Eighty four
ReasonsEighty four
Seung gi was peacefully enjoying his tea while working on some delayed papers. He smiled as she walked into the room. She carefully sat on his lap, her legs dangling off the chair. Those were the clear signs that she was up to something.
“Oppa?” she begun, her lips. “What are the chances you’d walk home from work tomorrow?”
“I fail to see why”
She pouted. “I have an appointment to cut my hair tomorrow, so...can I have the car?”
“Hell no!” he exclaimed
Her eyes widened. “Hell no?” he nodded. “Is this about the oil accident?” she asked. “That totally wasn’t my fault you know, and I turned the engine off immediately so...”
“What are you talking about?” he cut her off.
She stared in incomprehension. “You said I can’t have the car”
“No, I said you can’t cut your hair” he explained. She seemed even more confused. “I disapprove!”
She raised an eyebrow. “Are you serious?”
“Of course I am!”
After a long, long talk about it all afternoon that day, he was finally...considering it. She explained that it’s prone to breaks, and that she wanted to try something new. She promised it won’t be anything crazy.
As night fell, he watched her stepping into their bedroom. He offered his arm and she gave him a kiss as she climbed the bed. Her leg rested over his.
“Baby” she looked up with sleepy eyes. “What oil incident?”

Seung gi glanced at her again. Her hair was being washed at the basin as she waited for her turn at the hairdresser. She convinced him to come with her, so he can be the first one to see her new haircut.
Like most men, going to the beauty salon meant hours of sighing in boredom for him.
“Sir?” he turned to find a young boy offering him some biscuits. He thanked him with a smile. “Who are you waiting for?”
“My girlfriend” Seung gi replied. “No...My fiancé” he couldn’t help but grin as he spoke the words. It felt good to finally call her that.
The boy nodded. “I’m waiting for my mom, but it’s quite fun to be here isn’t it?”
Seung gi could remember he used to think that too when he was a child. All hype was dazzling to him at such an age.
“It always looks fun, that’s how women lure you”
“What are you teaching him?” Suzy asked with a glare as she heard the conversation. Her wet hair was wrapped with a towel.
“Nothing” he tugged on her hand, causing her to sit next to him. “Did you enjoy it?”
She smiled. “Umm, having someone wash your hair is so relaxing”
“You refuse when I offer to do it” he pretended to sulk.
She giggled. “That’s because a peaceful shower is never the only thing on your mind oppa”
She pulled back in surprise when he tried to take off the towel. “Yah! I want to say goodbye” he insisted.
“It grows back oppa” she argued as he drew her closer to him, his fingers running along the length of her hair. She relaxed in his arms. His embrace was far more calming than anything the salon could offer anyway.
He beamed as she pressed her cheek to his neck, obviously enjoying her cuddling. Perhaps the trip to the salon wasn’t all that bad after all.
“Suzy!” a stylish looking young man called her name with a wide grin. She jumped from her seat to walk to his side with an equally wide grin. He stared in confusion.
She turned to him. “He’s park Hyuk, he’s been my hairdresser since I was seventeen” she introduced in excitement.
It was all that bad.
