"This is totally unnecessary." Himchan grumbled as he stood shamelessly in the girl's changing room, waiting for Sang Hee to come out.

A leather jacket came sailing over the door, landing over his head. He growled and ripped it off his head and glared at the stall door.

Sang Hee grunted as she tried to get change, "The only way she'll talk to us is if she thinks that I'm there to sign with her."

Himchan leaned his head back against the door and closed his eyes, "Or we could just show her our badges and get her to answer our questions up front."

"Have you seen Go Miran? She isn't the type of person to sit down with a cop and tell us every horrible thing she did that could relate to her enemy's death. The only thing that woman has time for is stealing Jeon's clients, so if we play our cards right, we'll have her in the palm of our hands."

A white t-shirt flew at Himchan's head. He scowled but when he saw the sheer fabric in his hands, drenched in jasmine perfume, he just threw both her jacket and shirt towards the sink with a glare.

"It still feels like a waste of time." He grumbled.

The stall door unlocked before it swung open. Sang Hee stood in the entrance and put her hands on her hips before cocking her head.

"What do you think?" She asked.

Himchan lazily turned his head and stared at her. She was wearing a long plain white dress with a fitted pale denim jacket with a pretty sun hat on top.

Himchan's brows furrowed as he watched her check herself out in the mirror. She loosely braided her hair before pulling out a tube of lip gloss. It was a look that he had never imagined on her. It was…something.

"What image were you trying to go for?" He asked, sounding befuddled.

Sang Hee swiped pink gloss over her lips before looking at Himchan through the reflection in the mirror, "Wide eyed innocence."

Himchan's face broke out in disbelief before he snorted loudly, "Yeah, I think you're going to need way more than just clothes to try to sell that image, tiger."

Sang Hee glared as him as she smack her lips and turned around. "I don't care if you buy it, I just need Miran to buy it. The more naïve she thinks I am, the easier she'll spill the beans."

Himchan stared at her face before sighing. He reached his hand out and gripped her chin before using his thumb to wipe a bit of lip gloss off the corner of .

Sang Hee froze, her eyes widening as she looked up at his face, his features were turned down in a frown as he smudged the lip gloss away.

"You're thirty years old and you don't know how to apply lip gloss?"

Sang Hee's scoffed and smacked his hand away before rolling her eyes. "No one asked for your input, thanks."

She grabbed her clothes off the counter and her pants from the stall before flipping her hair and strutting out.

"Let's go, Manager Kim. I don't have all day."

-----

"It's totally obvious." She pointed out as her and Himchan stood in the Paradise parking lot in front of his car.

Himchan hooked his sunglasses  in the v neck of his shirt, "No it's not."

"Anyone can tell that you're carrying a gun. A manager doesn't carry a deadly weapon around like it's his wallet." Sang Hee said.

Himchan threw his hands in the air, "Then what the hell do you want me to do? I'm not leaving it behind."

"I know you can't." Sang Hee said while tapping her lip. She scanned him from head to toe before an idea popped up in her mind.

She stuck her arm out and pulled Himchan's gun out from his belt before stepping right up to them so that their chest bumped together. She circled her arms around his waist and pressed her body to his.

"What the hell are you doing?" He barked angrily while raising his hands in the air, not to touch her.

Sang Hee's eyebrows knit in focus as she used one hand to lift the back of his shirt and the other one to tuck it into the back of his jeans. She pulled his shirt over it before inspecting the bulge.

"Yeah, see? Just throw your jacket on and no one can tell." She said while stepping back.

Himchan rolled his eyes and shoved her even further away from him.  "Where's your gun?"

"In my bag. Now hurry up. We're supposed to meet her in 5 minutes."

Himchan watched her walk away and rubbed his forehead at the whole ordeal before dragging himself behind her.

When he opened the door, Miran was already standing with Sang Hee, shaking her hand. He strode up to her and nodded stiffly at her, with no attempt to shake her hand.

"You're Sang Hee's manager, right?" Miran asked.

Himchan took in a deep breath and mustered up a pathetic excuse for a smile, "That's me."

"I have to say, I assumed Sang Hee's image wasn't so much the innocent type. I was thinking she'd be more tomboyish, like when I first ran into her." Miran said while eyeing the girl up and down.

Sang Hee opened , a little shocked before jumping in to answer her, "Oh well CEO Jeon just wanted to see if I could pull of a different look."

Miran poked her tongue out of before nodding, "Of course she did."

Himchan raised his brows at Miran's quiet mumbling, "We're kind of on a time crunch, so…"

"I'm glad you wanted to meet with me. I've been thinking about you, for a really long time. I'm so excited to sign you."  Miran said with a smile while checking her phone.

Himchan stepped up in front of Sang Hee, "We're not signing with anyone yet. We just wanted to meet with you and see what opportunities you can give my client."

Miran looked up from her phone in surprise, meeting Himchan's eyes. She blinked at the man before scanning him and turning around.

"Very well then. Let's go to my office." She said called over her shoulder.

Sang Hee bounced up and down and nudged him in the arm, "You're made to be my manager."

"Just walk." He growled while walking away.

-----

"You know, we came here straight from CityLife after talking with Jeon." Sang Hee said innocently while scanning Miran's office.

Himchan sat down beside Sang Hee and locked his jaw when she made him hold her handbag. Miran her computer that was angled away from Himchan. Sang Hee's eyes widened when she saw the log in screen flash.

Her eyes darted to the keyboard and watched her fingers moved over the keyboard.

"How did your meeting go with Jeon? I heard that she was very eager to sign new actresses."

Sang Hee's eyes flickered but she kept on a bright smile, "I think you must've heard wrong because she's been paying more attention to idol boys."

Miran's face darkened, "I'm not quite sure what she does. I don't exactly follow her every move."

Sang Hee wanted to laugh. The woman has tracked Jeon's every move, according to Yoo.

"I heard there's a pretty big rivalry between you two." Himchan added while resting his arm on the back of Sang Hee's chair.

Miran's scoffed while typing, "Everyone with ears knows about our rivalry. It's like how the Big 3 are considered rivals. We're just competing. But it won't affect your career here at Paradise. We actually have a few projects that were totally made for you."

Sang Hee smiled angelically, "The reason that I even decided to meet with you is because one of my friends is actually signed here and is supposed to debut. He said good things about the company so I wanted to give it a shot."

"A friend? Or a boyfriend? We don't allow any of our artists to date until 10 years into their contract." Miran's eyes sharpened.

Himchan chuckled, "Don't worry. Our little Sang Hee isn't allowed to date at all. Not that she gets a lot of offers from men."

Sang Hee smiled but her eye twitched. She placed a hand on Himchan's knee and dug her nails into his leg, making him wince.

Miran smiled in relief, "Oh that's good. Who's your friend?"

Sang Hee crossed her leg and smiled while staring Miran down, "Park Jung Ho."

The change in expression on the woman's face did not go undetected by both detectives. She looked obviously upset at the mention of his name as she huffed away.

"Jung Ho is currently abroad." Miran stated a matter a factly.

Himchan nodded, his fingers grazing the ends of Sang Hee's hair, "I thought he was in talks of debuting soon. Why is he in the States?"

"It was his choice. He demanded to be moved in order to deal with some personal things that he was handling with his old company." Miran said in a cold tone.

Sang Hee just smiled, learning from Himchan, not letting her surprise show, "Have you been working here all night?"

The woman waved her off, "I've been running around doing last minute preparations for an upcoming company wide variety show appearance. You know. If I sign you, you might be able to debut just in time."

Sang Hee glimpsed at Himchan who just stared blankly at Miran."Why would a chairwoman have to do prep for a variety show?"

"Oh darling, I deal with all of my artist's wardrobe. I spent all last night with a very famous designer who I'm sure would love to work with you." She said to Sang Hee.

Himchan dropped his hand from Sang Hee's chair and sat up, "How about you take Sang Hee and tour the building? I hardly think we can sign with a company without looking at their facilities."

Sang Hee shot a confused looked at Himchan who just nodded slightly, telling her to just shut up and follow his lead.

Miran stood up, "Of course! Come with me dear, we hav

Hi Loviet, I'm your biggest fans of your writing, I've read AnD first before the Home series, I love it so much that I've give it a go for Home, and ofc I still impressed of your stories. Few days ago I've comeback to Aff and start rereading all my fav stories, and surely again you will hear from me that you are so talented and thank God you are still writing! AnD left a big of impression to me because unlike Eunah and Yongguk, Himchan have it hard from the beginning, the character development of him trying to accept his past and start to be good for himself is beautiful. This is the man who rather see everyone around him happy but himself, the man who cares about other but neglect himself, the one who is so strong but choose to hurt himself more, thank you for giving chances to him. I could say AnD is the second best after RoD <3 thank you for writing, stay safe!
