Jungkook looked at his sleeping sister and sighed. Crying always did take a toll on her and she always falls asleep after. He walked out of the room and closed the door quietly.

“She’s sleeping?” Sehun spoke up from the couch. Jungkook nodded. After Areum’s breakdown at the mall Sheun was the first person he called. Sehun didn’t think twice to leave work and come home.

“Hyung, is ok for you to keep leaving work like this?” he asked as he sat next to the older boy.

“Its fine. Don’t worry about it. It's almost 5 anyway.” But in reality it wasn’t. He had skipped many days at work and his dad was getting angry. Although him leaving didn’t affect his work at all, he still managed to do everything from home, his dad was still angry at the fact his son was missing. Jungkook sighed and leaned his head back on the couch with his eyes closed.

“You know I always thought that she would end up with you.”

Sehun’s eyes widened and looked at the boy, “Wha-what?”

“Don’t pretend hyung. I know you love my sister. Its pretty obvious.”

Sehun looked down at his hands, “How long?” he asked softly.

“When was it? In the middle of her freshman year when you came over to our house? When we met for the first time? She might have been too oblivious but the way you looked at her with eyes oozing off love was creepy. And cringe worthy. I knew it then. But then I didn’t know why you never said anything to her.” he opened his eyes and turned his head to Sehun. “You were always there for her. She would always unconsciously come to find you when she’s sad and you were always there.” He turned his head to the ceiling. “I was waiting for it. I like you hyung. I was waiting for the day you two would become something. She came home on Valentine’s day years ago happy and I thought….well I thought. She was happy but it wasn’t you. She never told me who it was but she was happy so as long as she’s happy then I’m happy. But after her birthday her mood went down from there. I don’t know but I knew something wrong had happened. Whenever I asked her she would say she’s fine. I didn’t want to pressure her. Then the day before we left for Beijing she came home and cried. I knew then it was bad. But then she met Kris. It took me awhile to trust him for her but then when I saw how he made her happy I thought she was given another chance. But then this happened.” He let out a bitter chuckle. “Why can’t she be happy? Is that too much to ask?”

Sehun looked at the younger boy. He didn’t know what to say. What can he do to make this better? He didn’t know.

“So, what I’m saying is.” Sehun looked at Jungkook who looked at him back. “You’re the only one who didn’t up yet. So I’m trusting you. Don’t make me regret it. And if you have something to tell her do it now. How much longer are you going to wait on the sidelines? If you keep being a wuss maybe you really don’t deserve her.”

Sehun looked at Jungkook and let out a sad chuckle. He looked down at his hands. “I was going to tell her you know.”

Jungkook looked over. “What?”

“I was going to tell her. 5 years ago. Valentine’s day. But it didn’t work out.” 

Flashback  

Sehun was walking into school. It was Valentine’s day and he was nervous. He had been searching all week for the perfect gift and the correct words to say to her. Today was the day. Today was the day he was going to ask his sunshine to be his girlfriend. He had liked her since freshman year when they met outside the convenient store when she so rudely sat next to him. He grinned at the memory. Even on the first day he knew she was something else. They became friends and then he started having feelings for her. Like became love and he was questioning himself if he was too young to even know what love was. But as time went on he knew for sure he loved this girl and there was no denying it. He couldn’t picture himself with anyone else. He nicknamed her sunshine because she was literally sunshine to him. His mood always brightened up when he was with her. She brightened up his cloudy days. He tightened his grip on his backpack, where it contained her gift. He couldn’t wait to give it to her and ask her. He knew he was taking a big risk but he wanted to do it so bad. He wanted to be able to hold her as his. He walked into school and say his friends.

“Hyungs.” He called out.

“Hey Sehun.” Suho smiled at him. He looked over to his other friends who were receiving Valentine Day gifts and saw that Suho also had some in his hands.

“Where’s Kai?”

Suho shrgged. “He might be in class already sleeping. You know how he is in the morning.”

Sehun nodded. “Have you seen Areum?”

Suho shook his head. “I think she might be in class already? You can check there.” Sehun nodded.

“I’ll see you later then hyung!” he turned around and was about to leave but a girl stepped in front of him.

“Shun sunbae. This-This is for you.” She said shyly as she handed him a box of chocolates, a letter on top of it. Sehun looked at the box and looked at her. He knew what the letter was going to contain and he didn’t have time for confessions today.

“Sorry, I need to go.” He side stepped her and walked away. He only had one person in mind right now and that was Park Areum. He weaved himself through the hallways ignoring all the girls who were trying to give him gifts and love letters. He speeds walked to the direction of Areum’s classroom when he saw her back. He was about to call out for her when he saw her standing in front of someone. In front of Kai. He stopped walking and looked at them hiding behind the corner of the hall.

“Jongin oppa.” He heard her say. “This is for you.” He looked as Areum reached over and handed Kai a box of chocolates. Kai looked at it and smiled.

“I love these! I got these last year for Valentines and they were delicious. I have been craving them since then but didn’t know where to get them! Thanks Areum!” he said happily as he took the choclates from her hand.

Areum rubbed the back of her neck. “They’re actually my favorite.”

“Wait, did you give them to me last year?” he asked looking at Areum.

Areum pinked and let out a shy nod. Kai grinned at her.

“Aw thanks.” He ruffled her hair. “Thanks to you I get to eat these again.”

“Actually oppa, I have something to tell you.”

“Go ahead.” He said opening the box of chocolate.

“I-I-I-“ she stuttered and pressed her lips together.

Kai chuckled. “What? Don’t be scared. You can tell oppa anything.”

Areum looked at his smiling face and felt her heart race. 

“Will you be my boyfriend?!” she blurted.

Kai looked at her with wide eyes. “What?” he asked softly.
