Narrator’s POV

Inhee woke up just in time for work. She literally hopped off her bed with a smile. She took a shower and changed into a white sleeveless mini dress and a black sharp-shouldered jacket.

“Inhee?” A voice came from her doorway while she was strapping her heels on.

“Oh, why?” She asked.

“I have to leave early, I can’t eat with you.” Jaejoong said.

‘“Okay, but where are you off to?”

“Ulsan, I have some things to follow up.”

Inhee nodded.

“See you later.” Jaejoong said as he smiled.

Inhee smiled back.

“Wait.” Jaejoong came back and walked to the dresser. He got the necklace.

“Wear this, it’s not safe, I’m not around.”

“Mwoya? Is this some sort of talisman?” Inhee laughed as Jaejoong placed the necklace on her.

“You can……call it that way.” Jaejoong grinned as he touched her cheek lightly and left.

Your POV

“Nooooona! I heard you were back!” Chunji came in holding a tub of ice cream.

“Yeah, I am.” I grinned as he hugged me.

“Here, it’s a welcome back gift.” He smiled cheekily as we sat on the table.

“Ice cream?” I gave him a wan look.

“It’s our favorite.” He grinned as he handed me a plastic spoon.

“Dig in noona, you’ve been so thin lately.”

“So, how’s everything going?” He asked as I popped a spoonful into my mouth.

“It’s fine, nothing new.” I shrugged.

“I heard about the conference this afternoon, want me to come with you noona?”

“I smell something.” I raised one brow.

“I just want to come with my sister, is that bad?”

I gave him a look.

“Fine, hyung’s worried over you. He wants you to be safe, is all.” He smiled.

“I’m fine.” I waved one hand dismissively.

“Oh right, Chunji-yah~”

Narrator’s POV

Inhee stopped in midsentence, both siblings turned to the door.

“Director, Mr. Park wants to see you, he says he’s a friend.”

Chunji stood in front of his sister defensively.

Oh, it wasn’t Park Yoochun. He was the other Park, the unwelcomed one.

“What are you doing here?” Chunji asked icily.

Inhee didn’t dare look. Her fingers were starting to tremble slightly.

“Inhee, let’s talk. We need to.”

“No.” Chunji said.

“I’m not asking you, Chunji, I just need to talk to your sister.” Jaebum said as he stepped in closer.

“Get away from her. You’re not welcome here.”

“We just need to talk.”

Inhee saw her brother’s fist curl. She stood up.

“Chunji, calm down.” She held on to his elbow.

“Get out of here. No one wants to see or talk to you here.”

“Inhee, please, I just want to say a few things~”

“She doesn’t want to listen, so GET OUT OF HERE!” Chunji lost it.

Inhee held onto her brother’s hand to prevent him from doing anything.

“I said get out~”

“What’s wrong?” Jaejoong was standing by the doors.

“Oh, Mister Park, nice meeting you here.” He addressed Jaebum with a handshake.

“Didn’t you hear me? Get out.” Chunji said. Jaebum looked at the Ho siblings once and left.

“What’s wrong? You two know each other?” Jaejoong asked, completely confused. Inhee sat down and studied her nails. Chunji sighed and walked out of the room.

Jaejoong watched him leave. He turned to Inhee.

“Did something happen?” He asked.

Inhee bit her lip.

“Chunji, lost his temper.” She replied.

“Well, that….man came in the wrong office, Chunji got annoyed.”

“He’s that angry?” Jaejoong asked, still confused.

“We were talking about private stuff, company matters.” She smiled and looked away.

“Ah….but, don’t you know that guy? Earlier, at my office~”

“No, I don’t.”

“But, he clearly knew you, he even called you by name~”

“I don’t, okay? I don’t know him.” She stood up in an irritated manner.

Jaejoong looked at her.

“Are you busy?” He asked as Inhee sat on her office chair.

“I was, it’s a break time now, for me. You? Wait, why are you here?” Inhee said, realizing something.

“I met your brother earlier, I asked him if he knew where you were, you weren’t answering my calls.”

“He told me you were at the company. But I didn’t expect I’d see you in an office.”

Inhee smiled.

“I came back.” She said as she laid one finger on her nameplate.

“Creative director slash CEO.” Jaejoong nodded.

“Yours sound more flashy, Vice President.” She smiled.

“Hyung! He came here. At noona’s office.” Chunji was talking with his older brother in his office.

“What happened?”

“Jaejoong hyung came, he seemed to calm noona. Jaebum left.”

“Inhee? Is she okay? She didn’t~”

“Aniyo, hyung. At first, it’s strange, he wanted to talk with noona, but I didn’t let him.”

“He wants to talk with Inhee?”

Chunji nodded.

“What happened to Jaejoong? Does he know now?”

“I don’t know, I left him with noona.”

“What does he want? Why is he approaching her?” Nichkhun sighed in frustration.

“It’s already bad that he’s still alive.” Chunji muttered.

Jaejoong’s POV

I could tell something was wrong. Inhee wasn’t feeling well.

“You came back? You were working before?”

“Yeah, two or three years ago.” She replied.

“Why’d you stop?” I asked. She sat in front of me and smiled.

“There are some things~”

“Inhee.” Her older brother was standing by the door. He looked at me once.

“Oh, I am sorry. Inhee, come to my office later.”

Inhee nodded, then Nichkhun left.

“Mianhe, I shouldn’t have come, I didn’t know you were busy.” I said.

“I’m not, I have a few hours free, want to grab some snacks? Chunji just bailed on me.”

“Sure.” I smiled.

We walked down to the lobby. I noticed that people would greet her and bow politely. I didn’t know she used to work before. I wonder why she stopped. But, seeing her like this, being respected and acknowledged by people, I like it. Seeing her in an office, seeing her working, it makes me feel proud.

“Let’s go.” I took her hand as we walked forward.

“There’s a café near here, let’s go there.” She replied.

“So, how was Ulsan?” She asked as we stepped out of the building.

“I finished the deal there, you?” I asked.

“I have this conference later, I think I wont be back till dinnertime.”

“Conference on?”

“It’s about the new hotel at Sincheon, I have to look for the furniture and textiles.”

“That’s a lot.” I nodded.

“Can I come?” I asked.

“Why?” She asked, she let go of my hand and fixed her hair.

“I want to come, I don’t want to eat alone.”

“Arasso, you can come, Mister Kim.” She grinned.

“But, will Chunji be alright? He seems really mad earlier.” I said.

I saw her expression change.

“It’s okay, Ji’s like that, and he has the worst temper though.” She smiled not her smile.
