Sooyeon was awakened by a call, something unheard by those who slept beside her. This call was not auditory. It was a tug on her soul, something that could not be detected by her family or even her blood partner and twin. Opening her eyes, Sooyeon was met with Taeyeon’s serene sleeping face. The sight made her smile before her expression morph into that of worry.

Gently and discreetly sitting up, untangling Taeyeon’s arms from her figure, Sooyeon got out of bed and wore her velvet robe, cinching it before she slipped her feet into fur slippers. Taking one last glance at her slumbering twin, Sooyeon then checked to see if her youngest sibling sleeping on the other bed had been awakened by her movement.

Soojung’s unmoved figure brought the slightest relief to Sooyeon as she quietly got out of the room and stepped into the empty and dark hallway. A frown ghosted over Sooyeon’s brows upon following the ‘call’ as she moved through the hallowed hall. She stopped in front of a cedar door where she suspected to be the source of what had awakened her.

Hand clasped the knob before it turned and unlatched the door. With a light push, Sooyeon opened it and stepped into the room she had been quite familiar with – Juhyun’s room.

The younger vampire twin found Juhyun seated against the headboard; her long dark hair covering her face. Sooyeon took a step closer to the bed, concern now written in her face.

“Juhyun?” She managed to say as she approached the younger vampire. “Did you call me?”

The door behind Sooyeon closed gently, the lock clicking as a voice behind Sooyeon answered.

“She didn’t. It was me.”

Sooyeon turned to see the werewolf hybrid that had become of Yoona, the hybrid’s eyes glowing bright red in the darkness. Unfazed, the pureblood vampire merely raised a brow.

“Yoona… What brings you here?”

The half-wolf, half vampire grinned as she stalked closer. Juhyun, who sat frozen in her bed, remained mum yet vigilant on how the scene would unfold.

“I have found a cure to what I has been afflicting me,” Yoona replied once she was close enough to the older vampire. “I should have realized it sooner.”

“And what is it?” Sooyeon wondered out loud, curious of Yoona’s answer.

“Your blood.” Yoona said before she lunged forward, catching the older vampire off guard. Sooyeon managed to step back, making the hybrid stumble and reach out to grab Sooyeon’s night gown. Pulling the fabric with force, Yoona was able to bring Sooyeon closer to her.
