Areum stretched from her chair. It had been a busy day at work. She had finished going over the documents for the company and also had already started planning for the Kim’s Anniversary. She was glad she was able to catch up with her work seeing that she didn’t even come in to work at all after skating with Kai. It has been a couple days after the meeting. She smiled at the memory of her and Kai skating. She was happy that they could still be friends. Kai was her first love and its hard to forget your first love even though he hurt her. She still felt very happy to be in his presence. He had a special presence to her that made her heart feel lighter. She had to admit she had a lot of fun as well even though her skating skills were lacking. She was able to forget about her problem with Sehun avoiding her. She was sure the boy was avoiding her on purpose. He must really be upset. Did I upset him that much? Areum turned around and looked out the glass window that cover half of her office on the wall. It was raining today and it doesn’t seem that it will light up anytime soon. She looked as the rain hit her window. She looked at her clock. 4:05 PM. An idea popped in her head she headed out the office with a smile on her face and an umbrella in her hand. 

Kris was standing in front of the full length window in his office watching it rain. The rain seems like it wasn’t stopping anytime soon. She must love it right now. She’ll sleep like a baby tonight. He smiled as his thoughts went towards a special girl in his heart. Areum loved it when it rained at night. She told him once that it was like a lullaby to her and that it lulled her to sleep. Throughout the years with her he found that to be true. She would always have her best sleep when it was raining. He looked at the clock 4:45 PM, work was about to be done.

Knock Knock.

“Come in.”

Wendy walked in with a cup of warm coffee. “Mr. Wu, your coffee.”

“I didn’t ask for any.”

Wendy swallowed hard. Kris has been very distant and cold towards ever since that day that she spilled coffee on him.

“I just thought that you would like some since it’s a little chilly in here.” She said softly.

When Kris didn’t answer Wendy looked down hurt. She quietly left the room. When she stepped out her eyes met the last person she wanted to see right now. Areum walked out the elevator and made her way to Kris’s office greeting the workers. She stopped in front of Wendy.

“Hello.” She smiled. “Is Yifan in his office?”

Wendy nodded at her. Before Wendy could even utter a word she saw Areum walk into Kris’s office.

“What is it this time?” Kris asked coldly. Areum didn’t answer and went behind him and wrapped her arms around his waist. Kris eyes were about to pop out his skull until he heard the soft muffled voice on his back.

“Its cold in here you big giant.”

He smiled gently knowing exactly who it was. He turned around and faced Areum.

“What are you doing here?” he kissed the top of her head.

“I thought maybe I could pick you up from work today.” She pouted looking up at him. “Its raining and cold and all I want to do is get out of this dress and these heels
