That night CL was to have a date with a guy which was set up by Minji. The dinner course was fabulous for someone who has a knack for statistics and trivia.

 

“You know, you are the 50^th woman that I had ever gone out with!” Youngbae stated as he sipped his drink,

 

“Really?! Wow! You went out on dates a lot!” CL didn’t need to act amused by it because she found it interesting that her date keep track of how many dates he has gone to already.

 

“And you are the 48^th woman who have found it unbelievable!” Youngbae smiled as he took out his record book and wrote the record down.

 

“Did you know that...” Youngbae started again and ranted about facts and trivias about endangered microorganisms, species and other facts.

 

CL tried to stay awake, but her date was boring her to sleep like her boring Biology professor back in College. It was like she was relieving it all over again.

 

“You know what? You are the 3^rd.... no make that the 2^nd woman who had actually listened to me thoroughly... thank you” Youngbae stated giving her his signature eye smile... if it wasn’t for his eye smile, CL would have been completely lost from the date.

 

 

“Youngbae... can we stay quiet for a while... I am having a bit of a migraine...” CL felt sorry but she couldn’t help but massage her temple a bit

 

“You are the 10^th woman who has used that line on me...” Youngbae eagerly stated,

 

“I mean it, Youngbae! You don’t want me ranting on you when I have a migraine!” CL stated getting a little bit irritated.

 

“Okay, I’m staying quiet now... would you like me to take you home?” Youngbae asked carefully.

 

CL nodded as she stood up and headed out the restaurant.

 

“You are the first in my record that has...” YOungbae started

 

“Please... YOungbae-ah... stop with those records and all, numbers are literally ringing inside my head now...” CL exclaimed as she plopped herself inside the passenger seat and closed her eyes.

Meanwhile, Baekhyun was enjoying his date with Sulli, he felt like he was being pampered.

 

“Oh hold on... you have some sauce on the side of your mouth... let me get that for you... here!” Sulli stated as she wiped Baekhyun’s side of the mouth.

 

“Thanks!” Baekhyun smiled shyly feeling a bit awkward, because their dinner date was nothing but that.

 

Sulli smiled and was really a nice company... just ignore the too much caring things she does.

 

“Oh... that’s so nice... you have beautiful hands... so cute!” Sulli stated as she held his hands and rubbed them as she then pinched Baekhyun’s cheeks.

 

“Ouch!” Baekhyun stated as he rubbed his cheeks

 

“So cute... just like a little puppy!” SUlli uttered.

 

Baekhyun was seeing his mother through Sulli’s motherly actions, he was beginning to think that he was on a date with his mother rather than with Sulli. Another date down the drain thanks to Chanyeol.

CL has had it with arranged dates and she wanted a breath of fresh air and a break from the stress of the bet. She was busy finishing her reports late at night in the office, it was already late at night and she was still busy in front of her computer typing last minute reports asked by her boss. She was shocked when a voice spoke from behind her.

 

“You are also working late tonight?”

 

“Omo! You gave me a shock... Jiyong-sshi!” CL stated while clutching her chest

 

“Mian... didn’t mean to startle you... it is just a good thing that I saw you... I am afraid working alone at night in this office... with all the stories I heard from the cleaning ladies... I dare not be left here alone” Jiyong shivered as he rubbed his arms together

 

CL chuckled as she found it cute that Jiyong was a scared cat.

 

“Ya... are you laughing at me!? It’s no laughing matter if you see a ghost here... there is no place you can hide! They can pass through walls you know!” Jiyong uttered.

 

CL just stared at Jiyong for the longest time, as if thinking that he must really be kidding.

 

“I kid you not!” Jiyong stated also staring back at her

 

“Don’t come screaming towards my side of the cubicle if you hear or see something here then!” Jiyong smirked as he walked towards his cubicle

 

“Yah! If you are trying to scare me... then... it’s working already!” CL smiled as they continued to finish their reports.

Meanwhile, Baekhyun was in his bar at the office trying to catch up with work he has neglected for the past few days. He was locked up in his office since 4 in the afternoon and hasn’t come down since.

 

Sehun knocked on his door to bring him some snacks.

 

“Thanks... Sehun-ah... are there many people in the bar tonight?” Baekhyun asked as he looked up from the papers he was holding

 

“Neh hyung... even though it’s a weekday... we are still full... but not that packed... it’s understandable though...” Sehun replied as he nodded and went out of the office.

 

Baekhyun sighed and squeezed his eyes shut and leaned his head on the head rest of his chair and drank some juice Sehun brought him.

 

Baekhyun stood up and stretched up abit and looked down below... near the stage... someone caught his eye... she was beautiful and was emitting a strange charisma vibe with her. Baekhyun couldn’t tear his eyes away from her.

 

After finishing eating his food, he decided to go down and meet this one of a kind girl.

 

“Hyung! You finally came out of your shell!” Sehun greeted as Baekhyun nodded and walked towards the stage near where the girl was.

 

Baekhyun was inching closer towards the direction of girl, the girl noticed him nearing their group.

 

“Hi there! Fun night!” the girl greeted as she, together with her friends as she continued to dance.

 

Baekhyun smiled and danced together with the group. He was surprised at how fun he was having together with the girl. Baekhyun slowly inched closer to the girl and whispered in her ear.

 

“Hi... I am Baekhyun... and you are?”

 

The girl looked him for a moment and then switched her attention towards the DJ at the music bar, she nodded towards him as the DJ got the cue and turned up a certain beat...

 

The girl then went up the stage and stood there still looking at Baekhyun who was surprised at what he was seeing.

Everyone in the crowd jammed to the song the girl was singing and even Baekhyun enjoyed it.

 

The girl finished singing and walked towards Baekhyun and said

 

“Hi, nice to meet you... my name is HI” the girl smiled and shook hands with Baekhyun.

 

After their greeting, Hi’s friends were already pulling her out of the bar... Baekhyun refused to let go of her hand and stated.

 

“When will I see you again?” Baekhyun asked

 

“I frequent this bar every weekends...here is my number... see you around!” Hi smiled as she wrote her number on Baekhyun’s palm and ran after her friends and left Baekhyun stunned in his spot.

CL was early in their office after pulling an almost all nighter... she was thankful that Jiyong was there to accompany her.

 

Jiyong greeted CL the minute she entered the office, everyone was shocked that Jiyong greeted CL... Jiyong was the ultimate crush of almost everyone... he was everyone’s ideal type in the office.

 

And during lunch break, Jiyong was staring intently at CL and even joined her at her table during lunch.

 

“What is it with you today?” CL asked curiously

 

“Huh?” Jiyong uttered looking at her questioningly

 

“You have never eaten with anyone, since the day you worked here and now... all of a sudden you are here, eating with me?” CL asked while lowering her head and voice looking around and seeing the amount of stares she was receiving from the female population.

 

“I like you... I like you attitude... is there a problem with it?” Jiyong asked nonchalantly not giving a care in the world

 

“Wha?! Y-you l-like me? As in me? You like me? The hell does that supposed to mean?” CL asked looking confused and lost

 

“I LIKE YOU... plain and simple... in fact... I will allow you to date me this weekend... Saturday, 7pm... right... I will pick you up at your house then... right... it’s a date then!” Jiyong smiled and winked and grabbed his tray and left leaving CL speechless with open.

The following night, Baekhyun was on the lookout for HI... he was at the bar at around 6pm... already monitoring the cameras and looking for a sign that HI was there already.

 

Then at exactly 8pm, there she was... she appeared on screen, entering the bar. Baekhyun stood up and fixed himself up and straightened his shirt and pants. He then went down and met up with HI.

 

And as expected, he enjoyed himself together with her. This time, Baekhyun invited her in one of the private rooms to have a chat with her, it was a good thing that she was alone that night, no friends with her.

 

Baekhyun found a lot of common things with her, they hit it off right from the start. HI would sometimes arch her brows which Baekhyun finds interesting.

 

After a few hours of talking and dancing, HI decided to take off early.

 

“Going already? It’s still early?” Baekhyun asked

 

“I have to go... I can come back this weekend!” HI smiled while roughly raking her hair.

 

“Fine... Saturday night... 7PM! It’s a date then!” Baekhyun smiled as HI waved and disappeared through the crowd.

It was a Friday night and all of the girls were in CL’s house, trying to catch up on the progress of their bet.

 

“So... who is he?” Dara asked while wiggling her eyebrows

 

“Who is who?” CL asked

 

“Oh c’mon... stop pretending like there is nothing when there is something already!!!” Dara insisted

 

“What are you talking about?” CL asked

 

“You haven’t been out on a date for the past days... what is keeping you busy... rather... WHO is keeping you busy then!?” Bom interrogated

 

CL acted coyly... and gave up

 

“FINE! He works in the same company as I am... we work in the same department... there happy?” CL replied

 

“Nope! What is his name? What happened? HOW!” Minji asked as she sat beside CL

 

CL explained to them the happenings of the past few days and everyone was giggling and they were spazzing at how cool he acted in front of CL.

 

“Waaaaahhhh!!! Unnie! He sounds so cool!” Minji uttered

 

“When are we gonna meet him?” Lydia asked

 

“I am having a date with him this Saturday... he is gonna pick me up here in my house...” CL replied

 

“Then... we will be here to give you a makeover... to look your best for the date!” Dara uttered excitedly.

Meanwhile, at the neighbor’s house...

 

“Hey man... I heard CL has a date this Saturday... and he is quite a catch.. works at the same office as with her!” Chen stated

 

“Yeah... according to Bon this might be a winner!” Kris stated as he finished reading a message from his girlfriend.

 

“C’mon guys... don’t underestimate my own power... cause I, myself have a date tomorrow night...  and this might be the perfect date I needed to win the bet!” Baekhyun fist pumped the air

 

“You sound confident!” Chanyeol exclaimed

 

“I met her in my bar... and we really hit it off... and I asked her for a date tomorrow and she said yes! So we will see who will win this time!” Baekhyun replied,

 

“Better give it up now CL... cause I will have an awesome date tomorrow!” Baekhyun thought to himself.

THE BIG NIGHT... SATURDAY NIGHT...

 

“Seriously... when is he gonna show up?” Bom stated impatiently as they arranged CL’s dress for the night.

 

“Oh my god! Is that a blush I am seeing? And is it true that this might be the ONE?!” Lydia exclaimed

 

“I don’t know...” CL released a nervous sigh

 

“It’s settled then... you have won your bet! You have found your MR. Right!” Dara stated happily clapping vigorously

 

“I am not yet sure... but I am going to find out... I won’t hold back and I will enjoy myself tonight!” CL stated determinedly.

 

DING DONG!

 

KYAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHH!!!

 

All the girls chorused as all of them flocked the door to see how handsome this Jiyong guy is.

 

CL then walked to the door with a big smile on her face and opened it and greeted him.

 

“Hi Jiyong... these are my friends.... Lydia, Dara, Bom and Minji... girls... this is Jiyong, my date for tonight!” CL smiled as Jiyong exchanged polite greetings

 

“Are you ready?” Jiyong asked as he offered his arm to CL, CL smiled as they walked towards the car with her friends shouting FIGHTING!!!

Baekhyun met up with HI at the bar at exactly 7PM.

 

“Right on time... Ms. HI” Baekhyun smiled as he offered his arm and opened the car door for her.

 

“Where are we going?” HI asked with a smile

 

“We are going out on a date... a dinner date!” Baekhyun smiled as they drove off to their destination.

 

It was a garden restaurant, it had a nature feel to it and it was really magical and surreal. Everything was perfect. The weather was nice not too hot and not too cold, the food was delicious... the company was also perfect.

 

“So... from the other night... I take it you are a singer?” Baekhyun asked

 

“Um, that is what I dream I would be when I grow up!” HI replied sipping from the glass.

 

“You have a great voice and did you write the song yourself?” Baekhyun wondered as HI nodded, he was slowly admiring different sides to the girl sitting across from him.

 

“What about you then, you are young and look at yourself... you are an owner of one of the hippest bars in town!” HI complimented Baekhyun much to his satisfaction.

 

“Ani... it just so happens that I like what I am doing and I had the funds to do it... so that’s just that!” Baekhyun replied

 

“Still... you are successful! I admire you for that!” HI replied

 

“And what about yourself... you have an amazing voice... a very powerful and soulful one... a unique one at that!” Baekhyun stated with a smile. He was imagining patting himself on the back because he was sure of himself that he has finally found that ONE PERFECT DATE.

 

RING RING RING RING

 

“Oh shoot! I have to answer this... do you mind?” HI looked a bit panicstricken as she quickly stood up and walked away from earshot.

 

Baekhyun nodded but he couldn’t help but overhear an argument about something about a curfew of some sort... he was beginning to worry at HI’s voice, it seems as though she was afraid of something, he looked up at his watch and saw HI walking back to the table.

 

“I hope you don’t mind my asking... why are you so worried about a curfew... it’s only 1 AM?!” Baekhyun asked curiously... HI’s eyes widened in fear as she stood quickly and looked at Baekhyun with alarm.

 

“You have to send me back at the bar... right now... palli!” HI uttered in a panic state

 

“Sure... but why... why are you acting a bit startled?!” Baekhyun was confused

 

“No wonder my dad is furious! He is going to kill me! Damn!”

 

Baekhyun was even more confused

 

“Why do you have a curfew?” Baekhyun asked

 

HI looked at him as though he should already know the reason...

 

“Haven’t I told you? I am only allowed to stay out until 10pm during weekdays and 12mn during weekends... I am being punished for driving without a license!” HI stated as she looked at him straight

 

“Wait! What?! You mean to tell me that you are a minor?!” Baekhyun stated almost shouting grabbing lightly HI’s arm, he couldn’t believe the absurdity of the situation.

 

“Hey... I turn 18 this year... so I won’t be a minor anymore!” HI uttered in her defense as Baekhyun gave her a ride back to the bar where he saw HI’s father waiting outside the bar, with his arms crossed in front of him and tapping his foot, waiting for his daughter to appear.

 

Baekhyun saw HI pleading to her father as she carefully got in the car and drove off. Baekhyun could only shake his head as he suddenly felt the urge to bang his head on a wall.

CL on the other hand was having the time of her life with her charming date. They enjoyed dancing and jamming to the sounds of the bar they went to.

 

“I have never had this much fun in days!” CL exclaimed as they sat down to rest from dancing.

 

“Yeah... same here!” Jiyong stated as he handed her a drink to cool themselves off.

 

Jiyong then handed CL some tissue to wipe off her sweat on her forehead, since CL was afraid to wipe off her make up, Jiyong volunteered to wipe it for her, CL blushed at the gesture and the close proximity of his face from hers.

 

“Thank you for asking me out!” CL stated with a smile

 

“Thank you for agreeing to go out with me... really, out of all the female co-workers we have in the office... it is you that really caught my eye!” Jiyong stated with that signature boyish smile of his.

 

CL blushed as she was about to drink from one of the glasses on the table, Jiyong grabbed it away from her and stopped her from drinking it.

 

“Be careful... it’s fizzing when it’s not supposed to fizz... someone might have put something in there... c’mon let’s go grab some fresh air outside!” Jiyong smiled as he ushered CL out of the bar.

 

CL was thankful at how gentlemanly Jiyong was to her. They ended up walking across the street and grabbing some coffee.

 

CL didn’t notice it at first but at some point, during their whole stay at the al fresco coffee shop, some guys were making eye contact with Jiyong. They were not girsl... but GUYS... BOYS... MEN...

 

What the hell does that mean?

 

CL couldn’t help it, so she asked what she feared the most...but she was beaten by Jiyong...

 

“CL... look over there... do you think that guy is hot?” Jiyong asked as he tucked his loose hair behind his ear,  CL already got her answer.

 

“Okay... STOP! I have to make something clear!!” CL said as she had enough of all the confusions...

 

“Jiyong... are you gay?”

 

Jiyong blinked a few times... then after a moment, he smiled and nodded.

 

“Ok... that explains it then! At first I thought I have finally found the perfect guy... my MR. Right... but you turned out to be someone who is also looking for the same one I am also looking for... and you might have a higher possibility of hooking up with someone compared to me!” CL explained

 

“Don’t worry about that... I am still your friend... the reason I asked you out is because, I want to be your friend... and don’t worry about Mr. Right... love comes in mysterious ways... you might not know it... you might not expect it... but it will definitely come!” Jiyong smiled and gave CL an affectionate hug.

 

CL accepted Jiyong’s friendship as they both enjoyed the rest of the night talking about men and the gorgeous hunks inside the bar.

Sunday Morning...

 

Baekhyun was at CL’s kitchen preparing a breakfast with CL still sleeping soundly... (*remember Baekhyun has a spare key of CL’s back door)

 

CL was yawning and stretching her arms up as she walked sleepily towards her kitchen, she wasn’t surprised to see Baekhyun tinkering something in her kitchen, that is how used to each other they were already.

 

“Morning!” Baekhyun greeted cheerfully

 

“Morning.” CL replied flatly

 

“Coffee?” Baekhyun asked pouring some on CL’s mug

 

“Ung... thanks!” CL sipped the coffee slowly

 

“You have to wake yourself already... it’s already 9am... we have a mass to attend to at 10am!” Baekhyun stated looking at his watch.

 

CL’s eyes widened at the realization that she got up so late! So she hurriedly went back up stairs and bathed and changed in record time.

 

“It seems like she enjoyed her date last night... huh?” Baekhyun thought to himself looking up at the stairs, waiting for CL to come down.
