My mouth fell open, but nothing came out. The secret was out, it's time Lay and I confess to the guys and possibly the whole school. "I-" "Minji saw me walking and offered me a ride and no we're not dating." Lay cut me off. I turned to him surprised, why did he just lie?

The guys all nodded. "Whoa what did you hit?" Kai asked looking at the busted headlight. I laughed nervously, "o-oh...a shopping cart ran into it while I was grocery shopping." I lied. Lay looked at me and gave me a 'why did you lie?' look. I bit my lip and turned away, "well I have to go...bye." I quickly walked pass the guys.

"Wait Minji!" Tao called after me. I turned back as he ran after me, "you busy today?" he asked. I looked over at Lay, who was looking at me while talking to Chen. "Uh...yeah." I lied looking back at Tao. "Oh." his face fell, "well what about tomorrow?" I looked back at Lay, but he was walking away with the guys.

"Um I-I don't think so." I replied. "Really?!" Tao lit up, "I heard they opened a brand new roller coaster ride at Everland, want to go?" he offered. "Uh-" "That would be great." Sehun came and placed his arm around Tao. I let my breath out, thanks Sehun. "We should all go." he added.

My eyes widen, "what?!" "Go where?" Xiumin asked. "Everland." Sehun replied. "But you weren't invite-" "Oh that would be fun, I'm free this weekend." Chanyeol cut Tao off. "But-" "How about Saturday?" D.O joined in. "Saturday's cool with me." Baekhyun replied.

"Me too, let's make it a group thing and invite Kris, Suho and Luhan." Kai added. I looked back and forth as the guys made arrangements. "I'm busy Saturday so count me out." I said walking away. "Wait Minji!" I heard Tao call after me. "Wait Tao can we use your car?" Xiumin held him back.

I couldn't help but laugh, "thanks guys." 

By lunch the guys were still talking about their big day at Everland. "We can get Luhan to carry all of our things again." Xiumin joked. "Yah don't talk about him behind his back!" Sehun scolded and threw a couple of chips at his face. "Where is everyone going?" Hani asked as she sat down.

It was weird, we went from daydreaming about EXO from afar to actually sitting down at their table. "Everland, want to come?" Baekhyun replied. "Really?! I haven't been there forever." Hani lit up. "No girls allowed!" Sehun shouted, "we already have them at our lunch table."

Hani pouted and sat back. "Aish this kid." D.O scolded him and pulled his hair. "Ow!" Sehun cried and glared at him. "You can come if you want." D.O smiled at Hani. "Only if Minji goes." she clung her arm to mine. "I'm not." I said. Her face fell,"why?" she complained.

"I'm busy." I replied taking a bite of my food. Hani's shoulders fell, "I guess I'm not going." "So Minji, Hani and Lay all aren't going?" Kai asked. I looked over at Lay, who was bobbing his head to his music. Hum why isn't he going? I wondered. "Yeah, oh well they're missing out." Xiumin said taking a piece of Chen's pizza. "Yah!" Chen yelled at him.

"Minji?" Someone nudged my arm. "Huh?" I turned away from Lay and looked to see who it was. "You really can't go?" Tao asked. I nodded, "yeah I have something important to do this Saturday sorry." I replied. Tao sat back, "I really wanted you to go." 

So you can show me off to another on of your ex's? I thought, but instead I smiled and shrugged my shoulders, "sorry." And continued eating feeling happy about my decision.

I had to wait 30 minutes after school for everyone to be gone. I defiantly didn't want to be seen driving home, that and I didn't want to risk running into someone and be made fun of. I looked around, "did he leave?" I asked out loud and took my phone out.

Minji [3:35] Where are you?

Lay [3:37] I had to get Tao off my back, I'm on my way right now.

Minji [3:38] Hurry up!

I sighed and decided to wait in the car. I turned the radio on and began playing Angry Birds. "Weee~" I said as the bird flew across the screen. 

Knock Knock

I jumped a little and looked outside. Lay was pointing at the door lock. "Oh." I said and quickly unlocked the car. He opened the door and got in, "where were you?" I asked. "Sorry Tao wanted me to walk with him to work and I had to make an excuse to leave." he replied.

"Really? Then maybe you should drive since you drive faster." I offered. "No, you're good just go." Lay waved his hand. I bit my lip, "okay." I said turning on the car. I slowly pulled out of the parking lot. "So why aren't you going with the guys?" I asked turning to him.

"Keep your eyes on the road." he scolded. "Yes!" I quickly looked back. "Remember to keep an eye on the rear view mirror and make sure you aren't going pass the speed limit." Lay added. "I don't have that many eyes!" I shouted. "Stay focus Minji don't yell." he said.

I took a deep breath and gripped the steering wheel. "Someone seems upset." I said. "I'm not upset I just want you to do well on your test this Saturday which is why I'm not going to Everland." he replied. "Really?" I looked at him surprise. "Eyes on the road!" he yelled.

"Sorry!" I yelled and looked back. There was an awkward silence. "So..." I trailed on. "What?" Lay asked. "W-why did you lie this morning?" I asked. "I don't know, I guess it just came out." he replied. "I thought we were going to tell them today." I said making a stop. Driving doesn't seem that difficult anymore.

"Yeah I thought so too, oh well." Lay said with a sigh. I looked back at the road and started going. I was somewhat glad Lay lied, especially since it made Tao jealous. I giggled at the thought of Tao being jealous of Lay. "What's up with you?" Lay asked. I shook my head, "nothing."

"Yay I made it back!" I cheered and clapped my hands. Lay smiled and took off his seatbelt, "okay just because you think you can drive doesn't mean you can go out and start driving in the city, especially if I'm not with you." he said getting out. I pouted, "then what's the point of driving?"

"Until you officially get your license and have actual practice, then you can drive where ever you want." Lay replied. I sighed, "I guess." 

We walked into the house and Lay quickly ran upstairs. I kicked my shoes off and dragged my feet to the living room. Another day alone, at first I thought it would be fun having the house to myself. But now that I think about it, it's very lonely and boring.

"I'll be back around 8." Lay said coming back downstairs changed into his working clothes. "Yeah yeah." I waved my hand up, "have fun." I said turning the t.v on. Lay stopped at the door, "you okay?" he asked. I bit my nails, "yeah have fun." I replied. Lay sighed and stepped out.

Two hours passed and I was beyond bored. I was even sitting upside down on the couch hoping that watching t.v like that would entertain me more. It didn't. I sighed and sat back down, "I'm so bored." I complained. I turned the t.v off and walked to the kitchen, maybe eating will keep me busy.

I opened the fridge and found nothing to eat, not even milk, which I hate. I groaned and closed it, "I'm going crazy!" I cried and went over to the cabinets, but again there was nothing. Not even a single pack of Ramen. I let my breath out and reached on top of the fridge to grab the cookie jar when something fell down.

I bent over and picked it up, it was an envelop which had "emergency" written across it. "What's this?" I asked out loud and opened it. Inside was a small note, I took it out and read out loud. "Just in case you two get hungry heres $100. P.S don't tell your dad. Qui." 

My eyes widen and I reached in taking out the nice $100 bill. "Whoa! Thanks Qui." I smiled and put it in my pocket. "I can go buy groceries." I smiled and ran to the door. I put my shoe on when something popped in my head. "Okay just because you think you can drive doesn't mean you can go out and start driving in the city, especially if I'm not with you." Lay's words rang in my head.

I sighed and leaned against the wall, "but the store is too far and I can drive there just fine." I said out loud and looked at the keys which were in my hand. "Well Lay wouldn't know." I said to myself, "I'll be here way before 8 and he'll never know." I put my other shoe on and turned the indoor lights off.

"I'll be quick." I said as I stepped out and went to Qui's car.

LAY POV

"So why aren't you going with us?" Tao asked as we placed the chairs on top of the tables. It was a really slow day and we decided to close early. "Because I'm busy." I replied. "Or is it because Minji isn't going." he joked. I didn't say anything and smiled. "I-I was just kidding." Tao said.

I nodded, "I know." I turned to him and smiled. "D-do you like Minji?" he asked with a worried look on his face. I couldn't help but laugh, "no I don't like her, why?" I looked at him. "N-no reason." he laughed nervously and scratched the back of his head. I raised my brow and turned away, "yeah right."

"Thank you so much." Mrs. Zhang said pinching my cheeks. It was her way of saying goodbye. "Bye Mrs. Zhang have a nice day." I bowed. "Aigo so handsome, when am I going to meet your girlfriend?" she asked. I laughed, "I don't have one." "What?! A boy like you should have tons of girlfriends." she said.

"Grandma stop." Tao complained. I laughed and waved, "I'll see you tomorrow." "Bye honey have a safe walk back home." Mrs. Zhang waved back with a smile on her face. I walked out and looked at me watch, "only 6, I should buy Minji something to eat." I said going to near by food stand.

"Two bowls of tteobokki to go!" I told the elder woman standing behind the food stand. "Yes!" she yelled back. I nodded and walked over to the fridge and grabbed two sodas. "Here you go, $10." she said handing me a bag. I gave her the money in exchange for the food. "Thank you." I bowed and walked away.

"I got a boy meotjin! I got a boy chakhan! I got a boy handsome boy nae mam da gajyeogan. Dang it Minji has that sing stuck in my head." I sang out loud as I walked to our street. I looked down at the bag, "I hope she likes this." I said to myself as I entered our drive way when something caught my eye.

I looked over and saw that my moms car was gone. My eyes widen and I dropped the bag. "Oh no." I was shocked. "Oh no no no no no!" I quickly took my phone out, "please tell me you didn't drive." I dialed Minji's number. "Come on come on come on." I paced around when the phone rang.

"The number you're trying to reach is currently unavailable." the operator said. "No!" I cried and dialed again, but no answer. "Minji." I cried and began running. I looked left and right, "where would she go?!" I panicked and ran to the right. "Minji pick up!" I yelled as she didn't answer.

I got this bad feeling in my gut, what if something bad happened to her? I shook my thoughts away and slowed down to catch my breath, "s-she probably just went to Hani's house." I said nodding, "Hani's house isn't that far...right?" I looked up and saw an ambulance speed pass me.

My eyes widen and my stomach fell, "no." I panicked and ran after it. "Move!" I yelled and pushed people aside as I tried running after the ambulance. "Move!" I grew frustrated as they wouldn't listen. I had to find Minji, what if she got in a car accident? I shook my head as I felt tears forming. "Mr. Lee is going to kill me." I closed my eyes and stopped as the ambulance turned the corner.

What if she's dead? My heart sank and I looked up, "no." I cried and ran after it not stopping for anything, not even my throbbing legs that begged me to stop. I turned the corner and saw a bunch of police cars followed by a car flipped over. "Oh no!" I ran faster to the scene. I walked pass and saw a grey car, the same one that my mom has. "No!" I ran to it.

"Sorry no ones allowed except for family members." a police held me back. "No that's Minji!" I cried and tried getting out of his grip. "I need back up!" he yelled. Just then two other police men held me back. "Go away I need to see her!" I cried and threw my fist around.

"Sir calm down!" One yelled and slammed me on the ground. Tears were running down my eyes, "Minji!" I cried and reached for the car that was damaged beyond repair. "Let me go!" I cried as the police dragged me away. "I'm sorry, but you're going to have to leave." one told me as I sat on the ground.

I shook my head trying to control my tears, "b-but that's m-m..my-" "Lay?" I heard someone say. I turned around and saw Minji holding bags in both hands. I rubbed my eyes and made sure I wasn't seeing things. "Minji?" I asked. The police released me as I stood up.

She looked around, "w-what are you doing here?" she asked. "Minji!" I yelled and ran to her, it wasn't some crazy mirage. I pulled her into a hug, "I thought you died!" I cried digging my face into her hair. "Omo Lay are you crying?" she asked. I pulled away and touched her face, "I told you not to drive."

"B-but I was-" "It doesn't matter as long as you're okay." I pulled her back into a hug. "Lay you're squishing me." she struggled to say. "Sorry." I pulled away and brushed my tears away. She tilted her head, "you thought I was dead?" she asked. I nodded, "and don't worry about he car we have insurance." I said pointing at the flipped car.

Minji looked, "uh...that's not your moms car." she said. "What?" I tilted my head. Minji laughed nervously, "uh...I ran out of gas. Your moms car is sitting in the parking lot." she said. I let my breath out in relief. "A-are you mad?" she asked. I shook my head and quickly pulled her into another hug.

"Don't you ever scare me like that again."
