“It’s catchy.” Suho said into the silence. They had just heard a new track, the title track for their comeback. It was called ‘Overdose’. Usually after they heard one of their title tracks, everyone would begin to chatter happily and excitedly. Today, there was only silence. Luhan glanced around in confusion. Why was Chanyeol looking at his feet instead of jumping around? Why was Baekhyun looking away rather than criticising the song with his usual sarcasm? Why wasn’t Chen laughing at the English parts like he usually did and instead staring forward with a blank expression? Suho seemed to have sensed it and had spoken up to end the awkward silence. “Do you guys not like it?” The manager asked. p>

The blunt words seemed to reach Chanyeol who quickly looked up and gave one of his easy smile. “Wow! That was too much for me! I think I got an overdose!” The boy quickly said, pretending to faint before laughing loudly. Soon, everyone was laughing (or rolling their eyes in D.O. and Sehun’s case) at the taller boy. “Someone call the doctor!” Chen said in (horrible) English as he pretended to check Chanyeol’s temperature. Luhan laughed at that. “So, I’m guessing you do like the song?” The manager asked once again. “Of course we do!” Suho reassured. “But!” Baekhyun said loudly and everyone stared at him. “We don’t actually take drugs- how did we get an overdose?” Baekhyun insulted. Luhan smiled as Chanyeol fell forward in laughter. But why did it feel so exaggerated? So fake?

Suho and Kris had gone for a meeting regarding their schedules and other details regarding their comeback. Meanwhile, the other members didn’t have to do anything and were using that time wisely by watching Spongebob. Everyone was gathered around the couch watching the show lazily. The two couches were just able to fit the 10 members and they were squashed together. Luhan didn’t really mind considering Xiumin was on his right side but Tao’s pants were sequined and against Luhan’s unprotected skin (he was wearing basketball shorts), they itched. He laid his head against Xiumin’s shoulder and sighed as Spongebob did his stupidly annoying laugh again. >

“This is boring.” He mumbled into the boy’s shoulder. Xiumin turned slightly. “You were the one who agreed with Kai on wanting to watch it.” Xiumin reminded, an amused smile on his face. Luhan sighed. He had wanted to, but not for- 3 hours and 10 minutes. Kai’s addiction was going to kill them all.

Just as he was about to murder Patrick and his never ending stupidity, the front door opened loudly and Suho walked in, looking furious. “Whoa. Was the meeting that bad?” Baekhyun asked in surprise. Suho was shaking slightly and his voice was filled with hurt and anger. “Where the is Yifan?” He let out. “Kris? Shouldn’t he be with you?” Baekhyun asked, still looking slightly shocked from the boy’s sudden words. “What? He didn’t come to the meeting with me! He said he wanted to go somewhere- that he would meet me there!” Suho said, confusion taking over the anger for a slight moment. Luhan and Xiumin exchanged a look of panic. “He isn’t here.” Tao said helplessly.

“What do you mean he’s not here?” Suho asked, shock and fear appearing in his voice, getting rid of the anger. “He isn’t, not in the dorm anyway.” Sehun continued. “But, if he isn’t here… where is he?” Suho asked and the room filled with silence. p>
