DON’T GO- SUHO PART 3

The festivities started with the Guardians making their entrance from the gates of the town followed by their 12 elementals all dressed in cloaks, which gave off a mysterious aura.

                                                                

“Hyung, do we really need to wear these? It’s hot?!” Xiumin complained as he leaned towards Micky

 

“Yes... it’s tradition!” Micky replied as he sat on the chair designated for them.

 

“At least we get to enjoy the celebration tonight!” Lay fist pumped in the air

 

“Is she here?” Suho stretched his neck and looked over the crowd for a certain individual.

 

O===o====o

 

“Waaaahhhh!!! This is awesome!” Dara uttered with wide eyed admiration at the decorations around the area... the lights looked like they were fireflies

 

“C’mon unnies! Let’s go over there!” Minji pointed out towards the crowd where there was a play being held.

 

“I am hungry... I think I’ll check on the stalls over there!” Bom pointed to the other side

 

“I’ll go with you, I am hungry too!” Dara hooked her arm over Bom as Chaerin and Minji went to the direction of the play.

 

They were dressed as fairies and used their wings as part of their costume. Everyone was looking at them because of the beauty and their regal presence.

 

Everyone was having fun because they are celebrating a thanksgiving... a freedom and a life away from the Dark Forces that once ruled the Western Section of the DBSK district.

 

Suho saw Bom amidst the crowd. The moment he saw him, it was as if the world stopped from spinning and everything was in a stand still...

 

“Tao Tao... stop it... don’t play like that!” Suho uttered as he glanced at his back seeing that Tao was playing with his TIME CONTROL power,

 

“What gege... I thought it added drama to it... is she that butterfly that Yixing gege was talking about?” Tao walked towards Bom who was at a stand still holding on to a piece of hot bun with both hands.

 

“Neh.” Suho nodded as he walked towards her and stood in front of her staring at her

 

“Gege not too close... you look creepy! She’s beautiful!” Tao exclaimed as he then snapped his fingers as time came back and everyone went on to their usual way.

 

Bom was shocked to see Suho standing in front of her that she dropped her buns,

 

“Omo! Suho! Where did? How did? Omo! Hi!” Bom stuttered confused at the situation.

 

Suho smiled and found it really funny to see Bom so flustered, he then saw probably a friend of hers approaching her

 

“Bommie-ah there you are! Oh! Hey! Hi! Are you the shining man?” Dara stated pointing towards Suho

 

“Shining man?” Suho repeated as she looked questioningly towards Bom who was blushing

 

“Suho this is my friend Dara... Dara this is Suho... yes, the shining man!” Bom stated.

 

Then music was to be heard playing around the square, Suho asked Bom for a dance, much to the delight of her friend Dara who literally pushed her towards Suho.

 

“This is a bit awkward, don’t you think?” Bom uttered as they danced together to the slow music being played by the band.

 

“Ani... this is not weird... we are two people who like each other who are dancing... there is nothing weird with that” Suho replied

 

“Um, it is weird... your friends are looking at us... it looks like they are planning on eating us!” Bom stated pointing towards the direction of the 11 elementals standing stiffly among the crowd staring at the two of them dancing, Suho then gestured for them to cut it out, the 11 then smirked and dispersed.

 

“You have to forgive them... they are so used to staring and looking like that... for intimidating purposes... aish... I’m sorry, really!” Suho sighed

 

“You were right!” Bom blurted out all of a sudden

 

“Right about what?”

 

“About you guys wearing cloaks... you look like hermits!” Bom laughed at what she said Suho looked hopeless and then smiled back at her.

 

“So... you are dressed as what? As a fairy?” Suho asked as he twirled Bom around to see her whole costume

 

“Yes... so that we can use our wings as props!” Bom stated while flipping her wings abit for an added effect.

 

“Your wings... the pattern of your wings are really beautiful and they have different colors!” Suho stated in admiration.

 

“Thanks!” Bom uttered shyly as she tucked a loose hair to her ear.

 

“Hyung, if you hog the girl’s attention all to yourself that would be unfair to all of us!” Kai uttered as he suddenly appeared beside Suho

 

“Omo!” Bom uttered from shock of his sudden appearance

 

“Go away Kai! There are alot of girls around here... go pester other people!” Suho brushed away Kai, then came Sehun

 

“Hyung... who is she? Hi, I am Sehun... I have the power of wind... see?” Sehun uttered as he shown her a small gust of wind that touched her cheek

 

“Yah! Stop sending wind kisses!”Suho hit Sehun’s arm as he put a protective arm around Bom

 

“Hello! Must you really dance with him only?” D.O. asked looking at Bom

 

“Technically... no” Bom stated, then DO squeezed in between them and danced with Bom

 

“Don’t worry hyung... I’ll be just a second!” DO exclaimed as he whisked Bom away from Suho.

 

“Be careful with her! Yah! DO! I’m warning you!” Suho shouted as he saw them dancing towards the center of the square.

 

“You guys really like to bully Suho” Bom stated while shaking her head.

 

“It’s not that... it’s just he is easier to bully than the others hehehehehe, he doesn’t get angry as in really angry with us!” DO replied as they danced

 

“Cheongmal?! Then what is his role then in your group if he is easy to bully?” Bom wondered

 

“He is our leader... believe it or not!” DO replied with his brow arched up

 

“Whoa! Really? How come?” Bom asked in surprise

 

“He seems like he can be easily swayed, but... no, he has a very firm resolve. He listens to us well, he knows us very well, he knows how to lead us and utilize our powers to its potential, where we are best fitted. He is a good hyung! A very caring one!” DO answered then as if he realized something, he then added

 

“Don’t tell him I told you that, I’ll never hear the end of it!” DO rolled his eyes as he saw Suho coming near them

 

“Your time is up... enough!” Suho stated as he frowned at DO then smiled at Bom.

“You really are freaky scary hyung... stop with that kind of look, it gives me goosebumps!” DO shuddered as he rubbed his arms and bowed to Bom and walked away.

 

“Let him off the hook, he is good... he had nothing but praises for you!” Bom smiled as she pulled him from the crowd.

 

Away from the noise and lights, they went walking down the shore, as the waves lightly touch their feet as they walked and gaze up at the night sky.

 

“Sometimes, people are used to seeing the stars in the sky, that they take it for granted...  just like the people around us... we tend to take them for granted, and we will only know their importance once they are gone... that is what I always hear everytime I visit friends or family of the souls I carry... the whispers of what might have been, what they should have been... regrets, it’s sad!” Bom stated while looking up at the sky blanketed by the twinkling of the stars.

 

“It’s because people are too busy living their life to notice about other people  around them, sometimes you need that one blow for you to realize how to value other people in your life.” Suho stated joining Bom looking up at the sky.

 

“Suho, do you have regrets?” Bom asked looking sideways towards Suho

 

“Hmm? Well, I know I’ll regret this later... but better regret the things you have done rather than regret the thing you haven’t done!” Suho smirked then quickly gave Bom a peck on the cheeks.

 

“Yah! That’s cheesy!” Bom punched Suho’s left arm in a joking manner

 

“Ouch! Do you have steel knuckles? You look small but you pack a punch!” Suho rubbed his arm as they stood up and decided to go back to the festival.

 

After some games and celebrations, the 4 butterflies decided to retire for the night, Suho offered to see them home, together with DO and Kai, who willingly volunteered just to tease their hyung.

 

Suho was walking side by side with Bom, while DO, Chaerin and Dara were talking animatedly about fireworks and Kai and Minji were silently just walking side by side.

 

Suho and Bom were behind of the group by a great distance, they were having a great time just enjoying the silence. Then Suho paused and...

 

“I have never seen someone as beautiful as you, are you real?” Suho uttered as he stared into her eyes, Bom blushed at the remark and lowered her head.

 

“You know you really sound cheesy when you are like that!” Bom teased, as they were nearing the sanctuary...

 

DO and Kai came running and was about to tease the two again

 

“Hyung... don’t do anything I wouldn’t do!” Kai uttered giving a teasing look at Suho then disappeared

 

“Hyung, FIGHTING! Yah, Kai wait for me!” DO ran after Kai who was teleporting here and there.

 

“They really are a handful!” Bom laughed, “Suho, thank you for a wonderful evening... I will always keep this moment in my heart, so that I will never forget it!” Bom smiled as she pointed out to a firefly that flew above them.

 

“Guide me... take me together with you to the place where you live. Even if the world ends, I’ll follow from behind you, so please don’t go out of my sight. Even when the morning comes, don’t disappear. This walk that I’m dreaming, you’re my only beautiful butterfly.” Suho said as he closed the distance between them and the distance between their lips no more.

 

Days passed by with Suho and Bom spending almost every day together, Suho would always wait for Bom after her visits and meet each other at the falls where they first met.

 

They would always hike up the mountain and enjoy the scenery and Bom would always show Suho her wings and sometimes sing for him.

 

Micky also asked Suho to keep tabs of the abnormal amount of souls that enter the underworld. Everyday Bom’s load was getting heavier and heavier, which worries Suho, since he can see the difference and the tiredness etched in Bom’s face.

 

“It seems as though your visits are becoming heavier and heavier” Suho noticed as he combed through Bom’s hair, while she laid her head on his lap

 

“Yes, there are a lot of souls entering the underworld, our HEAD is already losing his mind over it... if this keeps up... a lot of the butterflies would disappear, because there is only so much that we can carry ourselves” Bom replied as she closed her eyes enjoying the feeling of Suho’s hand her hair.

 

Later that evening, when Suho came back from meeting Bom, he saw that Lay and Xiumin were out preparing a bonfire.

 

“What’s up?” Suho asked nodding towards the pile of wood

 

“Hyung wanted to have a bonfire, so we are setting it up” Lay uttered as he busied himself piling the blocks of wood into a neat pile.

 

The four men gathered around the fire and toasted some marshmallows enjoying the night breeze.

 

“Just like when we were kids, when we go out camping... roasting marshmallows!” Suho uttered

 

“What? Do you want me to play my guitar and sing KUMBAYA?” Lay jested which earned him a round of laughter from the guys.

 

“Suho, I need you to come with me tomorrow, we need to present our observation to the other guardians, we are meeting them at the Central section, first thing in the morning.” Micky uttered as he stared at the flames created by their bonfire

 

“Hyung, according to Bom, their load has been doubled, which means a lot of deaths have been occurring. That is really alarming!” Suho said out of concern.

 

The next morning Micky and Suho went on their way early in the morning. Just when the sun was about to rise.

 

O====o====o

 

It was dawn, the whole sanctuary of the butterflies were readying themselves for their visits, when all of a sudden they were the ones being visited... by the DARK FORCES.

 

A huge army, went and attacked the sanctuary, destroying everything in their path. They were very thorough in going through the rooms of the sanctuary, as if looking for something or someone.

 

Bom, Dara, Chaerin and Minji heard the commotion and took a peek outside their room, they saw that 4 dark entities were headed their way. They prepared to attack what was to come through their door. Bom was at the entrance of their room to lunge the attack first.

 

The moment their door opened, Bom lunged forward and kicked the two dark entities out of the room, as soon as she regained her footing, the two other dark entities gave her a blow to the stomach and to her face, she was startled by it but Dara and Minji then came to her rescue as they both took care of kicking and punching the two other entities, while Chaerin helped Bom up.

 

They ran out of the room and went out of the sanctuary, they were welcomed by another group of dark entities.

 

Bom then freed herself from Chaerin’s hold as she ran forward and flew into the air and did a side kick towards two dark entities and then landed a punch to the chest to the other making a way for the others to pass through.

 

Dara then grabbed the arm of the dark entity in front of her and pushed it to the side and kicked it from the back.

 

Minji then jumped and turned around as she did a roundhouse kick to the head of the other dark entity

 

While Chaerin was punching the daylights out of the other dark entity, when they finished fighting off their opponents, they saw Bom being ganged up on by 4 dark entities. They were kicking her and punching her, no care for what she is or who she is.

 

“Unnie!” Chaerin shouted as she jumped up and kicked the nearest entity off of her, followed by Dara who pried the other entity away from Bom and Minji then kicked the other two to the side.

 

Dara then helped Bom up and decided to transform themselves and flew off. When they were looking back to the sanctuary that used to be their home... it was no more... it was full of smoke, being engulfed in flames.

 

There was only one place they could feel safe... they all flew to the direction of the Western section’s headquarters.

Xiumin was an early riser, once he got up from the bed, he went to the kitchen to prepare their breakfast, he remembered that Micky and Suho went out early so he has only to prepare breakfast for two.

 

He decided to make some pancakes. As he was making the batter, he saw Lay coming out of the room.

 

“Morning!” Xiumin greeted as Lay was still half asleep, scratching his eyes and yawning

 

“What’s for breakfast hyung?” Lay asked as he positioned himself in one of the stools in the counter facing the kitchen

 

“Pancakes!” Xiumin replied as he raised the bowl of batter showing it to Lay.

 

When they were successfully placing the pancakes in the plate, they both heard a loud thud on their front porch.

 

The two slowly inched their way towards the door, when Lay was about to take a peek at the glass window, a bloody hand greeted and startled him.

 

“Hyung! It’s the butterflies! Open it!” Lay cried out as he hurriedly stood up to check on who was bleeding!
