"Can I enter?" Although Jessica was asking for permission, she was already entering his room. If she had waited for an answer, she might have to wait for more than 5 minutes because Kris seemed to be in a daze.

It wasn't the first time she went into a guy's room. She used to visit Kai's house previously, and she also visited some of the council members' house to settle their council work. Entering Kris's house still made her a little bit shocked.

It was a big room, but it wasn't a very neat one. There were books and paper balls lying on the ground; fortunately there weren't any dirty clothing or abnormal smell. The condition of his room was better than what she had expected because Kris was a lazy person.

The lightings of the rooms were great, there was also a huge transparent sliding door that leads to a balcony. The wind carried a Cherry Blossoms scent which made Jessica liked the place even more.

"Hello?" Jessica waved at him while sitting down on a bean bag chair. Ashe couldn't help but to laugh at him when he was just blankly staring at her without any sound.

"Why are you here…" Kris's face was still pale. The more important question was - What did she hear? 

Jessica ped her bag and took out her notes, "You didn't attend school for 3 days, I thought you were down with some major disease but looking at you now, I guessed I worried for nothing. So brought the notes, hurry up and copy because I want to bring these home."

Kris looked at the pile of notes before shifting his gaze back to Jessica. "Do you have anything to ask me?" He couldn't help but to ask that question. He was certain that Jessica heard something, but he couldn't understand why she was so calm as if nothing happened.

Jessica smiled and asked back, "Do you want me to ask you anything?"

"Yes! Of course I have so many to ask," was actually what Jessica wanted to say but she couldn't seem to get it out of . Although  she seemed calm, but her heart was jumping and skipping and leaping and whatever terms one can think of.

There was a person, a girl, that was very important to Kris, it also proved that the conversation she heard in school was true. Who and how was she related to him? Why did they split up?
She wanted to know so much but she refused to ask because her instincts told her that if she knew the answer, she might lose him. Therefore, she chose to remain silent as if nothing happened. It didn't matter if her own heart is hurt as long as Kris was beside her.

"Mianhe," he buried his face into the bean bag, refusing to show Jessica his sad expression. He used to think that he could move on from the past, but he realised that he was just escaping from reality. That person still exist somewhere deep down in his heart and would always randomly invade his fragile heart. It made Kris felt as if he had betrayed Jessica, her feelings and her trust. Ever since Kris was with her, he was very happy and he believed that he could recover and mend his broken heart. But he didn't know that as long as he was reminded of the past again, pain and sadness will devour his body.

"Wae?" Jessica asked gently. She cupped his face and sat on the carpet with him, forcing him to look into her eyes. "You did something wrong? Did you receive a love letter from someone else?" She smiled, but it was a fake smile because she could see that full expression of his. He definitely didn't want to be reminded of the past because it was the source of his pain and sadness, that was why his initial sparkling chestnut-coloured  eyes had became a dull pair of eyes.

Kris did not utter a word. He only hugged her so tightly that it seemed like he wanted  to use all his strength to hug her.

Jessica silently placed her hand onto his back and could feel him slightly shivering. She knew that Kris was immersed in the pain of the past but she couldn't do anything about it except to see him being devoured by it. She hated that feeling if helplessness because it felt like Kris was drifting further away from her.

"Yah, have you taken enough advantage of me? My clothes are new please don't rub your tears with it," She softly complained and pushed him off.

If he was stuck in the past, then let her pull him back. Whatever happened in the past did not change the fact that he was hers. She refused to see him get stuck in the past and get hurt.

Kris heard her sudden sentence and whatever sadness he had temporarily disappeared. He pinched her face and looked at her gentle face.

"Not everyone can be taken advantage of by me even if they beg me to do so, hurry up and thank Kris the Great."

"Yes, yes, thank you." Jessica felt relieved when he was finally back to his usual self. She stood up and pulled him to the table, "Hurry up and copy the notes, I still need to go home."

"Jebal, how can I do it within a day?" He protested but still started copying.

Jessica ignored his complaints and the thick book caught her attention. She flipped through the pages and realised that it was a movie script. 

"What's this?" Did anyone asked him to be an actor? It wasn't impossible based on his looks.

"Ah, don't mention about that again. My sister sold my precious songs to her company and her boss happened to be good friends with the movie director of that script. He coincidentally heard the song and he wants me to compare a movie soundtrack for him." They also wanted Kris to sing, but he refused to because he didn't want to be a singer; writing songs was only a hobby and a way to earn money.

"That's great," she complimented him. She knew Kris had great songwriting skills, but she didn't expect him to be so exceptional to the extent that people wanted him to write a movie soundtrack.

"What does your sister do?"

"She basically does all aspects in the music industry, she's well known in the indie music industry."

"That's great, I want a sibling too." She had always envied people with siblings because she was a single child, having siblings was something that she could never have in her lifetime.

Kris grinned at her, "Isn't my sister your sister? Take her whenever you need to. But I have to earn you that she isn't as good as you expect her to be."

Jessica impatiently rolled her eyes. The fragile Kris had instantly became a devil that is constantly teasing her. 

"Hurry up, I have a last bus to catch." She knocked his head as a form of punishment for teasing her.

He remained silent and continued copying. In a monent, the room was silent except for the sound of flipping of pages. Jessica suddenly felt bitter upon seeing Kris's view and silently walked towards his balcony. The sky was getting darker but she could still see a Cherry Blossom tree from a far.

"That explains why he had a Cherry blossom scent in his room." She mumbled.

She closed both eyes and feel that gentle wind brushing past her face. The sun was struggling so hard to prevent the arrival of darkness. Despite how hard the sun struggled, darkness still triumphed. It was exactly the situation that Jessica was currently facing. The hidden past of Kris was like the darkness, slowly but surely invading her mind.
