“Ah, I’m so hungry I feel like dying,” Ye Eun moaned as she clutched her flat tummy exaggeratingly. “Let’s grab something to eat in the café down there.”

“Good idea. It’s midday already... Ah, hungry!” Krystal said, also rubbing her stomach. “After listening to ______’s story, my energy drained, unnie made me too excited!”

“Okay then, Krys. You’re the youngest here, right? Go buy some food for us, we’ll be waiting here,” Ye Eun instructed.

Krystal’s pretty eyes instantly widened, objecting the older girl’s idea. Aw, noooooooo. “I’ll go with Krystal!” I snapped. “Duh Ye Eun, how could you let her go alone?”

I nodded in agreement while Krystal flashed a grin in victory. Ye Eun pouted, but a snap second later, she approached the maknae and softly said, “Come on then baby girl, sister is going with you. Taeyeon unnie and ______, just wait here. We won’t be long~”

HUH? “HUH?” In a flash, Ye Eun and Krystal headed out downstairs, leaving me with only Taeyeon in the room. HUH? Taeyeon nodded, still wearing that cute, naive pout on her face. “Yeah. Lie. Did you lie to them? What could you possibly get from this lie?”

I was not even sure that Jung Soo would allow me to tell this to her, but I did not care anymore at this point. “I didn’t lie.” I tried so hard to sound calm and composed. “Why would I want to lie to my best friends?”

The girl sitting beside me looked surprised, she seemed to not get the answer she hoped for. Her eyebrows creased as she said, “Really? You’re saying the truth?”

I stared at her in confusion. “Well, if unnie refuses to believe, it’s fine with me...”

“No, no,” Taeyeon quickly denied. “I didn’t mean that way. It’s just... if what you said was true, then it hardly made sense.”

Is she saying that it is simply impossible for me to date someone like Jung Soo? I felt offended somehow. She barely knew me, yet told me all this? “Which part of it hardly made sense?” I challenged her.

“You’re not his type. You’re not oppa’s type...,” Taeyeon said, taking a look at me from top to toe. “You’re not Jung Soo oppa’s type at all.”

Oh jeez, _______, chill. Take a deep breath in. “Really? I don’t think that certain type will determine whom someone will end up with though.” Come on, Jung Soo himself was not my type either! We were munching on fish and chips (it tasted nyummmmmmy!) when my phone rang so loudly. I quickly took it before anyone had the chance to take it away from me. Aargh, I groaned mentally as I read the caller ID. Why now?!

Krystal and Ye Eun glanced at each other before they glanced at me and knowingly grinned. “Ahem,” Krystal cleared in purpose. “Why aren’t you answering it? You want me to help you?”

I left it unanswered while the others began to suspiciously look at me. “Unnie, it might be important,” Sulli said.

“JUNG SOO HYUNG INSTRUCTED US TO SAY THIS TO YOU; SARANGHAEEEEEEEEE~” OH NOES. That was mix of Donghae’s, Ryeowook’s, Henry’s, Eunhyuk’s and Sungmin’s voices. OMONA, THESE KIDS. WHY.

“Oppa...,” Sulli was the first one to say something. “Donghae oppa, is that you?”

“HUH?” The kids on the other line got confused as they did not hear what they expected to hear. “This is not _______’s phone?” Henry asked in nervousness. "Was that Sulli?"

Those confused girls faced me, demanding an explanation.

Ye Eun and Krystal quietly giggled as I let out a heavy sigh. This is going to be long. But before I explained anything, I glanced at Taeyeon, giving her a ‘See-I-Didn’t-Lie’ look in utter satisfaction. Unexpectedly, she also smirked, ‘I-Didn’t-Either’.
