So I won’t hesitate no more, no more.
It cannot wait, I’m yours.
There’s no need to complicate.
Our time is yours.
This is our fate, I’m yours.
Daehyun’s POV
“We're here!” I announced proudly with my arm slung around Ji Hyo’s shoulder as we both walked into the coffee shop.
“Dae-Dae!” Himchan hyung chirped as he waved furiously from behind the counter. He gave him an eye smile.
“Hey! I’m here too, you know,” Ji Hyo faked a pout and said.
“What are you guys doing here?” Yongguk hyung made his way towards us with a tray of cakes in his hand and his signature gummy smile playing on his lips.
“We were hungry,” I replied as I reached for a slice of cake but Yongguk hyung instantly swatted my hand away.
“Nu-uh. You have to pay for ’em like normal customers,” he shook his head.
“But – but – but —” I started to protest.
“Come on, Daehyunnie oppa. Let’s go sit there and order,” Ji Hyo, who was talking to Himchan hyung, turned to me and pointed at two seats by the window that were facing each other.
Instantly, all protests that were on my mind vanished and all I thought about were having cake with my girlfriend. “Okay, then, let’s go!” I grinned stupidly at her and nodded.
“Aish, he’s so in love,” I heard Himchan hyung tell Yongguk hyung in a dreamy voice and Yongguk hyung only chuckled.
“Yah! I heard that!” I shouted from my seat. And yet, I couldn’t help but blush.
“Aigooo! He’s blushing! OMO! OMO! Look at him! Jung Daehyun is blushing!" Himchan hyung hyperventilated.
Ji Hyo laughed happily as she reached out and poked my blushing cheeks. “Why are you blushing?” she asked.
“I – I’m not,” I tried to deny it as I turned my focus on the large slice of cheesecake Yongguk hyung placed in front of me.
“Don’t lie~” Ji Hyo sang as she burst into fits of giggles.
Damn. Even the sound of her giggling made my heart beat faster.
“Stop being so perfect, aigoo,” I mumbled under my breath as bit my lower lip to keep myself from smiling.
Taking a spoonful of my cheesecake, Ji Hyo put it in and gave me an innocent eye smile.
“Bad move, Ji Hyo, bad move,” Himchan hyung, who was spying on us all this while, warned. He shook his head to add measure.
“Why?” Ji Hyo tilted her head cutely and blinked.
Mentally fanboying over my own girlfriend’s cuteness—yes, my girlfriend — I too tilted my head curiously and waited for Himchan hyung’s reply.
“Because Dae-Dae here never shares his cheesecake. So prepare yourself for ‘ahjumma Dae’ to start lecturing you,” Himchan said with a look of seriousness.
“But he’s not saying anything,” Ji Hyo’s eyebrows pinched together in confusion as she stole another bite from my cheesecake.
“Yah! Ahjumma Dae?!” I exploded as I propped my hands on my waist.
“See? See? See?” Himchan hyung smirked victoriously.
“You don’t mind me eating your cheesecake, do you, Daehyunnie oppa?” JiHyo asked worriedly.
Ruffling her hair and then quickly fixing it back because I knew she didn’t like it when people mess her hair up, I replied, “Of course not, JiJi-yah! In fact, open your mouth. I want to feed you.”
Extracting a large amount of cake using my spoon, I carefully fed Ji Hyo and even wiped the excess cream from the corner of her full lips.
“Next time, I’ll kiss it away,” I winked flirtatiously at her causing Ji Hyo’s chubby cheeks to turn to a shade of bright crimson.
“It’s official. Our Daehyun is in love," Himchan hyung swooned dramatically, clasping his hands and pretended to fall over the counter.
“Yah! Go back to work, Himchan!" Yongguk hyung barked.
“But look at how out of character Dae-Dae is being!”
Even Yongguk hyung couldn’t help but chuckle at that statement because it was true. But I didn’t mind. I was out of character.
But I didn’t care if I was being silly.
All I cared about at that very moment was me spending time with that most amazing and beautiful girl in my eyes.
Ji Hyo.
