Forty one
The last few days were stressful for both of them. She was still sick and she had to have an exam with a very upset stomach. He was still a bit stunned with the news. It took a while for them to get over it, but things were normal between them again, especially since she was appreciative of his absolute support.
He decided to do something that will ease their tension a bit. He planned a surprise for her. He took a break from work and bought the tickets. She was on a semester break. It seems very smooth and unplanned for to him. One of the things he learned from her was that the things you spend less time planning turn out really well.
Their destination wasn’t anything too special. It was a simple sea-side village. He imagined she’d love to have some tranquillity. It took around two hours to get there by bus. She was healed yet she got a little bit dizzy on the bus, but overall it went very smooth.
He rented a small house facing the beach. It wasn’t really expensive since it wasn’t the tourism season. It really seemed like everything was working out perfectly. She was amazed as soon as she saw the place. He always admired how she managed to let him know how much all the small things he does meant to her.
As soon as they walked in. she gave him a very tight embrace, so tight he was finding it hard to breath. That was usually her way of saying thanks. “I love it oppa”
“So do I, love” she released her arms around him and gave him a peck to his lips. She broke it to wander into the house almost immediately. It seemed very old-fashioned, that didn’t bother her. The windows were very large, the fireplace was antique and it had a wooden floor.
“Oppa let me help you” she walked closer to him when she noticed he was carrying their luggage.
“You’re insulting my pride” she rolled her eyes and made way for him.
“Don’t blame me when your back pops”
“Pops?” she nodded and he chuckled.
“You can shower first oppa”
“Umm. Lie down a bit”
