Spring was here. In the deep Cherry Blossom forest, many Cherry blossoms were blooming. Moving on, in Songin High School, there was a most common romance scene taking place under their very own biggest Cherry Blossom Tree (also known as the 
Happiness Tree). It was also a scene that could make people blush and make their heart beat faster.

"I've liked you for a long time, please be my girlfriend."

The shy boy opened his glistening eyes, mustered his courage like Hercules and said out his desires.

As compared to that shy male lead, the female lead on the other hand, was overly calm, showing no emotions or flustering. She had a comforting smile yet a pair of cold eyes. For someone who has been in this scene for so many times, it's not her fault that she wasn't touched or flustered at all.

"Kamsahamnida, but getting into a university or an elite academy is my priority now, I can't be distracted." She said her words and turned to leave, leaving the guy there to mend his own broken heart under the Cherry Blossom tree.

A gentle wind past by and the cherry blossom scent uplifted everyone who was there. Jessica looked up at the branches of the trees; the branches that carried dozens of pink petals. What a beautiful place - to get sad at that place was indeed a waste.

Springtime was when the cherry blossom blooms.

She loved Sakuras, especially the scene of petals falling when it was windy. It was as if the petals were engaged in a dance.
 
Within a few steps, a person jumped out from behind the tree and naturally walked beside her, showing no attempts to cover up the fact that he was eavesdropping.

"What a familiar rejection sentence, you are indeed President Jung for a reason. None of the words changed even after so many years. But jjinja daebak, you received a confession on the first day of the new semester, don't make me envy you! The first confession, received as a year 3 student; keep it up Jessica Jung! Break your personal record!" Kai smiled dubiously.  The only person who has the ability to use the exact same sentence to reject a guy every single time was probably only Jessica.

Jessica was too lazy to even look at him. "Looks like your eavesdropping habit still hasn't changed too." 

 As the school's most attractive and popular Squash Captain, he was already considered lucky not to drown in the girls' drools, yet he still had the time to envy her. She really didn't understand what he was thinking.

Kai analyzed her face with high spirits, it was like he was looking at the most interesting thing in the world. "I really don't know why those poor guys think that you're just so easy to be close with."

Despite knowing that she had never dated anyone these couple of years, they still had a "YOLO" mindset and tested their luck to see if they would be the one to break the trend. He bet that these people felt that there was a higher satisfaction to be the President's boyfriend as compared to being the top in school.

To answer his question for the 100th time, Jessica just flashed her signature smile, the smile that was exactly the reason why she was so popular among the entire school.

Kai raised both of his hands and surrendered at the same time, "I know that you are charismatic, but jebal, don't use it on me, I have goosebumps!" He rubbed his arm and showed a grossed out expression while Jessica removed the petals on her uniform, ignoring his compliment.

She was never a sociable person, and never liked to be close to someone. Even if she was always carrying a smile, she was determined to keep a distance from anyone. With that strong natural instinct, she could easily see through a person's mind and motive. This was the reason why she had built a concrete wall between people, she protected herself in her own castle to prevent her from being hurt by people.

Jessica never had any true buddies since young. Although people really liked to find her to chat, she had never once opened her heart to others. This bright and positive Kai was the only exception. She didn't need to plaster a smile when she was with him because he was the first person to see through her motives.

When she was year 1, she remembered that during the first time they met, he laid on the table, grinning and asking if she was lonely. She believed her expression was weird at that moment, too weird until even Kai's face turned pale, worrying that she was feeling uncomfortable.

So from that day onwards, there was an additional friend by her side, a friend that would always attempt to save her from her loneliness everyday.

They studied in the same school even before high school. Although they weren't in the same class, they still maintained a simple friendship. This was hard for Jessica considering that she wasn't the type to communicate deeply with anyone. Perhaps it was that simplicity that prevented her from immediately drawing a line between him and her. 

Kai was a weird person. Well, at least to Jessica. Knowing him for so long, she obviously knew that he had a simple and cheerful personality. But she simply couldn't understand why this person could know that she wasn't what she seems the first time they met.

"Wae? You finally realized that I'm a handsome person?" Kai caught Jessica staring at him, laughed and tapped on her nose lightly to summon her back to reality. She would only have this dazed expression when he was with her, he didn't know whether to celebrate or to self reflect.

Jessica couldn't help but to laugh lightly. His narcissism was out of the world.

"I am busy today, no time for your narcissistic theory." She waved her hand and tried to gain back the peaceful forest environment.

 Kai got reminded of something. He opened his mouth widely and exclaimed, "OH! I almost forgot, the discipline mistress is looking for her most precious council president. To think that I chanced upon this confession scene when I attempted to find you. Isn't it worth it?"

Kai grabbed her hand and dashed towards the assembly hall without waiting for her to speak.

Jessica frowned lightly, but still allowed him to run like a mad bull while holding her. She couldn't help but to sigh when she saw students looking at them throughout.  People were already speculating that they were dating because they spend a lot of time together, yet that self absorbed Kai didn't feel anything and made more misunderstanding actions, let's hope that there wouldn't be more "accidents" for this new semester…
