Finally
Stupidly Perfect, Perfectly Stupid“How is Luhan, dear?” Mrs. Wu asked as she saw her son enter the dining hall. Everyone is on their desserts when Kris was able to join them. He occupied the vacant seat beside his mother and heaved a heavy sigh as he sat.
“I tucked him in because he fell asleep. You can just crash here since your driver is indisposed,” Kris smiled apologetically to Chanyeol.
“I don’t mind,” Jongin answered as he downed the last bit of his ice cream.
“Chanyeol and I will pass,” Kyungsoo volunteered and before Chanyeol can open his mouth to oppose, he not so lightly stepped on his bestfriend’s foot. Chanyeol groaned and was about to scold Kyungsoo for being violent again but the death glare made the decision final.
“Come on, Kyungsoo. You’re all welcome to stay here for the night,” Mrs. Wu said. Knowing that his bestfriend is bad at making excuses and Kyungsoo might sound rude, Chanyeol decided to intercede.
“Kyungsoo and I need to prepare for the term’s final exam next week, mom. Maybe next time?” calling Mrs. Wu ‘mom’ is not as difficult as he thought it would be. She is a very good person.
“I understand. Good for you to know your priorities. As much as I want you for my son, I admire your value for your studies,” Mrs. Wu also smiled at Kyungsoo who returned it with his heart-shaped smile.
“Speaking of crashing, we’ll be going ahead, auntie. We’ll be staying with Baek until our flight on Monday morning,” Heechul declared and Key nodded to affirm.
“If you need anything, you can just come over like you used to, okay? No need to feel shy,” the brothers made their way to Kris’ mom and said their goodbyes. “Baekhyun? How about you?” Baekhyun slowly stood up and said goodbye also. He had been awfully quiet the whole night and Chanyeol was a little bothered about it. He’s not fond of Baekhyun but the thought of hurting someone, directly or implicitly, doesn’t feel good. It also didn’t pass his notice that Kris looked like he’s the one to blame. When the three siblings have made their way out, Kyungsoo stood up and said his gratitude to Mrs. Wu’s hospitality.
“We greatly appreciate your warm welcome, Mrs. Wu.”
“That’s auntie for you, Kyungsoo-yah. Jongin is like a son to me, too,” Kris’ mom took him into a hug and Kyungsoo can’t help but blush. Chanyeol followed and his new mom didn’t hesitate to give him a hug again and she lightly pulled his head down to kiss his forehead.
“Why do you kids have to be giants?” he laughed lightly with her.
“Thank you, mom. For everything.” For giving me a chance to get to be your son’s boyfriend.
“Don’t mention it. I just want my son to be happy and I’m sure that he can be with you,” Chanyeol grinned his toothy grin and kissed her cheek.
“You’re the best mom next to my mom.”
“This silly kid. Move along. You don’t want to stay up late so that you can study properly tomorrow,” even though Kris is not yet on half of his meal, he excused himself to bring his visitors to the door. Jongin and Kyungsoo were a few steps ahead so they didn’t see that Kris slipped his hand on Chanyeol’s again. The shock made the latter’s step falter and because Chanyeol doesn’t have full control on his feet, he stumbled forward. He waited for the usual painful contact to ground but a pair of strong hands steadied him.
“Hey, careful,” Kris’ breath on Chanyeol’s cheek means that Kris is too close on him. He slowly opened his eyes that automatically shut when he tripped and just a few hairs away is Kris and his perfection. It felt like eternity to be looking in his beautiful eyes and it’s much too comfortable in his arms than outside them.
“You can just kiss. I won’t mind,” Mrs. Wu giggl
