“What? How?” Kris approached Tao who is tearlessly sobbing in time with his trembling.

                “Uhhh, Baekhyun has invited me and the others to their rest house not far from here…” a small memory made its way to Kris’ attention. Baekhyun and his family do have a rest house around the area. “… and he said that he wants to go to some cliff…” Kris remembers that, too. They used to play a lot on that cliff, under a very old tree. “… but the storm started to hit and… and we can’t contact him,” Tao is already crying.

                “My bodyguards can’t help. They’re stuck in the hotel fifteen minutes away from here and the snow is getting high,” Kyungsoo informed them as he set is phone down. Jongin immediately went to him and gave his shoulders a reassuring squeeze. “Stupid Baekhyun,” he growled.

                “What did we miss?” Luhan asked as he descended the steps. Sehun is following close behind. “Wu Yi Fan! Where do you think you’re going?!” he nagged when he saw his bestfriend walk over to the jacket closet and pulled one over himself.

                “I know where Baek probably is,” Kris reasoned.

                “Are you out of your ing mind? There’s a storm outside, Kris!”

                “That’s the point, Luhan! It’s ing cold outside and Baek might be in danger!” Kris snapped as he secured gloves on his hand. He rummaged through the trekking gear that are displayed beneath the jackets and shoved the essentials inside a bag and he slung it over his shoulder.

                “And what if you get hurt in the process of saving him?” Luhan crossed his arms stubbornly as he blocked Kris’ path.

                “Move, Luhan.”

                “No. I won’t let you out into that storm.”

                “Try and stop me then,” Kris gave him a stern look that made Luhan froze on the spot. Kris is dead serious and it is pointless to even try and stop him. “Here,” Kris gave Kyungsoo an expensive looking gadget. “It’ll track my phone. If you see that I’m not moving from a place for a long time, you can come check on me,” and he was out of the door.

               “Brrr…” Baekhyun couldn’t help his teeth to chatter. He’s been out here in the cold for hours already. Six hours and thirty-four minutes to be precise. It’s a good thing that his watch is one of the top of the line products that their company has created so it works perfectly fine in this stupidly freezing weather but he can’t so much for his phone which he forgot to charge.

                He’s scolding himself for getting stuck in this snow storm. It’s a good thing that he was able to find shelter in an opening by the side of a rocky formation so he stayed there but he wasn’t expecting to be staying there for this long. He sighed. He was just supposed to give on to his craving of reminiscing by going to the tree where he and Kris usually played when they were kids. Kris was eight and Baek was seven then. He has just wanted to relive the moments where it seemed that the world revolved around them, playing and kissing playfully.

                Baekhyun can’t remember how their young selves’ show of affection became kisses. It sounds weird but well, it happened. He used to spend his summer with Kris here so this place holds a special place in his heart. That’s one thing why he chose to go to their vacation house in winter. He has overheard that Kris and the rest of them are to spend Christmas vacation here.
