‘Baby~~~ please just let me sleep for another hour or so.’

‘Okay I just want to be next to you.’

‘Hhhmmm you are in the same bed, under the same duvet, in our birthday suit, if this is not being next to me, I don’t know what is.’

I pinch her tummy. ‘You know what I mean.’

‘Go back to sleep.’

‘I’m already wide awake, I’m not sleepy.’

‘Just let me be, stay quiet.’

So she really is going to let me sleep. I open one eye and I see her staring at me. ‘You are staring.’

‘What? You said to stay quiet, so I am you didn’t say anything about not staring.’

‘Fine~~ I’m going back to sleep.’
