Kris’ books are staring right back at him because mid-terms is already hovering above his head. Not that he has to pour himself over to studying. It was a great distraction over his heavy heart. A few weeks has passed but he still can’t shake away the guilt that bugs him everytime he spies those cute elf ears of one cute giant. He heard that Chanyeol has gone over to the Music club with Kyungsoo after he left the basketball team. He has also heard that he’s eating lunch at the music room instead of the cafeteria. He has also heard that Chanyeol has gotten himself a little fans club after he had his haircut. This has made Kris chew the inside of his cheek. He felt uneasy whenever he hears somebody talking about Chanyeol. If he doesn’t know better, he’ll think that he’s jealous.

                Kris shook his head before his thoughts wander off somewhere. His phone laying on top of his books lit up. He didn’t bother to check who’s calling and he regretted that the moment he heard the voice from the other end.

                “Yi Fan!”

                “What now, Luhan?”

                “I need to copy your notes.”

                “What if I won’t let you to teach your lazy to jot them down yourself during class?”

                “You’re such a giant meanie!” Kris just chuckled and he put his phone away. Around ten minutes later, his bedroom door slammed open, revealing an upset Luhan with his school bag slung on his shoulders. “You’re such a giant meanie!”

                “Yeah, last time I heard,” he went back to sorting out his books because he knows that he will end up not getting any study time with Luhan there.

                “Why do you hog them anyway? You can always top even without your notes,” Luhan grumbled as he threw his bag on Kris’ couch and plopped himself on Kris’ bed. He spared his laying bestfriend a glance and he knew that Luhan came over not because of notes but because he is running away from someone. The flushed cheeks are the best evidence. Kris came over to his bed and sat next to Luhan.

                “Okay, what happened this time?” Kris prompted and Luhan groaned. He hated how well Kris knows him.

                “We were pairing up for practice and with all the luck that I have, I ended up with him,” him being Oh Sehun the parrot head.

                “Well, you’ve got a handful of luck then,” Kris chuckled.

                “Shut up, Kris,” Luhan covered his eyes with his arm. “And Kim Jongin has been hanging around him all the time! Which means that I can’t even go to my own home!” he grumbled some more. Kris’s eyes softened.

                “Why do you keep pushing the kid away? You like him back, don’t you?”

                “That’s beside the point! He has my heart broken once! I will not let him do that again,” Luhan propped up on his arms and glared at Kris. He never can understand Luhan’s logic. He’s wooed by the person he likes and yet he runs away from him.

                “Just give him a chance…”

                “Nope.”

                “Soo! I don’t get this!” Chanyeol threw his notebook across his room. He’s been staring at that stupid math problem for ten minutes already but he can’t figure out the answer. Kyungsoo looked up from his own work and picked up the discarded notebook.

                “Yeol, think about it. If you do well with this exams, you will never be called stupid again,” Kyungsoo has been all about ‘Changing Chanyeol for the Better’ so he helped his giant bestfriend with his studies and his talent in music. He makes Chanyeol compose songs that he’ll sing and he teaches him patiently with their academics. He’s keeping Chanyeol busy to keep his mind off a certain dark haired tower who Chanyeol can’t help but keep on shooting hidden glances.

                Chanyeol knows that Kyungsoo means no harm and his little bestfriend’s secret agenda is not so secret. Kyungsoo is many things but he’s a terrible liar. Whenever the other knows that Kris is around, he would pull Chanyeol away or he would distract him. It may have worked a few times but Chanyeol is still helplessly head over heels for Kris. After days and days of denying it to himself, he woke up one day and didn’t put up a fight anymore. He just kept it a secret from Kyungsoo because he saw how happy he looks like when he thinks that Chanyeol has already forgotten about his stupid crush.

                “Where’s Sehun-ah, anyway?” Chanyeol blurted out before Kyungsoo could see through his thoughts.

                “Where else? He’s probably with Jongin doing who knows what,” Kyungsoo answered bitterly.
