you woke up the next morning, thankful that is was holidays because you could sleep until 10am... and head toward your bathroom to take a quick shower, then went downstairs to see -and it didn't surprise you- the home empty. you saw a note on the fridge :

"eat before you leave, and send me a message when you wake up! Chanyeolie" you chuckled seeing how childish his nickname was and grabbed your phone "i'll be out shopping with IU and Wooyoung all day, be back at 6! take care oppa :)" you send it to your brother and eat what you were sure D.O made for you.

you eat it this time, feeling bad for last night, and you changed into casual clothes, ready to go shopping with your besties.

you left the dorms and went to the meeting place, which was : G-market! a korean mall.

you arrived and saw they were already there, waiting for you while eating ice cream. you waved at them and you started to go through the stores when IU noticed your necklace

"hey, what's that?"

"hmmm? oh, a gift Kris oppa gave me when i met him"

"oppa, hmmm?" wooyoung asked an eyebrow raised

"brother-like oppa, wooyoung, nothing more" you replied

"how's he? is he good looking? how old? where does he live? aargh, i wanna know everything!" IU squeals

"woah woah woah, easy there, why do you wanna know so much about him? hmm?" wooyoung said, putting a finger on her forehead.

"well, he could be Chanjae's boyfriend in a couple of weeks, so i have to know him!!"

"what?! nonono" you said "he's my brother's friend and-"

"YOUR BROTHER?!" they both yelled at you "YOU MET YOUR BROTHER?!"

"ah, ye... i didn't tell you?" you said innocently.

you told them the whole story and you continued your shopping. you then decided to go to the beach when your phone rang : Kris oppa.

"yes Kris oppa?" your best friends looked at you and started to smile stupidly

"Chanjae-ah"

"Chanyeol oppa??" now their eyes grew wide and they told you to put on the loudspeakers and you did

"yeah, i don't have battery anymore... anyway, can you come home now? i know you're with your friends but we have to go to Japan in 2 days and i told them you'd come with us"

"how long?"

"3 weeks"

"will it be just the 13 of us?" you didn't want to go with  people you didn't know. you felt like "only" the 12 of them would really care about you even though you didn't know them.

"yeah, Luhan Tao and Chen have to go back to China first and then we'll all go together"

"okay then, see you soon"

"see you" and he hung up.

you saw your friends' face and you knew they wanted to ask you something.

"what?" you asked

"Kris, Chanyeol, Luhan, Tao, Chen ... it sounds like this boy band... argh, i can't remember the name..." said IU frustrated

"EXO?" wooyoung said randomly

"YEAH!" screamed IU "This one! and you said there were 13 of you, and EXO is composed of 12 members..." she looked straight in your eyes "Park Chanjae, are you living with a boy band without even knowing it?"

"What? noo! they don't look like they are famous or something anyway. they aren't really sociable and they would just stick with each other... sorry i have to go, my brother wants me home" you hugged them and when you were about to leave you turned back looking at them "I'M GOING TO JAPAN, GUYS!!! SEE YOU IN 3 WEEKS!!" and you ran to the dorms.

then Chanyeol spotted you reading Sehun's notebook and quickly ran toward you and snapped it

"what was that for?" you whined, frustrated that he interrupted you

So it's Sehun who wrote the song?

"that's Sehun's. you have to ask for it! tut tut tut!"

"hmmmm!" you went directly to your room.

"Wait" your brother said, but you decided to ignore him since he interrupted you.

"Chanjae-ah~!" Tao called you and you quickly ran to the living room

"de oppa?" you looked at him smiling. Chanyeol didn't believed it. you were actually ignoring him and he didn't like it. Suho, on the other hand, felt a little bit jealous of how close you were with Tao and he wondered how you became that close with each other, and everyone else in the room stayed quiet.

"That's the first time a girl called him "oppa" ... he must be happy" Suho thought

"I want to be called "oppa" by Chanjae too!!!" Baekhyun thought

"did i hear it right? Chanjae just called him oppa?" Luhan and Lay thought

the rest of them did like nothing happened and continued packing.

FLASHBACK

you were sitting in the kitchen, you couldn't sleep. it was 4am and you saw someone outside, lying on a long chair next to the swimming pool. you went out and slowly sat next to him.

"what are you doing here, alone, at 4 in the morning?" you asked. he didn't seem surprised to see you next to him and replied:

"can't sleep. i'm thinking too much about our next perf-" he realized you still didn't know about the whole EXO stuff "nothing... you?"

"bad dream." you simply said

"wanna talk about it?"

you told him you would often have nightmares because of your parents' death when you were still little, and the way your brother and Kris left you. after saying everything, you were surprised of yourself. you never opened up to anyone before and tell them your secrets this quickly. he just smiled kindly at you.

"do you feel better now?" he asked after a while

"yeah. thank you for listening"

"welcome... now mind if i tell you my story?"

you were surprised by his words and nodded.

"when i was 5, my parents moved to Canada. they thought it would be better for me if i knew how to speak english and korean at the same time. i grew up there until my grandparents died. we came back from Canada and stayed in Korea. i went to school here, and because i was new, i was bullied. i was always beaten up after school until i met Lay and Luhan. they were singing and performing behind the school and i was amazed by their talents. they saw me and invited me to join them. i accepted it. i didn't know how to sing so i rapped. and it turned out well, since we won 1st place at a Singing competition" he thought it would be best to stop here so he wouldn't tell you too much about what happened after the competition. so he skipped until today "and we moved in this mansion where there was already practically everyone. the one who brought us here told us we were talented so we had to live together."

"but what are you doing all day long?" you were curious

"aaah~ it's really late now! let's go back to sleep if we want to wake early, hmmm?" he tried to change the subject. you thought it wouldn't be right from you to tell him to continue the story so you just gave in and when back to sleep.

Wooooh~ that was really close!! Tao thought while walking you to your room, an arm on your shoulder.

"thanks oppa, now go to sleep, arasso?" he was shocked, hearing you call him oppa so casually but put on his poker face so you won't see it

"oh. de. sleep well ... Chanjae-ah?" he replied, unsure of your reaction. you just smiled and went to sleep again

you finished packing your stuff for your trip in Japan and were helping D.O in the kitchen.

"D.O-shi, can i-"

"you said we didn't need to use honorifics, right?" he asked you

"oh, right! so, D.O, can i ask you a question?"

"sure" he said, not really caring because he was making bulgogi and was chopping onions at the same time

"Do you know EXO? or something like that?" you asked innoncently, washing the vegetables, not noticing he stopped chopping.

"Why? what do you want to know about them?" he nervously said

"oh, nothing, my friends just told me they were a boyband..."

you started to eat when your phone rang. you quickly answer it.

"hello? ...oh? Myungsoo oppa?" everyone in the kitchen spits out the food hearing this name "ah, keurae? ... chincha?! but i can't come, i'll be in japan for the next 3 weeks! ... hmm? ... ah, with my brother and some friends... de... mianhae oppa!! chincha mianhae!! arasso... de... agessimida~! haha, okay, bye!" you hung up and returned to your seat.

chanyeol looked at you :

"that was ...?"

"a friend of mine~" you replied, knowing he thought it was your boyfriend

"and he wanted ...?" he asked again

"to hang out with me and his friends~" you replied again

"how did you know him anyway?" he asked you. you were shocked by his look and the seriousness in his voice

"wh-why do you suddenly wanna know?"

"for nothing. eat... "he seemed annoyed

Myungsoo ... what do you want from my sister ...? she didn't do anything wrong. it wasn't her fault. you better leave her alone.
