The days quickly passed by, and you and L. Joe were found around each other often.

Even Kyung Mi's efforts to get in between you two were fruitless. One day, Kyung Mi grew frustrated. While she was enjoying so time with L. Joe, she caught a glimpse of you walking warily down the hall while carrying a stack of books.

'Lazy teachers these days.' You sighed. 'What I do to get on their good side.'

'Oh crap.' Kyung Mi thought. 'If Byunghun oppa sees her, then he'll go to her.'

"Oppa, I forgot something in my classroom. Come with me?" She held her hands together and pouted. "You don't need to plead; it isn't a big deal to just follow you to your classroom." L. Joe shrugged.

"Wah! Thanks oppa." She beamed and held his hand. "Kaja!" She quickly began to pull him away.

Since you were carrying a huge stack of books, your mind was completely focused on balancing each and every book, and so you did not notice Kyung Mi or L. Joe. You heard chatting from beyond your stack of books and carefully stepped towards the side to avoid colliding into them. Unfortunately, the people chatting were completely ignorant to their surroundings and ended up bumping into you, despite your efforts to avoid them.

You tower of books came crashing down and a few books smacked the person on his head.

"Yah!" He yelled. "Watch where you're going, !"

The guy's friend glanced at you and whispered in his friend's ear. "Dude, don't tick her off. I heard she pummeled the Queenkas before."

The guy looked you up from head to toe. "What? This scrawny girl? I bet I could knock her out with one punch!"

You glared at him with cold eyes. "Are you challenging me?"

The guy looked down at you. "I would, but I don't hit girls-" "Or," You interrupted. "You're afraid of losing to a girl."

"Mwoh?!" He gaped at you, flabbergasted.

You smirked at him. 'So easy to provoke idiots.' You bent down and began to gather your books.

"You little ." He raised a tight fist but before he could attempt to harm you, a hand grabs his wrist. Hard.

"Ugh." He grunted in pain. "Who the fu-" He looked up and his eyes met L. Joe's.

"L-L. Joe hyung." The guy stuttered in a mixture of shock and fear. L. Joe stared at him with burning eyes.

"What do you think you're doing to her?" L. Joe asked in a monotonous tone.

"I-I..." The boy was flustered and speechless.

"If I catch you picking on her again, I'll hunt you down and tear you limb by limb. Got it?" L. Joe hissed and the grip on his wrist tightened.

He quietly yelped. His friend grabbed L. Joe's hand and tried to pry his hand off his friend.

"He won't pick on her again, let him go!" His friend swore.

L. Joe gave him one last look before releasing him.

"Let's go." His friend insisted and they both quickly left.

L. Joe glanced down at you. "You okay?"

You nodded. "I could have handled that guy on my own, you know. You didn't have to intervene."

"That's the first thing you tell me once I save you? You're too much." L. Joe crossed his arms with a huff.

You chortled. "Alright, thanks."

L. Joe bent down and helped you stack the rest of the books.

"Can you handle it?" L. Joe asked.

"Of course I can." You assured and carefully lifted the pile of books. "Thanks for the help, oppa." You smiled sweetly and began towards your destination.

"Oppa." Kyung Mi tapped her foots on the floor impatiently. "Can we go now?"

L. Joe watched you as you took small steps, balancing the stack of books in your hands.

"You know what," L. Joe started. "You go on ahead."

"Mwoh?" Kyung Mi stared at L. Joe in disbelief.

L. Joe walked towards you and snatched half of the stack away.

"Whoa!" You yelped in shock, thinking that the books have toppled over. You looked towards the floor to not see a single book on the floor, but instead a pair of feet.

"Yo." L. Joe nodded to you.

"Yah, you scared me!" You lightly bumped him with your shoulder. "I thought I dropped the books again."

"So where are we heading?" L. Joe asked. "Follow me." You instructed and walked ahead, no longer needing to worry about balancing a tall stack of books.

Kyung Mi watched you and L. Joe's retreating figures with a clenched jaw and fists.

'Byunghun oppa left me for... her.' She growled.

Her heart raced with frustration. 'Why?! Why can't he put me first over her? Before they met, he always took care of me. Now I'm invisible or something?!' Her heart urged for L. Joe's attention more than ever. 'I'll get my way. I'll make sure that Byunghun oppa goes to my side instead of that 's side.' Kyung Mi swore as she began to devise a plan to make her desire come true.

As she stood there in deep thoughts, a group of girls walked by, gossiping about the newest news.

"I can't believe that would have an affair with her own best friend's boyfriend!" "I know right? Such a ."

Kyung Mi brightened. 'I got it! But first, I need some sources...'

She turned to trail after you and L. Joe.

After you put the books away in the supply closet, you turned to him and smiled. "Thanks, again."

"No problem." L. Joe said and turned to leave.

"Oppa?" You said. L. Joe looked your way. "I was just wondering..." L. Joe raised his eyebrow in interest "I was just, uh." You glanced away from L. Joe and looked back at him again. "I see that you and Kyung Mi are really close. So I was wondering what she means to you." You said.

L. Joe blinked at the unexpected question. "Well, we're pretty close. She close to all of Teen Top, actually." L. Joe confessed.

'But she only around you.' You made a face at the thought. "So she's just a friend, right?"

L. Joe nodded. You relaxed a little and let out a soft sigh of relief. Suddenly, a spark of curiosity lit in L. Joe's eyes.

"Why do you want to know?" "Because." You said. "It would be annoying if I found out my best friend is obsessing over some girl." 'A girl especially as two-faced as her.' You huffed.

L. Joe smirked, seeing through your lie. "Are you sure? Because I think it is jealousy."

You gawked at him. "Mwoh? You seriously think I will get jealous of someone like her? You must be dreaming." You scoffed.

"Don't deny it. I can see right through you." L. Joe stated with a grin.

You grew slightly red.

"I'm not jealous."

"You are~"

"Not."

"You are~"

"NOT."

"You are~~"

"I AM NOT-" You took a deep breath and glared at him. "Screw you." You growled and exited the room.

L. Joe chuckled at your reaction. 'She's so fun to tease.'

Not having any more purposes to be in the supply closet, L. Joe wandered out. 'I wonder if Kyung Mi still needs me.'

"Oppa."

L. Joe turned towards the voice. "Kyung Mi."

Kyung Mi stared at L. Joe with a sullen expression.

"What's... wrong?" L. Joe asked.

"I feel like... we've grown apart from each other. We weren’t as close to each other as we were before." Kyung Mi whimpered with tears evident in her eyes. "I'm afraid that since we aren't that close to each other anymore, people will try to hurt me again... like what happened when we were younger." Kyung Mi sniffed.

"Don't be stupid." L. Joe said. "If anyone wants to hurt you, they'll be answering to Teen Top. So don't be afraid."

"Oppa..." Kyung Mi tearfully smiled. "You care for me, right?"

"I care for all my friends."

Kyung Mi cringed at the words 'friends' but quickly recovered. "Thanks for the comfort, oppa." She closed the gap between them and gave him a hug.

"Uh, no problem." L. Joe awkwardly patted her back.

The school bell rang, signaling that class will be starting soon. L. Joe pulled Kyung Mi away from him.

"I'm going to class now, see you later." L. Joe said and left with a wave.

"Anneyong, oppa! See you later!" Kyung Mi waved with a big smile till L. Joe's figure disappeared.

Her wide smile slowly mutated into a sly grin. 'I've got the perfect plan.'
