Ryujin rubbed her eyes as she sat on the couch in the living room. The clock on her phone read three in the morning.

Beside her sat her suitcase, along with another one that belonged to Woozi. 

Woozi walked into the living room from the kitchen, he was wide awake unlike Ryujin. 

“Okay, I think we have everything.” Woozi said out loud to himself. Ryujin stared ahead, the tiredness making it hard to keep her eyes from closing completely. 

“You have your suitcase. Yoongi is packing as we speak, of course. Always at the last minute.” Woozi stated to himself out loud. 

“I can hear you, jackass!” Yoongi called out from his bedroom. 

“Hurry up!” Woozi yelled back. 

About ten minutes later, the three were sitting in Ryujin’s car. Their belongings were crammed in the backseat with Yoongi. Woozi sat in the passenger seat. His phone displayed a gps, with the destination being the nearest airport. 

Ryujin put on her turn signal when the gps told her to take a right. Twenty minutes later, the three were unpacking their car at the airport. 

Ryujin looked around the crowded parking lot. She saw a bickering couple just across from her. She couldn’t help but hear the woman’s thoughts. 

This is the last time I go on a trip with this twit. I don’t even feel bad for cheating on him anymore! 

Ryujin shook her head then turned back to her friends. Woozi scolded Yoongi for taking so much snacks from home. 

The three entered the airport when they were done unloading their car. After passing through security, the group went to their gate and walked up to the woman manning the entrance to the airplane. 

“Tickets, please” The woman said with a gentle smile. Her name tag read Dahyun. Dahyun was wearing a matching blue top and knee length dress, and her blonde was styled into a tight bun. 

The three shown Dahyun their tickets, then boarded the plane. Thankfully, Ryujin was able to score seats all near each other. Woozi and Yoongi sat together on the left side of the plane, Ryujin sat two rows ahead next to an elderly woman. Woozi sat down after stuffing his carry-on above. He took a deep breath, his breathing shaky. 

”Nervous?” A man asked from behind. Woozi turned his head to face him. “First time I take it?”

”Yep.” 

The man couldn’t help but smile, “you’ll be fine.”

”Yep.” 

A flight attendant passed by. Yoongi raised his hand to get her attention, she stopped and smiled at him. 

“Do you have chips?”

”No.” she said with a sly smile before continuing to walk. 

It took about ten minutes for everyone to board. After the usual announcement from the flight attendant, the plane took off. 

Woozi took a series of deep breaths, closing his eyes as the turbulence occurred. Yoongi patted Woozi on his thigh to comfort him. 

“Yoongi.” 

“Yeah.”

”I’m gonna freeze.” 

“No.”

”Yes”

”Woozi.”

”Sorry!” Woozi said before raising his hands and freezing the entire airplane cabin, including the items in the flight attendants hands. Ryujin noticed the frozen environment immediately. She rose from her seat.

”What’s wrong?!”

”Sorry! I got scared.” 

Ryujin sighed and went ahead to the cockpit to check on the pilot and co-pilot. They weren’t frozen, and had no idea what was going on in the cabin. 

“Woozi, look.” Yoongi said as he pointed to the frozen objects in the attendants hands. 

“What?”

”They do have chips!” 

Woozi squeezed his seat as the turbulence continued. Eventually, it stopped. Ryujin returned to her seat and eyed Woozi.

Woozi let out a sigh of relief then unfroze the cabin. No one knew what had happened, except for the old lady sitting beside Ryujin.

”Were you always standing, dear? It’s unsafe during tur-“

”Yep.” Ryujin interrupted as she fell into her seat with a sigh. 

The trip was full of Woozi freezing the cabin a good ten times before Yoongi had the bright idea to hold his hands down. A couple hours later, the group arrived. 

Woozi ran out of the plane, slipping past people and falling to the ground. Ryujin and Yoongi joined him eventually, apologizing to the passing passengers who glared at him. 

The three left the airport with a rental car shortly after. Ryujin drove to a nearby motel where she made reservations. 

“Cuz’ that ain’t creepy.” Yoongi said as they looked at the motel.

The motel was what someone would find when they weren’t looking for one, but needed to find a place to stay. There was a small office between to separate buildings where the motel rooms were. Two employees could be seen walking around the buildings, one on the second floor of one building and the other walking to a storage shed; another employee was seen sitting in the office. 

“I’ll check us in.” Ryujin said. The boys nodded. 

Ryujin walked to the office. Before entering, she spotted a woman near the left side building. She was staring at the employee cleaning the outside of a rooms window. Her face was hidden from view, but her clothes were tattered and didn’t seem to fit her body well. 

The employee finally noticed the woman. Ryujin couldn’t make out what the two were saying, but the conversation stopped when the tattered woman lunged at the employee with unnatural speed. 

“Guys!” Ryujin screamed as she started off towards the two. Yoongi and Woozi, who were conversing, followed Ryujin’s frantic pointing ahead. They noticed the attack and ran towards it with Ryujin. 

“I’ll go up the backstairs!” Woozi said. He went further to the right to get to the backstairs. Yoongi and Ryujin went up the main stairs. 

The tattered woman began to swipe at the employee, who was pinned to the ground and screaming in terror. 

“Hey!” Yoongi screamed. The tattered woman shot up and tried to escape away from them down the hall to the backstairs. Her escape was cut short as Woozi appeared from the corner, clotheslining her to the ground. 

The employee scrambled to her feet and ran the opposite way screaming in fear. 

“Good job, Woozi.” Yoongi said.

The tattered woman quickly retaliated, swiping its leg at Woozi’s. Woozi lost balance and fell down. The tattered woman jumped over Woozi.

”I don’t think so.” Woozi muttered before freezing the fleeing attacker. 

It didn’t take long for the woman to begin resisting the freeze, her body beginning to slowly regain animation. Woozi took the opportunity to get up and get a look at her before she was able to unfreeze. What he saw shocked him. The woman unfroze seconds later and batted him aside with ease then escaped. 

Ryujin and Yoongi went to Woozi, helping him up. 

“Did you get a good look at her?” Ryujin asked. 

“No.” 

“But you looked right at her.” 

“I did.”

”So?”

”I can’t really get a good look at her face if she doesn’t have one.”
