The next morning, you saw Taecyeon's car in front of your house and were happy he was here. you quickly get out and entered his car

"annyeong oppa~!!" you beamed

"hi~ sorry for yesturday, i was busy with the guys..." he apologized

"it's okay, i met Minho oppa on the way back to my house" you didn't tell about the fight part

"Minho?"

"hmm... i met him when i took the wrong class the other day"

"ah.." he just said and drove. he was quite surprised to hear you were friend with him.

as arrived at school, Minho welcomed you, hugging you. it was still awkward to know he was your cousin...

"what do you think you're doing!" you heard Taecyeon yell from his car and went to you, grabbing your arm and pulling you next to him

"just having a talk with-"

"i don't even wanna know it" Taecyeon said and went inside the building, pulling you with him

"yah, oppa, what's wrong with you!" you pushed him and he released you. your arm was red and hurt

"don't go close to-" he looked at your arm "sorry..." he said and looked away. seeing him only saying sorry and nothing else made you angry. you sighed and get out of the building, running back to Minho to apologize. Taecyeon was looking at you from the 2nd floor's window and sighed

"what does he have that i don't to make her stick with him...?" he wondered.

you spend the day with Minho and everything went well. at the end of the day, you were back with Taecyeon only because he explained you the whole story with her ex girlfriend and Minho's sister. you understood him and went to your home.

~~~~~ 5 years later ~~~~~

it was your last year as a NY University student and you were ready to prepare for your exams and after that, become a doctor. your dream was near and you were so happy knowing that. the past few years went by really fast. there was only a few times when you would fight with one of your 2 friends but it was fine. Taecyeon chose to be a dance teacher with his friends. Minho wanted to go back to Korea and be a police officer there. because it was his hometown. It was almost the holidays and you were excited as ever: this was the first time you'd see your brother in 5 long years. you didn't know what to wear, what to say, what to do, and eventually, how to feel toward Lay. All these years, you were too busy with school so you didn't care about anything else but studies. but now that it was holidays and you'd come back to korea, you felt different.

Taecyeon didn't know you were going back to Korea for the holidays. He thought he was the only one leaving, but he was going to leave for a long time in Australia and wouldn't come back after at least 7 years. you didn't want him to know you were leaving one day before he will. so you went to his home just like every week ends. he was surprised to see you coming this early. you really wanted to cry because today was going to be your last day together and he didn't even knew it.

"oppa..." you started

"what"

"what will you do ... if this was our last day ?" you asked

"what~? why do you ask?"

"nothing, just to know..."

"well you scared me! don't worry, i'll come back here everytime i have the occasion! that means holidays..." he winked "we'll still meet each other at least 4 times a year" he said and patted your head

But i won't be there anymore...

you sighed and enjoyed your last day together because you'd have to leave for Korea the next morning. you had lots of fun together and when he drove you back to your home, you got off the car and turned to face him

"bye oppa~!" you sang, trying to not cry

"bye~ Chan-" he looked at you

"ah, oppa! here" you cut him and handed him a little box

"what's that?"

"i forgot to give you that yesturday when i came to your house, don't you remember?"

"ani..."he said and took a look at the box

"anyway, bye ~ take care, have a good flight! i'm going to miss you so much!!!" you spoke at the speed of light and he just stood there, with the box in his hand

"erm... okay..." he said and drove off.

when he reached his house, he immediately opened the box. there was a necklace and a ring, with a note

"Annyeong oppa~! ^_^

I just wanted to give you these gift because you deserve it. and also because that's the only thing i found to apologize for not being able to be with you tomorrow... because i'll be on a pane back to Korea! SORRY for saying that only now!!! i couldn't find the right timing to tell you that, so i'm saying it now. During these past 5 years, you were the first one to come to me and talk to me, to take care of me, and to ... well, did everything for me. thank you so much oppa! you can be mad at me for leaving without telling you, i'll understand that. please take care of you and become a good dance teacher! i'll look foward to you! ;)

Chanjae-ah, i already know you leave tomorrow morning, pabo-yah...

he put the note in his drawer and put on the jewels. then he looked at the ring. there was a thing graved on it : Taecyeon Fighting!

he smiled again and looked at his empty room and his luggages in his living room, and sighed. No one knew about it, but he loved you. you were the only one he loved after his ex's death. he couldn't believe it at first, but then Minho talked to him and since they were closer now, he told him about Chanjae. Minho couldn't promise him to not say anything since Promises are meant to be broken, so he nodded at the end. all this time, Taecyeon was trying hard to tell you how he felt but he didn't managed to. he tried until today, when he drove you home, but couldn't do it.
