It had been 2 months since they had gotten together. 2 months and they still hadn’t been on a date. Luhan had tried so many times; he had made plans and made reservations, he had brought flowers and chocolates, he had even gotten movie tickets for every movie which happened to align with their free time. 

It had been no use though. There was always something that happened which cancelled their plans. The first time they had tried, Chen and Xiumin were suddenly taken to interviews. The second time, they were given a surprise trip. The third time, Kai got injured and everyone was too concerned to stay at home. The next week, Tao got injured. Luhan felt like the entire universe was plotting against Xiuhan.

Today was the day that they would be going to Hong Kong for the concerts that they had there. Luhan was excited. He hoped that he and Xiumin would be able to go on a date there, after all, they usually got one or two days of free time when they went to another country. The flight was 8 hours later.

Luhan was currently sitting at the dining table, eating some leftover pizza from last night. D.O. was in the kitchen, being pestered by Kai who wanted chicken but didn’t want to go out alone. Luhan had volunteered to go with Kai but the younger boy had glared at him. Luhan had felt hurt and a bit confused so he had decided to eat pizza to comfort himself.

Xiumin had gone out with Suho and Baekhyun for some last minute shopping. Luhan had wanted to go as well but Xiumin had insisted that he ‘rest’ at home. Luhan wasn’t sure why everyone was rejecting him. Hmph. He tore off the crust of the pizza and angrily chewed on it.

“Whoa, hyung. Slow down, I can hear you from here.” Chanyeol was perched on a couch, his fingers lazily playing chords over his guitar. He would sing a few lines once in a while. Luhan muttered an apology before continuing to eat his pizza.

Lay noisily came downstairs. “Where’s Sehun and Tao?” The younger boy asked. “Who knows, probably taking selcas somewhere knowing those two.” Chanyeol replied. “How about Chen? Kris?” Lay persisted. Luhan turned around. “Kris went to get his hair dyed. Chen… I think he’s packing his bag.” He answered. Lay nodded before turning on the TV and watching cartoons.

Luhan had finished the pizza slice and was still hungry so he decided to get more. He walked into the kitchen. D.O. was cutting up vegetables. Kai was sitting on the tabletop talking excitedly about who knows what. D.O. didn’t seem to be listening anyway.

“Hey Luhannnn!” Kai said happily. Luhan smirked. “I’m guessing your waist isn’t hurting right now?” He asked, opening the fridge. “He took painkillers.” D.O. mumbled to Luhan. Luhan nodded. “Man, I really want chicken! Kyungsooooo! Hyung! Take me for chicken! Luhan hyung, tell him!” Kai whined childishly.

Luhan took out a pizza and put it on his plate before putting it in the microwave. He turned to D.O. “Did he take medication or alcohol?” He joked. D.O. cracked a small smile. Kai, oblivious to the situation began to tap a beat on the counter with some spoons.

D.O. sighed, looking at the boy with concern. “Jongin-ah, you should get some rest before the flight. It’ll be hard for you to sleep on the plane with your waist like this anyway.” D.O. said, his tone firm and responsible. “But the chicken! Hyung! I want chicken!” Kai complained. D.O. glared at Kai. “Stop it with the chicken. You’re not a baby, act your age.” He said and his tone left no room for argument.

Kai flinched a bit but got down. “Alright. I’m going.” The boy said before leaving the kitchen. Luhan raised an eyebrow at D.O. “That was a bit… harsh.” Luhan said hesitantly. D.O. gazed at him with a look of uncertainty. “I.. I didn’t really mean to.” He said softly. Luhan patted the boy’s back.

“Eh, it doesn’t matter.” He shrugged at the boy and grabbed his pizza out of the microwave and going out to sit on the dining table. He sat down and immediately began to chew his pizza. He took out his phone and saw, with delight, that Xiumin (Or ‘Baozi<3<3’ as he had saved him on his phone) had left him a message.

‘Do you still need mouthwash???? <3 If you need it, tell me~ love you!’

Luhan felt a grin on his face. Wow, Xiumin was the sweetest person in the world. He was the best person in the world. Xiumin deserved an awar- “Hyung, why do you have a creepy grin on your face?” Chanyeol asked from the couch. Luhan scowled at the boy. “It wasn’t creepy!” He insisted. Chanyeol shook his head. “1000 won it was something related to Minseok hyung.” He told Lay. Lay shook his head. “I’m not wasting 1000 won.” The boy replied. Luhan flushed, turning around to give a reply.

‘Yes pleeeease!!! I miss you sooooooo much! Come home quickly! <3 <3 <3 Love you moreee~’

He sent the message and began to eat the delicious pizza. Moments later, a reply came. He almost dropped his pizza on the floor in his attempt to get the phone quickly.

‘The usual one right? The bright blue one? I miss and love you more! Don’t worry! I’ll be back soon! We’re almost done~ <3 <3 <3’

Luhan giggled.

‘Yup! Come back soon!!!!! <3 Also, not a chance; I love you way too much!’

He sighed contentedly and continued to eat his pizza.

It was around 30 minutes later that Xiumin, Suho and Baekhyun returned, their arms filled with shopping bags. They wore masks and beanies, covering their facial features. Luhan immediately hugged Xiumin and bringing the boy’s mask down, gave him a little peck. Xiumin laughed as Baekhyun gagged. “I missed you.” Luhan nuzzled Xiumin’s neck. “I missed you too.” Xiumin giggled at Luhan’s touch. “Ah, let us come in first.” Suho said, his tone endearing.

Luhan grabbed the plastic bags from Xiumin and walked in, placing them on the dining table. Xiumin smiled at him. “You didn’t have to do that.” He nudged Luhan. Luhan rolled his eyes. “Of course I do!” He replied. Xiumin just shook his head, smiling. He wrapped his arms around Luhan’s shoulders bringing him in for a kiss. “NO!” They suddenly heard. They turned to see Sehun and Tao standing there. Xiumin and Luhan both immediately began to laugh.

“Our maknaes are ridiculous.” Xiumin commented. “Hey! That’s an insult to me!” Kai yelled from where he was curled up on the couch. “Love you Kai!” Xiumin said sending a heart towards the younger boy. Kai pretended to catch it before giggling. Luhan smiled at the scene but couldn’t help but feel a bit jealous. “Where’s my heart?” He asked Xiumin. Xiumin turned to him.

“You already took mine ages ago.” Xiumin replied softly. Luhan grinned. “And you took mine.” He confessed, leaning into Luhan’s ear.

Luhan hated his life. The stupid managers had decided to change their pairs for the airport and he was now with Chanyeol. Not that he hated Chanyeol or anything, he just really wanted to be with Xiumin. They were currently sat in the plane, in rows of 2.

He sighed for the nth time. Chanyeol turned to him. “Hyung, how many times are you going to sigh? Anyone would think you hate me!” The boy’s tone was playful but Luhan could see slight hurt in the boy’s eyes and immediately felt guilty.

“Sorry Chanyeol-ah. It’s nothing. I was just you know, looking forward to being with Xiumin.” Luhan said apologetically. Chanyeol nodded understandingly. “It’s fine. It must be really difficult having a relationship when we’re idols; especially since it’s a secret and that it’s one of our members.” Chanyeol wondered out loud.

Luhan nodded, placing his head in his hands. “We haven’t even gone on a date yet.” Luhan admitted. Chanyeol looked surprised. “I thought you reserved a place at a restaurant last week.” He asked, confusion in his voice.

Luhan nodded miserably. “I did. But we couldn’t go because of Tao’s injury. Xiumin wanted to take care of him.” Luhan sighed. Chanyeol patted his shoulder comfortingly. “It’s okay.” He said.

Luhan was just falling asleep when Xiumin appeared in front of him. “Luhan.” Xiumin breathed out. “Minseok-ah.” Luhan replied lifting his head. Xiumin smiled at him, the toothy and gummy smile that Luhan adored before leaning in and placing a small kiss on Luhan’s mouth before quickly running away before the managers could see.

Luhan smiled as he heard a beep.

‘Goodnight, I couldn’t resist!’

‘Goodnight <3’

He replied and despite the fact that his body was exhausted, despite the fact that they still hadn’t been on a date, despite the fact that they had to keep their love a secret, Luhan was happy.
