Author's POV

Dara counted each step her father took right in front of her. After each step she felt her heart beat faster with one extra beat. She felt as if she was sweating yet when she tried wiping her forehead with the back of her hand there was nothing. She wondered why after all these years, after all the birthdays she had been through, she still couldn't help but feel like that seven year old girl who broke down crying with just the thought of entering that house. 

Donghae who was walking silently but definitely excitedly, beside her only then realised that Dara had been acting weird ever since they got on his car. He thought Dara was just exaggerating earlier when her father stated that they will be visiting some relatives but seeing her flushed and slightly trembling made him worry to his bones. 

Gently nudging her on the side with his elbow, he managed to attract her attention right away. When she turned her head to face him he knew something was wrong immediately. Something was really wrong. He could see it from the way she furrowed her brows and from the way she bit her lips into a thin line.

"Are you okay?" he mouthed without making a sound. He wanted to smack his face for being so dumb. How could he be so stupid? Obviously she wasn't okay. He could tell.

When Dara gave no reply, Donghae didn't even think for a second, it was like instinct to him that he grabbed her small hand and squuezed it gently as if telling her he would stay with her no matter what. No words were required to be spoken. 

With that Dara couldn't help but smile lightly as she interlaced his fingers with his. It was as if a part of her worries had disappeared, not completely gone yet it was bearable. It was as if they were sharing the fear, the worry and the anxiety. She couldn't help but wonder if that what love was, sharing each and every moment together. Through better or worse.

"Aigoo this place never change. It's still in shackles like how it used to be." Dara's father chuckled sounding a bit too proud of the place as if he hadn't insulted it with a comment.

Only then Dara finally looked up and glanced through the place. She couldn't help but feel nostalgic with the sight, just like her father said, the place hadn't changed a bit. The front garden looked more like a mini jungle with grass that went above their knees. Wild flowers were scattered prettily in random places. Pieces of broken vases were hard to be missed as their blade pointed upwards as if they were ready to devour some poor soul's feet. She bet that Donghae could easily mistake this front garden as some war field filled with traps set for the enemy and Dara was right, Donghae was indeed considering the similarity. 

"I hope they're home." Dara's father muttered before pressing on the doorbell for a good second. 

For a few minutes the house seemed deserted with no sound to be heard. Dara's father tried ringing the bell once again but this time he knocked while calling out Dara's aunts and uncles' names. 

Just hearing their names made all the memories flood back into her mind. Dara's eyes immediately widened after remembering the fact why she hated visiting this side of the family. 

(Dara) Donghae.....

Dara pulled Donghae's hand harshly making him almost yelp as he lost his balance and fall into her embrace. Being Dara who was half his height, half his weight, she couldn't carry his weight making them both fall onto the lond grass. The light thud was quickly followed by the sound of cracking vases. 

Donghae's eyes grew wide as he watched Dara's pained face who was right beneath him.

"Dara!!" he screamed with fear, almost loud enough to crack a perfectly good vase near them.

Without hesitating for a second, he got off her and pulled her up in his arms. Instead of lifting her up he flipped her around like a pancake and started feeling her back starting from her head. 

"Donghae I'm o..." Dara coughed lightly feeling the oxygen escape her lungs from the tightness of his hold. Before she could continue speaking, she felt his hand reach down nearing an are which was definitely off limits for him. (A/N:  for now anyway.... kekeke jk jk :P)

Donghae just kept checking her back for any signs of bleeding. His heart was beating loudly and his breathing grew rapid as his fear began increasing. He was scared that after they had fallen like that, there was a big chance that she fell on a broken pieces of a vase. He just kept feeling her without realising that he began gliding his palm up and down her bare legs and over her small bottom that she had always been insecure of.

"Donghae what are you doing!" Dara shrieked, suddenly gaining the strength to struggle but not enough to escape his embrace. 

"Dara where does it hurt? Tell me!" he ordered, sounding as if he was on the verge of crying. 

"Dude I would appreciate it if you would stop feeling my dear cousin's flat ." a soft but husky voice interrupted the moment making the couple look up to where the voice came from. 

"Sanghyun?" Dara questioned, obviously wasn't sure herself.

The teenager stood tall in front of the couple, his face was obviously a heartbreaker with his mouth watering lips and melting eyes. It was expected since she hadn't seen her cousins for the past years 4 years even though she was actually closer to their house when she moved to Seoul. Her cousin grew up so much it was obvious from his voice and from the pain Dara received from looking up too much at him. 

"Donghae I'm okay now please let go off me." Dara announced, feeling her face warm up from Donghae's sudden intimacy. 

"But I heard something break?" Donghae cried out almost pathetically. He didn't care, all he cared about was Dara's safety.

"You see my cousins have the habit of throwing stones at their guests for some unknown reason that's why I pulled you. It must've hit one of the vase's broken pieces on the floor." Dara muttered a-matter-of-factly. "Who would've thought they still have the same hobby after all these years?" 

"Yeah who would?" Donghae chuckled awkwardly trying to ease his embarrassment. 

"Ermmm Donghae...." 

"Hmm?"

"Can you please move your hand away from my bottom and kindly let me stand?" 

Donghae's eyes grew wider as he noticed where his hand was resting too comfortably on.

"Sorry..." He quickly retracted his hand and stood up quickly making Dara who was lying on his knees fall onto the ground with quite a loud thump. 

"Sorry.." he muttered shyly once again. 

His cheeks grew as red as an apple while he tried looking anywhere but Dara. As he tried to escape her stare he caught a glimpse of
