Its been about a week since the group returned from Jeju but Krystal’s words still plays in his mind over and over again.

“You really don’t know huh? It makes me wonder what other secrets is she keeping from you.”

Kris sat on his desk and frowned. He wanted to trust Areum. No he trusts her but he can’t help but feel there was something more about Areum’s and Kai’s friendship. Areum’s my fiancé and Kai is one of my best friends. I shouldn’t worry too much. But why can’t I help it?

If there is nothing to hide then….. Kris picked up his phone and dialed a number. After a couple of rings the other side picked up.

“Yes young master?”

“I need you to do something for me.” 

After the call Kris hung up. He sighed and tilt his head back on his chair and closed his eyes. I just need to know. He didn’t notice that he soon fell asleep.

Wendy walked in Kris’s office. 4 days without seeing and she missed him a lot. She was more than happy when the 4 days was up and she as excited to go to work to see him. However, ever since he came back from his vacation he kept himself busy throughout the whole day, finishing up work earlier than usual to go home. He barely steps out of his office unless he has to and she wanted to see him more. Thus prompting her the idea of bringing him coffee. When she stepped into his office she didn’t hear any sounds and looked over to his desk just to see him fast asleep. She smiled and walked over to him. She placed the cup down and admired his handsome face. Kris then knotted his eyes in his sleep and out of reflex Wendy placed a finger in between and smoothed it out. Her hand then went down to caress his face. He’s beautiful. I think I’m in love with you. Suddenly Kris hands went up and held onto Wendy’s wrist and pulled her down to him.

“Areum….” He was mumbling in his sleep. Wendy’s eyes bulged and couldn’t believe what was going on. She was basically sitting on Kris’s lap while he hugged her. She wanted to pull away but felt herself not being able to because all she ever wanted was to be his arms like this. She then laid her head on his chest taking in this chance that was given to her.

“Areum……Areum…..secrets…..” Kris was mumbling in his sleep and Wendy couldn’t make out what he was saying. All she can hear was Areum’s name and it was starting to irritate her. she laid her head and tighten her hold onto Kris’s shirt. I don’t think I can let go now. Park Areum I fell for him. I’m not pretending anymore. Let’s see who Kris will choose at the end. Wendy stayed in that position for a few more minutes until letting go and leaving his office. She didn’t want to get caught. Because the games have just begun. 

“I bought a gift for you Sehun. I bought it for you for your birthday but you weren’t in Seoul and I didn’t have a chance to see you until now. Happy late birthday.”

Sehun stopped eating and looked over at the gift on the table. Tonight Irene and her parents was invited to eat over at the Oh residence and Sehun’s dad “told” him to come. He eyed the box and continued eating.

“Thanks.”

“Aren’t you going to open it Sehun-ah?” his step mom asked.

Sehun took a deep breath. He didn’t want to cause a scene in front of the guests especially business partners. He reluctantly opened the box to reveal a new Cartier Rotonde de Cartier Astrotourbillon.

Sehun’s eye’s widened at the expensive gift.

“Irene I couldn’t. this watch is 117 grands. I can’t accept something like this.” He said as he slid the watch back over to her.

Irene slid the watch back to him. “It’s no problem. It was your birthday and I think that this watch will look amazing on you.”

Sehun shook his head. “I can’t.”

“Sehun-ah accept it. She went through all that trouble of getting it for you.” His dad spoke up. Sehun pressed his lips together and took the gift.

“Thank you.”

Irene shook her head and noticed the bracelet on Sehun’s wrist. “Oh, I never seen you wear that before.”

Sehun looked down at his wrist and saw the bracelet Areum had given him for his birthday with a gentle smile. “It was a gift.”

Irene saw the way Sehun was looking down at the bracelet and frowned. “That’s the Cartier love bracelet right?”

Sehun nodded his head. Irene’s frown deepened.

“Actually today’s dinner came with a motive.” Sehun’s dad spoke up making everyone look at him. “My good friend and I here, we have an announcement to make.” Sehun looked at his dad confusedly. “Me and Bae Joon here have been friends for a long time now and have been business partners for years. It will be wonderful to not only strengthen our business but our families as well. So today I would like to announce the engagement of my son Oh Sehun with Ms. Bae Joohyun.”

Sehun’s stepmom and Irene’s mom was squealing while their dads toast wine glasses. Sehun was shocked. No shocked was an understatement he didn’t know what was going on. He looked over to Irene and saw her red cheeks eyeing him shyly. It seems she already knew about this arrangement and was ok with it. Well Sehun wasn’t. He was not ok with it at all.
