Yoongi ran a hand through his hair as he examined the study guide in front of him. His foot tapping the ground while his leg shaked. He turned a page.

Ryujin walked in from outside, a new bruise on her face. Yoongi looked up and grimaced.

”Ouch.” Yoongi said, eyeing the black eye.

” off.” Ryujin replies as she sat down at the table with Yoongi. “I got in the way during an argument with a trainee and the demon child, and didn’t want the kid to get hit. Poor guy was trembling, I felt bad.”

”Maybe it’s because we are superheroes. Doing good things just come to us. I saved a ladybug from being cat food earlier.”

”How do you save a ladybug?”

Yoongi flipped to another page in his study guide, then looked up at her. “Had the little fella crawl onto my finger and carried it to a flower on a garden. Damn outdoor cat followed me for a while before finally giving up.”

Ryujin nodded and rose. She went into the refrigerator and took out an ice pack. “Where’s Woozi?”

”He has to babysit his sister’s daughters tonight, so he’s getting some sleep before then.”

Ryujin pressed the ice pack to her eye and sighed. Yoongi continued to study. Eventually, Ryujin left the kitchen and went to her room.

A couple hours later, Woozi stepped into the shower. He washed himself then got out. His phone had been vibrating the entire time. Woozi took a look at his phone, a smile appeared on his face.

Seongchul(Scoups): I miss your dorky face here. Why do you have to take a vacation day?

Scoups: Are you ignoring my texts? How rude.

Woozi: I’m napping.

Scoups: Why?

Woozi: I’m babysitting tonight and it’ll be late when I get back.

Scoups: Oh fun.

Woozi changed into comfortable clothes and stuffed his phone in his pocket. 

Thirty minutes later Woozi pulled into his sister’s driveway, finding her standing outside with a smile on her face. 

“Brother!” his sister said as she pulled the boy into a tight hug. 

“Hi, Jihyo.” 

Jihyo welcomed Woozi into her home. She stepped over toys scattered throughout the foyer and led Woozi to her two daughters sitting on the couch watching cartoons. Tia was seven, and Yeri had just turned five. 

Before Jihyo could speak, a knock occured on the front door. Jihyo went to answer it, Woozi stayed with her daughters. 

”Sorry, I can’t talk right now.” Jihyo said, there was a manly voice angrily answering but Woozi couldn’t understand him. “You need to leave. Now. I have somewhere to be and you can’t be here. I will call you tomorrow morning.”

There was the sound of a door closing, then Jihyo walked back to Woozi. He could tell Jihyo was uneasy.

”I’ll be home by four. Since it’s a Saturday, they can stay up until ten. You know them well enough, but any questions just call. I’ll keep my phone on high.”

Woozi nodded, “got it. Now go.” Jihyo gave him a warm smile and kissed her daughters goodbye before leaving. 

Woozi sat down between the two girls, who were entranced by the show. Woozi took out his phone and started texting Seongchul, Ryujin and Yoongi. 

An hour went by when Woozi looked up, Tia was asleep and Yeri was falling asleep. Suddenly there was a knock on the door, it was loud.

Woozi looked at the girls, it didn’t faze them or wake them up. He rose and went to answer the knocking.

Woozi opened the door to find a rugged man staring down at him. His black hair was tied in a bun, he wore a red shirt and black sweatpants. He looked surprised seeing Woozi answer.

”Yes?” Woozi responded.

”Where is Jihyo?” The man asked, it was the same voice from earlier.

”Who are you?” Woozi asked. 

“I’m her boyfriend.”

”Woo Hyun?” The man nodded. “I’m pretty sure she told me you two were broken up.”

”So where is Jihyo?” Woo Hyun asked. 

“I’m sorry, but I’m just here to babysit. I don’t know where she is.” Woozi went to close the door, but Woohyun blocked him from closing by placing his hand on the door and pushing.

Woozi eyed his hand, suddenly getting concerned. Woo Hyun got in Woozi’s face, “You do know where she is. Tell me.”

”I really don’t know, I’m sorry. Please leave. Or I will call the cops.”

Woo Hyun stared for a second before leaving. Woozi closed the door and locked it, adding the chain lock as well. 

Woozi woke up the girls immediately and sent them to bed. He tucked in Yeri, turned off the room light and closed their bedroom door. 

Woozi sat down on the couch and switched the show from cartoons to reality shows. 

A couple hours past, Woozi had started to yawn. He eyed the clock, it had just struck two. 

There was another knock from the door. Woozi shot up, his heart racing. Woozi took a deep breath and went to the door. He looked through the pep hold, and saw no one. He decided to not open the door.

Woozi took another deep breathe then went to check on the girls. He peeked his head in, finding them asleep then went back to the living room. He sat back down and continued watching his show.

Suddenly Woozi’s phone started to ring, he looked at the caller Id then answered. “What are you doing up, Yoongi?”

”I’m bored. I’m done studying. Can I come and help?” 

“What?” 

“Help you watch your sister’s kids. Please? I’ll be there in ten minutes, in fact I’m already getting ready. See you soon.” 

Woozi couldn’t say another word. Yoongi hung up. Woozi sighed.

Woozi was about to rise when he heard a sound similar to glass shattering. He shot up and scanned the room, nothing seemed amiss. 

“That was weird.” Woozi said to himself.

Woozi entered the kitchen, and found glass on the ground. He followed the shards to find a broken window. His breath sharpened and his body went cold.

Woozi saw the man standing in the doorway. A sinister smile on his face, a hammer in his hand. It was Woo Hyun. 

Woozi raised his hands, ready to freeze if necessary “what do you want?” 

Woo Hyun pointed with his hammer “Your sister’s bashed in head.”

”Yeah, not going to happen.”

Woozi gestured his hands, freezing Woo Hyun. His eyes stayed on him as Woozi took away the hammer from his hand. Woozi returned to his spot and blinked.

Woo Hyun noticed almost immediately that the hammer was gone. Woozi waved it in his hand with a small smile. 

“What the ?!”

Woo Hyun suddenly charged at Woozi. Woozi froze him again mid run. Woozi took a few steps back, being careful not to fall backwards. 

He would have gotten away easily if it wasn’t for a set of LEGOs piercing the bottom of his foot. Woozi let out a cry of pain, and fell backwards. The freeze broke and Woo Hyun continued his assault. 

Woo Hyun tried to wrestle the hammer away from Woozi. Woozi tried to freeze Woo Hyun again, but instead got a hammer to the wrist. It didn’t do too much damage, but it hurt. 

Woozi went for a low blow and kicked with all his might at Woo Hyun’s crotch.

Woozi crawled away and ran to the front door. He turned to face Woo Hyun, who was already across from him with the hammer in his hand. Woozi froze the man again. He knew he couldn’t turn around, which meant he couldn’t unlock the door and the chain.

"Woozi?!" a familiar voice called out.

Woozi turned his head towards the door, which in turn made Woo Hyun unfreeze. Woozi barely dodged an attack from Woo Hyun, seperating him from the door. Woo Hyun stood in front of the door, a creepy smile on his face. Woozi raised his hands again and froze Woo Hyun again.

"Yoongi?!"

"Yeah, dude, unlock the door!"

"I can't!"

"Why not? And what was with that ruckus?"

"Burn the door down. I can't unlock it."

"What, are you crazy?!"

Woozi had to blink, so he did. Woo Hyun unfroze. Suddenly, hands wrapped around Woozi's leg. The boy looked down to see Tia. That changed everything. Woozi looked up to see Woo Hyun mid swing, just a few feet from him. Woozi froze the attacker just in time.

"Tia, honey, go hide in the bathroom. Go!" Woozi pushed his niece away. Tia ran.

"Yoongi! Burn the door!" Woozi yelled again.

"No. What is going on?!"

"I'm being attacked, Yoongi! Do something!" Woozi replied. It took Woozi a second, then he remembered the broken window. "Go to the left side of the house, and climb in through the window!"

There was no response from Yoongi. Woozi had to blink again, and he did just as he moved out of the way of his attacker. Woo Hyun unfroze, swinging down at nothing.

"How the hell do you do that?!" Woo Hyun asked. He turned to recieve a floor lamp to the face from Woozi.

The freezer ran towards the kitchen, finding Yoongi being hit over the head softly by a distraught Tia. Woozi gently pulled Tia away, and helped Yoongi inside. Woo Hyun entered just as the firebender dusted himself off.

"Burn him." Woozi said, his voice hoarse. Tia hiding behind his legs. Woo Hyun lunged again, but ended up frozen. Woozi grimaced in pain, his hand wrapping around his injured wrist. "Hurry."

Yoongi looked at his friend then back at Woo Hyun. "Let's just call the police," Yoongi said.

"I can't keep freezing him, and I need to blink." Woozi replied.

"Fight through the unfreezing. Focus on keeping him frozen after blinking."

"I can't."

"Yes, you can. I know you can. You have to. Your powers are increasing, you just have to believe in them."

Woozi finally blinked, focusing his willpower to keep the freeze. He finally opened them to see Woo Hyun still frozen. A smile formed on the boys face.

Yoongi dialed for the police. Not even ten minutes later, Woo Hyun was being handcuffed. Jihyo pulled into her driveway, screaming for her children. Woozi walked out, Tia and Yeri wrapped around his arms. Jihyo got down on her knees and opened up her arms, her daughters running right into them.

Woozi was finally looked at by paramedics. He wanted to go to the hospital to be sure the blunt attack didn't damage anything. Yoongi joined him.

Yoongi leaned in to Woozi, a smile on his face "I knew you could do it."
