Chapter 50
I'm Marrying You?!
Narrator’s POV
Jaejoong arrived at Changmin’s house. He was a bit distracted.
“Ya, are you okay?” Yoochun asked.
“Yeah, I am.”
“Lemme guess, work’s been stressing you?” Chun asked.
“You….could say that.”
“Oh, right Hyung, about the new hotel at Busan we need an interior designer.” Junsu said.
“I thought creative director Park Sangmu already found one.” Jae replied.
“Sec. Hong called her but she’s not available.”
“How about recruiting~”
“We don’t have time, hyung. Do you know someone?”
“I….do.“ He replied with a smile.
“Inhee’s not coming?” Changmin asked.
“Yeah, she’s attending a party.”
“Aigoo, your wife left you for a party.” Yunho grinned.
Serin was quietly eating.
“Oh, prawns.” Changmin smiled as he dug in.
“It’s good Inhee didn’t come, we’re having seafood.” Jaejoong said.
Under the table, Serin’s hand gripped on her napkin in frustration.
“I heard Inhee’s working again, is it true?” Yoochun asked.
“Yeah, she is.” Jaejoong replied.
“Guys, I’ll be going ahead, I’ll see you soon.” Serin abruptly left.
“How does it feel? Working in different companies?” Yunho asked.
“Merger, remember?”
“Oh.” Yunho said as he popped a slice of apple in his mouth.
“What’s wrong with Serin? She left so fast.” Changmin said.
“Did you fix things with her already?” Yoochun asked.
Jaejoong looked down.
“I know I’m not in the position about this, but as your friend, I’m worried. You’re hurting her, you’re yourself too, Jae.” Yunho said.
“You should decide who’s your priority now, I know you love Rin, but what about Inhee? She has feelings too.”
“That’s the problem. I can’t tell her.”
“Tell what?” Yunho asked. Changmin Yoochun and Junsu all listened in.
“What I feel for her.”
“Jae, she already knows, Rin told you she loves you, didn’t she?”
Jaejoong shook his head.
“I can’t tell Serin that I’m not in love with her anymore.”
The guys’ eyes widened.
“I think…..well it’s awkward saying this but….I think I’m in love with my wife.”
Your POV
Jaejoong fetched me from the club just in time.
“How was it? Did they look for me?” I asked.
He smiled, but something felt different.
“Yeah, Junsu did.”
I nodded.
“How was the party?” He asked while driving.
“It was okay, Soomin says hi. What a sweet girl.” I cant believe what I’m saying, but yeah, I think she’s sweet.
“Older sister not jealous anymore?” He grinned.
“Ya!”
He laughed. Then he took out something from his coat pocket.
“Oh, you kept this.” I smiled as I got the photo from him.
“This picture…was it torn?”
Narrator’s POV
“This picture…was it torn?”
Inhee froze. Her fingers clutched on the photo.
“Inhee?” Jaejoong looked at her.
“It was.” She replied quietly as she looked at the window.
“Who was the other boy?” Jaejoong asked.
“How..did you know it was a boy?”
“The shoe, there.” He pointed the shoe.
“I don’t remember who he is. Maybe one of oppa’s friends.” She shrugged.
“Well, childhood memories are sometimes hard to remember.” Jaejoong said as Inhee gave the photo back to him. Inhee smiled briefly and looked away.
Jaejoong’s POV
I woke up in the middle of the night. Inhee was having her nightmares again. I stood up and went to her room.
“Inhee, it’s fine. No need to be scared.” I said as I sat on her bed and held onto her arms.
She was crying and screaming.
“Stop crying.”
“I’m afraid….he’s back….i thought he left already..”
He’s back?
It can’t be that boy from the photo right?
I lay down beside her and hugged her.
“He wont hurt you, Inhee, I promise.”
“I thought her was my friend…a brother….but…Bummie oppa….bad jerk.”
Bummie oppa?
Her breathing evened and she snuggled closer. I like the way she smells. I like unguarded moments like this, just her and me.
“Sleep tight, Inhee.” I said as I kissed her forehead.
Bummie oppa? Maybe he’s the boy from the photo? But Inhee said she couldn’t remember.
She wont lie about something so small, can she?
