Joon was casually walking around, trying to find the library as fast as he could. He had a huge book report due today, and totally forgot about it. He wanted to write at least some kind of paragraph down to get some credit, even though he knew that he wouldn't make it.

Damn assignment, Joon thought, cursing his bad luck. Why couldn't it just be due later this week?

Even though Joon was popular and handsome, he didn't quite have the brains. You couldn't say that he was dumb, nor could you say that he was a genius. He was in between, like a normal boy. Except, he wasn't quite normal either. He was popular! You couldn't call a popular person normal since those kind of people shined, even when doing nothing.

When he passed by a classroom, he stopped for a moment. He backed up, rolling his eyes over to the window of the classroom. He found the same girl he saw at lunch, reading the same book during lunch.

What's Yoona doing here? he wondered. He knew that it was none of his business to barge into the empty classroom and ask Yoona what he was doing. He knew that he had a report to write on before class, which started in around five minutes. However, he couldn't help but just slide the wooden door open and walk into the classroom. Despise the scratchy sound the door made, Yoona did not seem to hear him. He walked towards the flawless girl, who was practically in a whole new world. Joon stared at her, wondering if he should say something.

Just say hi, Joon told himself. What harm could that do?

"Uh…hi," Joon greeted awkwardly. Yoona jumped, surprised by the sudden voice. She looked up, her eyes widening in fear, like how a doe's eyes would when crossing a street with a car heading towards it. Joon cleared his throat and tugged on his collar a bit. "I'm Joon. I already know your name. Your name is Im Yoona, right?"

He expected that since Yoona was quiet, she was a fan of him from afar. He expected her to scream any moment, yelling, "OMO! JOON IS HERE! JOON OPPA IS HERE!" or "GAH! IT'S REALLY YOU! IT ISN'T A DREAM!" He even expected her to faint, wish he strongly did not want that to happen. However, instead of screams and squeals, Yoona tilted her head a bit and frowned.

"Why are you here?" she questioned. "Shouldn't you be with your friends?"

Joon did not know what to say, shocked that a girl was speaking so coldly and frostily to him. "I, um, uh…"

Yoona stopped frowning and stared at Joon with sympathy. "Did you get lost? Were you supposed to meet someone here, but they ditched you?"

"No, I–"

Yoona stared at Joon coldly. "Then why are you here?"

"I don't know," Joon replied slowly. "I honestly don't know why I'm here."

Yoona rested her temple against her fist and sighed. "Do you want something from me?"

"Why are you speaking to me as if I'm like a bad guy?"

Yoona shrugged her shoulders. "I was at a good part of the book."

"What book?"

"Do I really need to say that?" Yoona asked. "It's a book. A book is just a book." She paused for a moment. "Well, at least that's what the definition of book is to you, I guess."

Joon stared at his feet, which surprisingly seemed interesting. In a quiet voice, he squeaked, "I'm sorry."

Yoona studied Joon, and then stopped frowning. Instead, she began to smile at him. Her smile was so soft and warm, like how a loving mother would smile at her child. Her teeth were pearly white, clean and perfect. She began to giggle as soon as she saw Joon's cheeks turning quite red.

"You're funny," Yoona commented. She stuck out her hand and smiled. "Let's start over, neh? I'm Im Yoona."

"I-I'm J-Joon," he stuttered, shaking Yoona's hand. It was warm, just like her smile. Her hand was as smooth as ice, almost slipping out of his finger. He couldn't help but stare at Yoona's affectionate, brown eyes. It almost seemed to glow like the light, shining brilliantly as she let go of her hand. Coming back to his senses, Joon frowned.

"Aren't you supposed to be in class by now? A lot of girls are in their class," Joon said. Yoona giggled once more, as she stood up. She swung the strap of her book bag on her shoulder and shook her head.

"Ani. I don't go to classes at this time. It's like a free period for me."

"Why?" Joon asked, frowning. He didn't think that it was quite fair for a girl to sit back and enjoy a book while the rest of the students had to suffer.

"Because I'm smarter than the rest of the students here. I have nothing to learn and a fast learner. So, I spend my time reading," Yoona explained, holding up her blue book. "I'll see you later then?"

"Sure," Joon answered, flashing a smile. His smiles would always make girls squeal or faint, but Yoona seemed unaffected. As she left the classroom for a quieter place, the bell chimed loudly, informing all the students that class had started. Joon suddenly realized that he forgot to pick out a book for his book report and did not go to the library for the past five minutes he had.

Damn it! Joon thought, scolding himself. That conversation took five minutes? What the heck?

As he was about to leave, he noticed a stack of paper on the chair Yoona had sat on.

Must've forgotten this, he thought. He picked it up, and read the yellow sticky that was on the paper.
