Myungsoo POV

I was super shocked when i heard a voice i didn't recognize suddenly shout "Daebak" when we were about to kiss. IU must have been shocked too because she jumped a little and we both looked at the door which was widely open, and saw a Baekhyun covering his eyes

"Sorry!" he said and quickly ran away.

Aish! This fellow~

IU chuckled and let out a little

"Kyopta~"

I looked at her with a disbelief face

"'Kyopta'?!" i raised an eyebrow and she nodded her head, looking at me.

Right, i'm not cute...

she chuckled again and i looked at her, pouting

"why are you laughing" i asked

"oppa ... are you jealous?"

"what?! jealous?!..."

she chuckled again

"don't worry, you're cuter~ "

i tried to not smile like an idiot but i guess i failed since she laughed and put her hands on my burning cheeks so i was only looking at her

"Oppa, don't be jealous~" she sang and i looked away

"i'm not" i sheepishly said and there was a silence for a while, then i looked at her

"where were we again?" i asked her

"huh?"

"where were we before that guy interrupts us..." i smirked and again leaned closer to her face

Your POV

So Lay "really really really" insisted on coming with me to the restroom just to make sure i won't be lost in the hospital. even though i could see very clearly now, he still wants to come with me everywhere i go... when we came back to my room, he suddenly put his hands on my eyes and told me to trust him. then i heard the door open and we stepped in, then he removed his hands and I gasped in shock. i didn't recognized my room, there was just so many decorations, balloons and .... and a cake! there was a cake!!! and at the ceiling they hanged a big "HAPPY 19TH BIRTHDAY CHANJAE" sign. i didn't know they prepared so much in just a few minutes and started to cry in joy. everyone was here, except IU and Myungsoo.

I guess he still didn't wake up... poor him, and poor IU who has been waiting for him to wake up for two days now... you still didn't know they were enjoying their time together

They sang me the happy birthday song and i blew the candles, they put a hat on me and we played with the cake. it started with Baekhyun (of course). he  threw the cake's cream at me but i avoided it and it landed on Lay's cheek. he was surprised but quickly took another piece of cake and threw it at Baekhyun who turned his face and it went on Kai's back, it soon became a cake war... i was also trying to avoid the pieces of cake who were thrown at me. i was laughing so hard when i saw Chanyeol oppa trip on his own and fell on his . i opened my door so that i could be out of the room when i saw Lauren, and my smiled suddenly turned into a sad face. she was lying on a bed, lead to somewhere by 3 nurses.

"We have to operate now or we'll lose her" one of them said

"doctor! doctor! please save her!" i heard her parents yell and the doctor came at her bed running.

"go inside the operation room, now" he seriously said to the nurses and they rushed in.

everything happened so fast... i didn't feel the tears running down my cheeks, nor my really fast beating heart. i just know i fell on my knees

Lauren ... why now...?

Lay POV

I was so busy throwing cakes at everyone i didn't even noticed Chanjae's getting out of the room. it took me a while to see she wasn't in the room anymore and i went out to look for her, but it wasn't hard to find her. she was there, right in front of the door, crying out every tears she had

"Chanjae! what happened?!" i kneeled down and put an arm around her waist and making her stand up. i sat her on a chair and she still cried. i saw she couldn't talk anymore so i hugged her as tightly as i could and patted her back

"sssshhhh~ it's okay, i'm here" i whispered

a few minutes later, she calmed down and i released the hug

"Lauren..." she said

"who?"

"Lauren~" she said just like a crazy person looking for someone. it was really scary

"who's Lauren?"

"The little girl on the 3rd floor..."

"so...?"

"she's gonna die...today" she said and started to cry again.

I didn't know what to say since i didn't know her... she was crying for a little girl she met at the hospital...?

seeing me not saying anything to comfort her, she said

"you can't understand oppa" she then suddenly stood up and walked away. i decided it was best to let her alone for a while since , well ... apparently i 'couldn't understand'...

I'd really like to understand though ... I don't have a lot of time now... I have to leave soon, Chanjae...

I sighed and went toward the rooftop, because i didn't feel like party now. i let the guys play in the room.
