasn't obviously watching. The 3 girls began to dance and they started out clean however, in the middle, Soohyun glanced at Minzy and she got scared. She completely forgot the next step and was having a hard time catching up to Lena and Hayi. Lena and Hayi tried to save her though and improvise however…

"Soohyun! Sit down!" Minzy called out from the corner, exactly like what she did to the other groups. "You two, continue and stick to the choreography." Minzy warned and the 2 girls complied.

"Good luck with hiding this…" Minzy thought to herself as she watched Hayi and Lena dance. "They are every bit their parents' children. They stand out naturally."

Hayi and Lena turned then dropped to the floor as the dance ended, for the last pose.

"Minzy, do you have any words?"

"These 2 are better dancers than their parents." She commented but she didn't add more. Lena and Minzy knew now that Minzy knows who they really are and they were scared that she'd suddenly announce it. She pointed to the group on right. "Sit with them." Hayi and Lena nodded after they both released a sigh. Relieved that Minzy didn
