A stepmother and a "brother". That is my family.

   My mom died when I was about 2 years old, but no one ever told me how. My dad married this widow, Jung Hee Yeon, who was pretty nice and kind at first, but, as soon as my dad passed away after a fiery car crash last year, she became this witch I can't even call mom. Not that I want to anymore, but it's a habit and it's hard to stop calling her 'mom'. I was shocked because of her sudden change of behaviour towards me, but now I'm used to it. There's no one in the world that can replace your real mother.

   Jung Hee Yeon has a son, a real one, Jung Il Hoon. She treats him as if he is as precious as a huge diamond, and as fragile as glass. Not that I disagree. He is actually the only reason why I haven't run away from this hell I call home.

   Choi Jun Hong, aka Zelo, is my best friend. He is the one that can easily make me smile and the one who understands me the most. People say we look funny together, because of our height difference, but I don't really care. He is overprotective towards me because of my height and, well, I feel kind of safe when I'm with him.

   Jung Dae Hyun is a childhood friend. We would always play together, travel together, and do everything together, but for the past 2 years his dad has been calling me "daughter-in-law" and telling us to go out together. He even rented a house for the two of us during our past vacation. We would always sleep together as children, even now it would be okay, as we are like sibilings, but our relationship is getting awkward. Ever since his dad started talking about us getting married in the near future, we are not as close as before.

   My name is Kim Rika. Half Japanese, half Korean, 16 years old, 4'11", light brown wavy hair. There's not much you should know about me.

   I was born in Japan, but when my mom died, my dad decided to go back to his home country. I grew up, believing I was loved by everyone around me. That was partially true. For now, the only one who showed her true colors was my stepmother. Hopefully she'll be the only one until the day I die.

   I am treated like a slave at home, so I consider myself the asian Cinderella. Will I be able to live happily ever after ?
