~~~~~ at the hospital ~~~~~

Lay POV

This isn't happening. just 12 hours before, we were cuddling each other while sleeping... she was in my arms, with her normal body temperature, breathing heavily... and now she's on a hospital's bed, cold as ever, and i'm not even sure she's breathing... how did she get there?

The doctor suddenly came out from her room with a worried expression. I was expecting the worse

"are you a member of her family?"

"I am her ... emmm ... brother, yes."

Why didn't i say i was her boyfriend?!

"then, mister, i need to talk to you..." he brought me in his office and made me sit

"young man, do you know if your sister was beeing bullied, or if she has mental issues?" he asked while looking at his notebook

"what- no! she wasn't bullied, and she surely didn't have any mental issues" i was shocked by his questions and didn't know how to react

"then, i have to tell you that your sister is suicidal"

Now i didn't even know what to answer. Chanjae? suicidal? No way! She was actually happy... we were happy together ... i think?

"young man...?" he snapped me out of my thoughts and asked me if i was okay. i nodded

"but how do you know she's suicidal?"

"judging from the blood tests, she has a huge amount of different kind of drugs. these drugs are particularly made for suicidal person. they are mixed with liquids and drank  ... and these drugs are hard to find... it's even harder to heal the person if he or she isn't quickly brought in a hospital. there might be some secondary effects, for her, it may affects her view... how long did she stayed unconscious?"

"ermm... I'm not sure ... i wasn't at home when it happened..."

Chanjae ... is that why you locked yourself? you really wanted to ... go away?

I felt my tears slowly falling on my cheeks and didn't even bother to wipe them since i knew i would cry a lot tonight...

Chanyeol POV

We arrived at the hospital quite late since we couldn't follow the pace of the ambulance. but when we came in, i immediately went toward the receptionist to ask him where my sister was.

"thank you" i bowed and ran to the 4th floor, where i saw Lay sitting on the ground, holding his knees and hiding his face

"WHAT HAPPENED!?" I yelled and he raised his head. his eyes were redder than blood and his cheeks... well... that's not the moment to think of his cheeks actually (T_T)

"Answer me! what happened!?" i grabbed his collar since he wouldn't talk

"... She's .... suicidal" he whisper for only me to hear

it took some time for his words to enter in my brain but i still couldn't believe him

"..." i pulled him more toward me, wanting to hear him more

"the doctor said she took a lot of drugs... and she mixed it with a drink"

"liar" i said and released him. but i knew he was right. he could be right, in fact. but still, i didn't think she would kill herself without even saying goodbye. it just couldn't happen. she was too young to think of any of that. and where could she find drugs when she was always at home?

Lay POV

after Chanyeol released me, he sat on the bench and start to think, just like i did when i heard she was suicidal...

Chanjae, were you really not happy with me? Was I that negligent with you? didn't I took enough care of you? Were you that mad at me? What on earth did i do for you to want to commit suicide...

I was starting to think i was the one responsible. well, i am, right? i am her boyfriend...

No one's POV

"what did you do this time hyung?"

"nothing, she seemed tired so i just gave her something to relax and sleep a while... and why not forever?"

"why do you both want to kill her!? she's innocent! we can't revenge our parent's death and you know it-"

"shut your mouth dongsaeng-ah, you migh get hit if you continue like that" Wooyoung said while trying to take a nap

Myungsoo sighed and went to his room but before he could enter, he heard his hyung say

"and if you try to interfere with my plans again, i won't treat you as nicely as now, and IU might get hurt too, remember that"

Wooyoung saw the text he sent to Chanjae and was quite angry but was relief when he saw you drink the coke after all

This girl is really stupid...

Myungsoo on the other hand, wanted to tell everything to your brother but he was afraid that his brother would know and hit IU. he didn't care if he was beaten to death by him but he didn't want anyone to get hurt because of him. he didn't know what to do now...

~~~~~ Hospital ~~~~~

you opened one eye and didn't saw anything but white. you blinked a little and could barely see a room with a chair. you looked your arms, but you didn't have anything on. you sat and wanted to go out but you felt too dizzy and quickly lie on the bed

you clearly remembered you were studying at home in your room but then, nothing

How did I get here? What happened? Where is everyone? ... why am i only able to see with one eye?

Lay POV

"what exactly are the 'secondary effects' you were talking about earlier?" i asked the doctor

"it depends on how long she stayed unconscious. we can think positive and hope that she only stayed unconscious for less than 3 hours, she will only get blurry eyes for 1 or 2 months, or we can expect the worse, if she stayed unconscious for more than 3 hours, and, in that case, well ... she can become ... blind" he patted my shoulder and left me like that.
