Sang Hee walked over to her desk, later that day, holding a cup of water and found an envelope, sitting on top of her keyboard, addressed to her.

"What is this?" She asked while holding it up.

Chin Hwae glanced up before shrugging, "The mail people dropped it off a second ago."

Sang Hee hummed and took a seat before slicing the envelope open with her finger. She pulled out the contents and frowned when she saw what it was.

A Seoul postcard.

Why would someone send her a postcard from the city that she already lived in?

She flipped it over and felt her frown deepen when she read the message on the back with no sender name.

Don't trust the person who had broken faith once.

Shakespeare?

"Huh? Oh. It's nothing. Probably just some weird horoscope thing." She said while flipping the envelope over."What is it?" Dong Chul asked while peeking over his computer. Himchan lifted his head in curiosity and stared at Sang Hee who was chewing her lip.

There was no return address. She gave the post card one more look before tossing it in her drawer.

The rest of the day moved painfully slowly. Most of it was paperwork and filling out report or fielding phone calls. No one ever talks about the non-action packed parts about being a cop and she knew why. It was totally mind numbing.

She didn't know how she spent almost 4 years doing only this. It made her want to work harder to impress Himchan and get him to want to keep her on the case.

When they were finally cut loose she didn't hesitate to yell out a rushed goodbye to everyone, grab her stuff and dart out of the building. The faster she got home and could relax, the better.

Himchan blinked in surprise when she sped past him and out the door. His eyes flew to her desk where the open envelope was left. He stared at his for a second, cocking his head, before walking to the others.

Dong Chul slung his arm around him, "So what are you up to tonight?"

"He's probably going to lock himself up in his apartment and not come out until tomorrow." Chin Hwae stated simply.

Himchan nudged his friend in the chest, "Funny."

"Seriously, you must be so lonely. At least me and Chin Hwae have each other." Dong Chul said while letting go of Himchan to jump on his partner's back.

Chin Hwae quickly grabbed his friends' thighs and carried him to Himchan's car. "I'm perfectly fine. This whole 'Himchan is lonely' speech is getting a bit overdone."

Dong Chul reached over and ruffled the older man's hair.

"Don't worry. I know just how to fix it."

-----

Sang Hee ended her call with her mom as the elevator stopped at her floor. She pulled her keys out and let herself into her apartment.

She dropped her keys and bag on the kitchen table. She really needed to unpack all her things soon but every time she came home, she'd be way too tired to do anything else.

I'll do it on the weekend.

She whipped her shirt off and tossed it to the side and moved to her bathroom to get changed.

She was about to strip everything else off and shower when she started sniffing wildly. She started coughing while pinching her nose.

Her bathroom smelt absolutely repulsive.

It was a mix between something sour and something old and decaying.

It was the same wet bread smell from last night but it was ten times worse. She started searching for the source of the smell by opening cabinets and drawers but everything was empty.

She stuck her head out into her living and took a whiff of the air in there. It smelled normal but the second she came back into the bathroom, the smell was back.

"What the hell is that?" She asked herself while looking around.

Sand Hee did a double take when she noticed a huge dark spot in the corner of her bathroom ceiling. It almost looked like it was stained. She stood in the corner of her room and tilted her head back and stared at the strange dark spot.

"That was never there before." She muttered while narrowing her eyes at the ceiling tile. She took a deep breath and immediately gagged when the foul smell from before hit her senses full force.

Yup, she found the source.

She was supposed to talk to the landlord about it but she thought the smell would go away by the time she got back from work. It was fine when she had signed the lease. She came with her parents and checked the whole place out.

She scratched her head. Maybe she could crack all the windows open and spray the bathroom in disinfectant until she got a chance to talk to the landlord.

That's when it happened.

She wasn't sure if it was a slow crack or if it gave way all at once but one second Sang Hee was staring up at the dark spot, unsure what to do about it, and the next second, she was covered in dirty water.

She let out a surprised scream, drenched, as she stared up at the gaping hole in her ceiling. The dry wall had caved in and now she was soaked in disgusting water.

What the just happened?

The tenant from the floor above looked into the gaping hole in their floor with wide eyes, "What happened?"

Sang Hee quickly tripped over her feet, trying to pull a shirt over her body, "Um…I'm not sure."

The woman above leaned closer to the hole and sniffed it before covering and nose, "That doesn't look safe. We should go talk to the land lord. Now."

-----

"I'm sorry…what?" Sang Hee balked as everyone on her floor stood crammed together in the landlord's office.

"It's black mould. And it's very dangerous. We called the exterminators but we need to evacuate everyone from the building."

One of the older men looked bewildered, "Until when?"

"Until the exterminators get rid of all the mould which could take a very long time. We'll send some people to gather a few of your belongings, but we need everyone out of the building as soon as possible. It's dangerous if you inhale too much."

Sang Hee shook her head, "Woah, woah, wait. What about our rent? You made us pay the first two months up front."

A few murmurs of agreement simpered through the crowd as the land lord shrugged, "It wasn't in your contract to return rent due to mould."

"So where do you expect us to go until the mould gets cleared up?" Someone called out.

The land lord gave them a blank look, "I don't know what you want from me. All I'm responsible for is evacuating you and paying for the extermination."

"S-So what now?" Sang Hee asked, her hands trembling and her heart palpitating.

"Now you guys take your belongings and find a new place to stay."

-----

Himchan shook his head. "Why are you guys cooking in my house when you both have your own place like one floor below?"

He was flipping through his TV when Chin Hwae and Dong Chul came knocking on his door with bags of groceries before forcing their way into his house and commandeering his kitchen.

"Beecccaaauuusseeeee you live here alone and we thought you'd feel lonely." Dong Chul said with a grin.

"And we’re worried that your meals only consists of instant noodles and take out. You need more iron in your diet." Chin Hwae nodded while stirring a pot, simmering over the stove.

Himchan sighed as he watched the two of them work. He wasn't used to having company in his apartment. If anything, he normally hung out in their apartment.

"You guys look like a married couple."

Chin Hwae and Dong Chul looked at each other before nodding, "Yeah, I'd marry Dong Chul."

"Same, man. I'm touched."

Himchan rolled his eyes, it was annoying how Dong Chul and Chin Hwae never took anything he said seriously unless it was about a case.

He turned when he heard a knock on the door and glanced back at the Dong Chul and Chin Hwae as if he was expecting them to do something about it.

Chin Hwae gave him an empty look, "Go answer the door. Can't you see that we're a little busy?"

Himchan scoffed before walking to the door, muttering angry curses under his breath. He loved those two men, but sometimes he couldn't deal with their energy.

He looked over his shoulder at the kitchen where Dong Chul was complaining about the amount of salt Chin Hwae used before shaking his head and opening the door.

He did a double take and froze when Sang Hee looked up at him with a nervous smile.

His eyes flashed to the suitcases and bags in tow with her.

"What the hell are you doing here?" He blurted out, his eyes na

Hi Loviet, I'm your biggest fans of your writing, I've read AnD first before the Home series, I love it so much that I've give it a go for Home, and ofc I still impressed of your stories. Few days ago I've comeback to Aff and start rereading all my fav stories, and surely again you will hear from me that you are so talented and thank God you are still writing! AnD left a big of impression to me because unlike Eunah and Yongguk, Himchan have it hard from the beginning, the character development of him trying to accept his past and start to be good for himself is beautiful. This is the man who rather see everyone around him happy but himself, the man who cares about other but neglect himself, the one who is so strong but choose to hurt himself more, thank you for giving chances to him. I could say AnD is the second best after RoD <3 thank you for writing, stay safe!
