It was past 8am. Amber frequently visits Key's grandmother since she got out of the hospital two weeks ago.

"Luna, I wouldn't be home until the afternoon. There is already marinated chicken in the fridge. Cook it if you like for lunch." Amber said as she was fixing her bag.

"Unnie. Are you all right?" Luna asked.

"Mwo? Why? What makes you think I'm not okay?"

"Nothing unnie."

"Seriously? What? Is there something on my face?"

"No. It's just that I'm a little worried. Things with Henry oppa and now with..."

"I'll be fine." Amber said with a smile.

"You have to understand unnie. I just want you to be careful."

"Don't worry Luna. I don't see Key in that way at all."

"Really?"

"Yes. Do you know why I really like being around him?"

"Wae?"

"I feel safe when I'm with him. I get the chance to not think about Henry for once and actually be able to help. It's like being with him is some sort of therapy.."

"Okay unnie. Just look out for yourself okay?"

"Don't worry Sunyoung. I'll be fine."

Amber left and headed for Key's apartment. She just took the bus to head there.

As soon as she arrived, she knocked on the door.

"Annyeohaseyo. Key, it's me Amber! Can you open the door."

Nobody answered. Amber knocked again.

"Hello?"

Amber tried to open the door knob and she was surprised to find that it was open.

"I'm coming in." She shouted.

She crept in and was startled to find Key's grandma sitting down by the low table.

"Halmeoni, are you okay?"

"Ahh, Amber. Hello dear. Please sit down."

"Where's Key halmeoni?"

"Ahh. He just went out to run some errands if I'm not mistaken."

"Halmeoni have you eaten?"

"Ahh yes. I just finished."

Amber then headed to the kitchen and saw the pile of dishes lying on the sink.

"Ahh Amber please. I'll fix that a bit later."

"No halmeoni. You should rest. The doctor said so. I'm fine."

"Aiish. Thank you dear."

"Halmeoni, would you like some tea?"

"Sure dear. Help yourself as well."

Soon as Amber finished the dishes, she grabbed two cups.

"By the way dear, you no longer need to boil water. Key prepared some this morning."

"Ahh yes yes. Halmeoni, where are the teabags?"

"Ah, just get them from the second cupboard."

Amber opened the second cupboard but was surprised that a box of teabags dropped.

"Amber are you all right?"

"Neh. Halmeoni. Gwenchana."

Amber then noticed the tea. She read the label and realized that the tea she was about to use was some sort of expensive brand.

"This tea. I know these are exclusively bought at a certain market." She mumbled.

She whipped tea and handed a cup to grandma.

"Ahh thank you."

Amber then noticed something about the tea. It smelled really familiar.

"This tea smells really aromatic."

"Taste it dear. It tastes better than you expect."

Amber took a sip. Her eyes widened in surprise. "This tea."

"Woah. Seems like you've already tasted this tea."

"Ahh, yes. Key gave me some on the night we met."

A moment of silence followed until Key's grandma asked how the two met.

"Ahh, well let's just say I was about to do something really stupid and Key stopped me from doing it." Amber said.

"I'm really happy you came dear."

"Mwo? Why halmeoni?"

"Well, you see.. Kibum isn't really the gloomy type. He had always been  a cheeful and energetic kid. He would tease most of his friends but would protect them in times of need. He is also very sweet. I get sick easily when he was younger. There was this time he didn't go to school just to take care of me.."

Amber smiled. "Wow. He seems really different the way I see him now. How did he turn into what he is?"

"Well let's just say that a tragic incident happened in Key's life and he had taken a beating from it. He was never the same since then."

Key's grandma started crying. She held Amber's hand. "Please dear.. Save Key from the darkness that is consuming him. I know you can. Ever since that night you met him, I saw this hope on his face. He started smiling once again. He started opening up once again.. I beg you Amber.."

She then bowed her head.

"Aigoo. Halmeoni.. please don't bow your head. In fact I should be the one thankful to Key. He is somewhat my savior.. Don't worry. I'll do the best I can."

"Thank you dear. Thank you so much."

Grandma then fell asleep a few minutes after. Amber was also starting to get sleepy until she heard the door click.

"Halmeoni! I'm home.. Are you.. Amber?"

"Ahh, yes. Sorry for coming unprecedentedly" 

"No. It's okay. Aigoo, did you wash the dishes? You shouldn't've"

"No. It's fine. They were just a few."

"It's late. I'm cooking. Please stay. It's a way of saying thanks."

"No. As much as I want to, I can't. My roommate is waiting for me."

"Aiish. Okay. Wait! I'll accompany you to the station."

"No. I'm good."

Right before Amber turned around to reach for the door, Key ran and opened it for her.

"After you."

Amber giggled.

"Look, uh Amber.. I'm really sorry for burdening you. I.."

"Shh. No! Don't think of it as a burden. I love to help. Besides, halmeoni is really sweet. She makes me feel right at home."

"Aigoo. Again, thanks. I owe you."

"Consider it paid. Thanks. I'll be going."

"Thanks. Careful on our way home."

"Ohh, by the way. Smile some more Key. It suits you better."

Key was surprised. "Yeah. sure."

Amber left. Key didn't close the door until she got out of sight. He then closed the door.

"What reason do I have to smile, Amber?" he mumbled.

Hey.. Sorry for not updating so long. I just want to give asianfanfics a big FFFUUU.. They had the site down the other night and the latest chapter got deleted.
